Omega's journey

CONGRATS ON THE NEW LOW!!

You will easily be in the 150s before the month is out!

I'm surprised your H is interested in fashion and the Rio Carnaval. Maybe he just likes looking at the women. :biggrinjester:

The next time he gets up, go grab the tape measure..lol.

I'm glad one of us is getting good weather. :) It's meant to be below freezing and snowy the rest of the week. :ack2: I'm thinking a vacation down South right about now sounds really good. No wonder so many retirees from here move South at least for the winter. :)

Have a greet week!

Margaret, you don't live too far from me (I live in the Paddington area)... if you ever feel like walking your 10 miles towards my house I will feed you nice lovely salmon ;)!!

I understand about hubby saying you are obsessive, mine says it too and I do not even invest half the time you do to this. But nevermind him, you are doing great!
Is our husband losing weight (as a side effect in a way) too? Because of your very healthy cooking and getting him to walk with you sometimes?
Mine used to be a fat child and when he was 15 or so he changed radically, grew like 20 cm, lost like 10 kg and now he is skinny as can be. He weighs about the same I do (maybe a bit more since I lost my 8 pounds)... but he is like 20 cms taller... oh dear!

Thanks for visiting. I love all the support that I get from you all.

Thanks everyone for your congratulations. I am sitting just over two milestones:
Getting under eleven and a half stone
Getting into the 150s

Kimberly

Anything that involves music, colourful ornate costumes and scantily clad young ladies has long gained my hubby's approval. As such he loves watching the carnival and belly dancing whenever it is on the television.

He happens to have a passing interest in fashion anyway (more than I have) and does sometimes watch fashion collections even though he often feels that the models are too thin - more meat on a butcher's apron is his opinion.

I am sorry that your poor weather continues. It was a little chilly as I set out this morning - but bright and there was a good forecast so I didnt take a jacket again today. I dont blame you for being ready for some sunshine.

Camy

Thanks for the invitation. I very rarely head into London. I had my fill of central London in the years that I spent working there. I spent too long working in the city and Canary Wharf. In my twenties I actually loved the buzz of the place and being at the sharp end of my profession. My opinion changed as I grew older. In the end I decided to remove stress and commuting from my life. My life is much more rural and tranquil now.

Never compare yourself to the time that I devote to my project. Remember that as a PCOS lady I have a bit of an uphill struggle as far as weight loss goes. Things just seem to work against me. I am greedy in that I want a normal rate of weight loss and am willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. You should be able to lose weight very successfully with some but much less exercise.

I wish that my hubby was losing weight. He has a high BMI (54.43) and he lost a little weight last year (a few pounds) but put it all on over Christmas. His weight is slowly trickling down again. He is currently getting his stepcount up to around 7,500 to 8,000 - which is better than it was but leaves room for improvement. His diet is not the best because he does have treats and has a sweet tooth. Also if he does not fancy what I am having he cooks something else for himself. I do worry about him but cannot tie my weight loss to his because he falls off the bandwagon too easily.

It is fortunate that your hubby slimmed down - you do not need to worry about him as much as I worry.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Congratulations Becky! 2.5 pounds is great!:party:
That is brilliant news. You are hurtling down to another milestone! At this rate you will be so slim when you start your university course.

I am doing fine thanks.

Gee, a man who likes looking at scantily clad women? How odd! :biggrinjester:
LOL@ more meat on a butcher's apron!! That is funny.

I'm sure you'll hit those two milestones very shortly. :grouphug:

It got down to -11F/-24C overnight! :ack2:

Hi Angel.

I know! I cannot believe the weather we have been having.

Having said that - I had to wear a jacket for my walk this morning - it was cold and really foggy as I set out. Having said that - by 10.30am I really didnt need it. I will not bother with one this afternoon.

You really appreciate English weather when you see what lots of the people on the forum is putting up with.

I hope that you have a good day too.

Take care

i know so true. people are getting below zero and all sorts. your walks must be getting a bit easier. doing anything in the cold is difficult.

It sounds like half of them have been snowed in since December or at least a good part of the time.

It is always much nicer walking in the dry - and really quite nice in the bright weather.

Good Morning Margaret~
Or I guess afternoon?
I am so jealous of your lovely weather. It has been soooo cold here for so long that I feel like I am going to need to build a snow cave like a bear and hibernate soon if it doesn't let up! LOL
Glad to see that you have achieved another new low. You are so close to breaking thru your two goals.
I can't wait until the day that we see that happen.
Hope your walks were pleasant today.
Catch ya later!

Hi Dawn

Thanks for visiting and the good wishes.

The weather is a total surprise here. We dont normally have weather like this in February. I just wish that you could enjoy it too. You all seem to be having such a tough winter this year. To be fair - we rarely get snow for more than a few days.

Certainly the brighter weather has made the walks more pleasant. There is something about unseasonably nice weather that makes a lot of people decide to go out for a walk. It kind of makes it more likely that you will bump into someone when you are out walking so the walk takes a little longer than normal. It is kind of nice though.

It always seems like we hover more just above milestones than anywhere else. I love milestones and enjoy reaching them all (half stone boundaries, ten pound boundaries, bmi numbers) but I sometimes wonder if I would hover as much if I had no milestones. I probably would of course - but it happens often enough to make you wonder.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Who would've guessed I'd ever be jealous of English weather?? :biggrinjester: Another cold and snowy one today, so I am indeed jealous of your lovely weather.

I see salmon was on the menu yesterday, so I'm curious to see if there was a new low today. :D

I think you're getting addicted to shreddies, therefore, next week's bonus will be NO SHREDDIES!!! Hahaha JK! :biggrinjester:

Hi Kimberly

No new low today - in fact - my weight stayed the same. It didnt even go down by a couple of ounces. Oh well - you cannot win them all. At least it didnt go up. Fish again tomorrow though so we can only hope.....

I think that I am getting addicted to shreddies. I kind of take the attitude that I can eat pretty much as much as I want as long as it is healthy food. If I can stick to that I am happy.

I would have great difficulty if you did set such a bonus.

Take care
Love
Margaret

I make you a solemn promise on a stack of Bibles that I will never make an anti-shreddie bonus. :D

Sorry to hear the salmon didn't work its magic, but I'm suspect the scale will behave tomorrow. :)
