Omega's journey

Hi Janice

It is funny that you should say that about shoes.

As you know I do a fair bit of walking. Well if the weather allows I actually prefer to walk in a supportive sandal rather than a full shoe or boot. Well a couple of months ago I actually wore a hole right throught the middle of the sole of my favourite walking sandals. Fortunately I had recently bought a new pair and was in the process of breaking them in on short walks.

I tried to post some pics a couple of weeks ago - but couldnt get them to fit into the small size it appears that they need to be.

I think that there must be some trick that I dont know about to get them to reformat somehow.

I have found another way - so see my next posting here.

The scale is pausing for a few days with water retention. It might impact on this week's challenge. I dont mind though.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Photos along the way

Hi Friends

If you want to see me as I was a while ago and as I was last month - access this link.

I know that I still have a very long way to go. I am actually currently 13 pounds lighter than in the second two photos (taken when I went to my school reunion).

I do not have posed "before" photos as I really did not like having my photo taken. One was taken in 2005 and the other was taken in 2006. I have no idea of my weight on these dates.

I think that these are the four most recent photos that I have of me.

I am fully aware that I am currently bigger than most people are in their before photos.

Love
Margaret

Ok, now Iget the Bong Ponce humor..lol. I didn't know the Ponce part--some British slang I didn't know. :D

I'm with you and Kim about not denying oneself certain foods. I, too, eat what I want--just in moderation. If I tell myself I can't have a certain food it just makes me crave it all the more. I crave naughty things far less if I don't have it in my head that I can't have it. I'm one of those people who always wants what she can't have. :D

Mal

Sorry I didnt answer your question - it was late last night here!

I will probably try and do an occasional update. It depends on my courage levels. I am always apprehensive of the response.

Kimberly

Thanks. I was delighted when the double chin beat a retreat 4 days before the school reunion. Perfect timing!

Everyone wants what they are told they cannot have.

I try and convince myself (regarding really fattening stuff) that it would be better not to have something just now - but I could have it a bit later if I liked. Often it was a whim and I forget all about it. If not - I have some.

Very occasionally I have a day when I can eat everything that isnt nailed down. No portion control - no control whatsoever. It is emotional - I know. It doesnt matter whether it is in date or not, whether it is something I like or not - I just get this uncontrollable urge to eat the stupidest things. Thankfully I havent had one of those days in a couple of months. If I beat myself up over it - I do the same the next day!!! If I accept it and forgive myself I seem to be ok.

I hope you have a Happy/Goal Reachin' Weekend sweetie! :hug2:

I thought of you tonight, smiled, and had a lil giggle when I came across weetabix at the store! The giggle came on the next isle where they had raisins on sale! :D

:waving: TTYS!

Hi Stacy

I dont know why. You should be able to get to them if you click on the link.

You may need to register on the ringo website but that only takes a few seconds.

Not to worry - I have your email address - I'll send them to you.

Weetabix and raisins - glad that I cheered you up when out shopping. We'll be going to Tescos later today. Raisins are most definitely on the shopping list.

Take care

dropped points

Well as predicted I have dropped points in several challenges.

I am sure that I must be retaining water at the minute - so that means that on Friday I gained weight on the week instead of losing any. This will not help my two pounds a week challenge entry.

Surprise, surprise on Saturday's weighing I had not lost any weight over the week since last Saturday - so that is dropped points for the Christmas bonus.

Still it is all a game and I have tried my best - I can do no more. Hopefully in a couple of days things will get back to normal.

Hey Margaret!

Hi Natalie Jo

I have just put an entry in your new diary. We were probably going in each other's diaries at the same time. SNAP!!!

I am sorry about you and the ex.

Grow strong. Get another better one.

I am glad you like the pics. We can both beat this PCOS thing together. We do not have to be stuck in bodies that we dont really like. It is a struggle - but it is not impossible. I thought it was impossible for so long. Keep on dealing with it now. Dont be still fighting it at my age. I swear that walking, walking and walking some more is the answer!

Take care

Margaret

I plan to go walking tomorrow and write some of my new paper. Its on Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughter- House Five" ITs about a war... and what not ...one of the "modern" authors that I am reading for class...
I am mixing it in with my own reading ...

and I finally found the book I was working on before I met Alex, four years ago. I plan to pick it up again and just start taking from the first draft and working with that...
Starbuck's man will def turn up the temp for me when I go in ... he is oh so hot!:willy_nilly:

Hi Margaret,

Don't worry about the weight gain affecting the challenge. I just updated what's been logged as of now, and a lot of people didn't get full points this week. I think the number of people with perfect scores dropped from about 22to about 7...lol. You are still in the top 10, I believe. It's still anyone's challenge.

I'm sure you'll like this week's bonus much better than the last two weeks'! :D
