DMR- That's Broome, we're at Cable Beach in the photos. That's like 7.30am so there's no one around!
Kate- LOL we went to the beach SO early in the morning, and straight from breakfast. We were planning to go back at night but by then I was feeling like a cripple. We are planning to go back in Feb though!!!
Jay- Thanks for stopping by!! I'm really lucky in our location even now (in this tiny desert town) we actually live on the coast so the beach is a 2 minute walk down the road. But yea, it's still a desert. We've come home to massive tumbleweeds in our front garden several times.
After the bad couple days of eating, I'm determined not to beat myself up about it. I think I'm going to re-adjust my goal for the month to 66kg (2kg a month is all I've been aiming for anyway!) If I lose more, than AWESOME!! I really well and truly want to be at my weight goal by my birthday (Feb 11) as we are going to fly back home and see family, and will be going on hols again... YAY! If I keep going how I'm going I can still get there, no need for the rush.
Also... My dad was diagnosed with gluten intolerance last week (it's not as severe as being a celiac) and apparently it can run in families. My dad suggested I try going gluten free for a week or two, and I thought why not? I've had several of the same problems he's had but usually got told it was mild IBS or lactose intolerance (NOT true, I eat dairy just fine!) He really only suggested it because gluten can cause inflammation and maybe it'll help me with my knee problem a bit faster. SO. Me experimenting for 2 weeks. Hoo Ha! I'm really excited, haven't done the grocery shopping anyway so did a rush order yesterday, stuff isn't even more expensive. I agree with all the ingredients too (I don't like eating anything in the ingredients I can't pronounce!).Best thing is, most of the stuff I eat already is gluten free, and I'm planning on eating exactly the same, just switching a few things for a similar version. So should be easy as! If it makes a difference, great. If not, then I can say I tried at least!
So food today
Breakfast: A big bowl of really healthy ice-cream. It was 1 cup almond milk, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 2 very small frozen bananas, 1 scoop of Amazing Grass choc powder, and 30g coconut choc butter.
Snack: An ACTUAL Larabar (coconut creme flavour)
Lunch: 2 sandwiches on brown rice bread with pastrami (no salad, must shop!)
Snack: 30g caraway seed crackers
Dinner: Homemade spinach quiche with brown rice crust
And of course, no exercise. I'm actually going back to work today, start at 9am. I said that I would stay as long as I could- if I can make it the whole day, great. If I can only manage 3 hours, fine. At least I tried. Have a good day everyone!
