Ok, hi everyone. Just came by to let you all know that I did calm down last night. LOL And the guilt set in from turning to FunYuns and I did a little over 2 hours worth of working out so I'm certain I worked them off. I did 45 minutes worth of strength training (squats, lunges, crunches, lifting weights), about 20 minutes or so of cardio and then I did a FitTV AllStar workout that was an hour long. This one was a combination of cardio, yoga, and strength training with bands and light weights that was a whole body work out. WHEW I was T-I-R-E-D when I was done! But I felt a lot less guilty, so I dealt with it and didn't complain. My abs are SUPER sore today...but I like it! :D

Kick butt INDEED! Whew! It serves me right for eating those darn FunYuns! :p Thanks for coming by girlie! I guess I'll just have to buy a kickboxing DVD, though I already know I'm not going to do it as often as I would if I had a class to attend. Stuff "happens" and gets in the way at home...but I'll work it out somehow.
 
All the talk about chinese food has got me craving it...so I made my own version of chicken teryaki stirfry. Is that Chinese? Well, close enough. :p I have some lite teryaki sauce, chopped up some chicken tenderloins and cooked it in extra virgin olive oil. I have a broccoli stirfry medley from Bird's Eye (broccoli, carrots, onions, red peppers, water chestnuts, mushrooms and celery...and gonna have it all over brown rice. Its almost done and the house is smelling yummy!

Not too shabby if I must say so myself. :D
 
OHD, I'm glad you are in a better frame of mind. I had to wait till all my kids were in school to do a gym for those very reasons. I mean what are you supposed to do with your kids? But I'm a SAHM so I can catch it in the day time now and not have problems. So I wish you the best!!:D

Yea, me too...I like myself much better when I'm calm. :D It just makes no sense to me, the YMCA of all places. It just doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, I guess I'll HAVE to get motivated about Curves again...I have no other choice. :(
 
OHD, I'm sorry that happened to you. That's really not right. I'm just gald to see that you ate only one bag of funyuns, lol. I'm also happy you worked off your stress. I hope you can find something else to do. This makes me so sad, I know you were so excited :(
 
I am soooo freaking pissed right now and HUGELY disappointed. This makes no sense to me!!! I don't understand what the big deal is, why can't you have childcare for older kids?! I'm ashamed to say that in my despair, I turned to food. I stopped at the first gas station and got a bottle of water and a bag of Funyuns. I feel horrible about it, but I'm so very upset, disappointed and angry about this. The Y is a family/community place, this just makes no sense to me.:mad: :mad: :( :(

HUGS...I use to always do water aerobics at my local rec...they have childminding but when I wanted to use it it was open but they didnt take older children or babies as young as mine when I was looking it kinda suckz but really what can you do...so unfortunately I dont go to water sreobices...also the asshole was supposta start seeing her on the nights I wanted to go and that doesnt happen either...LOL...fortunately my oldest is old enough to be on her own in the pool and they offer the public swim in teh evening but not sat mornings...*UGH*

As far as the Y thoguh I think that is in bad taste for them...the advertise as a family gym and what have you, so sorry and OH what are those Funyuns or whatever ???
 
They're a tasty, HIGH sodium, fattening snack! :p :p ....they're basically onion flavored fried somethings shaped like a ring. :p

Yea, I'm quite disappointed in the Y.
 
Good morning everybody!!! It's Monday and it's a short week so WOO HOO! I was all energetic this morning and I walked into my office and all the enthusiasm was sucked out of me. :eek:

Hahaha...energetic and work...those words go together ??? Ive been int he dark and missing out all this time ??? LOL...Well I hope your monday goes well...I have a really small day today so I am hoping to get some Tennis in, a good walk and Curves...that is the minium...I need to get to Curves , oh and I will prob ride the bike...so tell me why arent I loosing weight anymore ??? LOL

Well, a guess would be your body is getting used to all of that...it happens and then weight loss slows down. I'd say vary your routine, maybe even cut back. Its the same premise as calorie cycling...keep your body guessing and then it requires more energy to adapt to the change in schedule. Just a guess. That's why at Curves I'll go around the circuit in the opposite direction sometimes or add an extra lap or two to my walk....your body gets hip to you and becomes used to the routine. You're doing great chica, keep up the hard work.
