Hi Kimberly
I am sorry that you havent seen those germs off yet. Since I know that you will be doing all the good things - hopefully they will be gone really soon.
I am pleased that your weight is going down. Weight fluctuations are fun - but I would rather know about them than not know. I really could not cope with not weighing myself every day. You said somewhere that you were in a challenge once where that was needed - I really could not do that. I need to know. Generally I look at the trend. I am fairly happy if my weight is less than it was about 10 days ago. If not I get a bit twitchy about it.
Accents are a funny thing. My husband experienced quite a culture shock when we first met. He had never been more than about 60 miles away from west London.
As a couple we got serious quite quickly - he proposed after we had known each other 6 weeks.
He quickly wanted to meet my family and offered to drive me home to Newcastle for a weekend. He was so funny. After we had gone 100 miles he kept saying "are we nearly there" about every 10 miles. He kept thinking that he must be about to turn off the motorway.
Some of my cousins had a much stronger geordie accent than I ever had. He met them and had a conversation (and naturally was trying to impress the whole family) - and I could tell that he couldnt understand a word that was being said, but was just using general purpose filler words as he did not want to say "please speak English". Anyway he had a whole conversation with one of my younger cousins about what pop music she really liked and as teenagers do she went to great length to tell him. At the end he asked what she thought of one group, and we all laughed. She had just spent ages telling him about how much she loved them.
My cousins have grown up now and their accents have softened - but his ear is more attuned.
I hope that you are feeling better soon.
Take care
Love
Margaret
