New beginnings, new journey

Hey Verob- I'm really hoping I will!! I'm busting it as hard as I can without over-doing it so I should at least get close! Of course you're welcome for the recipes, I'll keep posting links to ones I have success with!

Yesterday at work dragged on sooo badly. Partly my fault, I think it was because I kept getting hungry since I wasn't eating as much during the day (haha so I could have that pizza at night!) I got there, and yes it ended up being worth it lol. By 8pm I was falling asleep already so I had a super early one last night. Feeling refreshed today!

Todays Plan

Breakfast: Baked oatmeal

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with pastrami and salad

Snack: 2 wholegrain crackers with cheese

Dinner: Roast beef with Greek salad

Dessert: Homemade super awesome coffee ice-cream

Exercise today is 30mins strength training and 1 hour of walking.

Woohoo, get through work today and then it's the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!! TGIF!

Got in a bit of a run this morning with my walk... not out of choice though. I'd never heard of a racehorse goanna before I moved here, just told there's heaps of them around and they're pretty vicious. Anyway, I think the sound of me walking startled one a few houses ahead of where I was walking- I just saw a giant lizard run halfway across the road, then stopped to stare at me. I didn't even think, I just bolted the 1km home. Haha!

Thought I'd put tomorrows plan down, going away tomorrow with my hubby and Wade to the next nearest town... 2.5hrs drive lol. So we'll be leaving fairly early!

Tomorrows plan

Breakfast- 2 homemade protein bars

Food for the day away: 2 vegemite sandwiches and homemade banana bread

Homemade coffee ice cream when I get home

Exercise is 1hr walk.

Not much in the way of veg but it's a weekend! Oh and it's incredibly hot up here and wouldn't survive a car trip.

5 perfect days down, 2 to go then weigh day! Tomorrows plan:

Breakfast: Homemade larabar

Post-workout snack: 2 quorn sausages

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with vegemite

Snack: Homemade vanilla and almond milk protein ice-cream

Dinner: Garlic and mushroom pizza

Exercise is a 30min walk and 30mins strength training.

I ordered a gym step off Ebay today, going to add that into my workout routine with the new month! Getting excited for weigh in day, I feel like I've shrunk a bit this week!

Wow! 5 good days down, only 2 to weigh in:) You are doing brilliant, i hope you lose a good number this week:D:D

im excited for that step off ebay thing, let me know how it goes, i might want to buy it too:D

Goodluck for your weigh in day daaaaaaarling xxxxxx

Thanks Irish!!

I woke up this morning STARVING- don't even know why because I felt really satisfied when I went to bed. Well I looked at what I'd planned to eat today and the pizza was the biggest meal, so I cooked it for breakfast!! Haha!! I'll just have what I was going to eat for brekki for dinner.

Planning on having the laziest Sunday EVER... letting my pizza settle a bit then on to my workout. Got a heap of movies with my hubby to watch and might do a bit of cleaning... and that's it!

Finished today with a 1024cal deficit... 6 perfect days down! Just need to get through tomorrow and then it's weigh day!! Decided to eat fairly heavily in the first part of the day and only having a light snack when I get home from work. Don't want to have any reason to sabotage myself!

Tomorrows plan

Breakfast: 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 pieces wholemeal grain toast

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with pastrami and mustard

Snack: Homemade larabar (HIGHLY recommend this recipe: http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/08/12/hot-fudge-brownie-larabars/)

Dinner: Homemade icecream with 1 cup almond milk, 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, drop of vanilla. Serving with 250g strawberries

Exercise is a 20min interval program on my exercise bike and a 30min walk (possibly an hour, have to see if Wade will walk after 6pm when I get home)

Hope everyone had an awesome weekend, I'm off to play catch up on diaries!!

eeeeeeeeek, 6 perfect days, you are awesome girly, i cant waaaaait for weigh in day for you:D I have a good feeling you are going to lose a good number :D xx

Thanks Irish- I actually think I look like I've lost a fair bit this week. My waist seems to have suddenly become a lot more defined. Hoping I've lost enough to make my deficit a bit smaller again this week, woke up absolutely starving again today!

Hoo ha, back to work. Why do weekends always go so damn fast?? Lazy days are soooo nice! I'm doing a 6 day work week this week because I have 3 days off next week. The overtime will fund a bit of the romantic weekend-in-the-middle-of-the-week away! Leaving in a week, WOOT! It means I'll only have 6 days to lose this week as I'm going to weigh in on Mon (the day we are leaving) as my final weigh in for the month as we'll still be away Tues. Fingers crossed I've bounced back from my eating frenzy last week!

AWell done sweetie...You are doing sooooooo well and are so determined at the moment. Very inspiring.
I bet you are so excited about your romantic weekend away!!! So excited for you.

68.5kg on the scales today!! I really want to be 68kg by Mon but unsure if it'll happen- TOM arrives this week. Last month I had a perfect week and only lost 200g lol. Who cares, I'll try bloody hard to get there anyway! I only need a 700cal deficit every day to get there so can up my food intake again.

Todays Plan

Breakfast: Homemade protein bar, homemade larabar

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with roast beef, salad and mustard

Snack: Homemade larabar

Dinner: Spinach quiche

Snack: Bowl of homemade vanilla icecream

Exercise is a 30min walk and 30mins of strength training. Should end up with a 926cal deficit today!

Decided to have a couple of heavier food days for the next couple days. Plan for tomorrow has a 744cal deficit-

Breakfast: 2 homemade larabars

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with pastrami, mustard and salad

Snack: 2 wholegrain crackers with cheese

Snack: Homemade vanilla/almond icecream

Dinner: 2 sausages with Greek salad

Exercise is 20mins intervals on my exercise bike and a 30min walk.

Urgh so TOM is definitely coming, feel all bloated and horrible. Just got to get through the next week, hopefully will still manage another loss!!

Hey there, nice diary! and another fellow Aussie!

Was funny some of the parts in your diary -getting locked outside hahah- and very inspirational read too, you've stuck with it awhile! Best of luck with the the rest of your weight loss only some 10kg till your goal? :D

Arrghg.... So guess I'll have to start listening to my body a little more. The past couple of workouts my knees were a little clicky and a bit twingey, nothing major at all but enough to be noticeable. Anyhoo... Today after work I went for my usual walk and came back to do my biking intervals. Got all the way through it, and my knees were a bit annoying again. Finished my workout and 5 mins later my knees were pretty damn swollen. I'm sitting on the couch with my knees up on pillows lol. So NO WORKOUT TOMORROW! There's no pain or anything, I've just never had that kind of reaction before! I can walk normally and everything, but straightening my legs out I can feel a bit of pressure from the swelling (how I noticed it in the first place). So plan for tomorrow...

Breakfast: 2 homemade larabars

Snack: Homemade icecream with a banana

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with pastrami, mustard and salad

Snack: Homemade larabar

Dinner: Slow cooked Vindaloo with lean veal, cauliflower and sweet potato

Exercise will just be a 30min walk.

Looks like I'll be taking it fairly easy the next few days!! Might just do a couple of upper body workouts to get me through to the next month, then I change my workout anyway for the new month.

DMR- Thanks for stopping by! I'm so excited, almost at single digits to lose... and almost 1/3 of the way there!! Always nice to see a fellow Aussie!

Irish- You always make me smile! Don't ever stop being such a sweetheart :hurray:

Ok I've decided to take a day off from everything today. Still no pain in my knees or anything, but they are a bit stiff as they're still a bit swollen... so I decided I didn't want to agitate them by working on my feet or walking. So I called work, the store manager was fine with it because I was going to work 6 days this week anyway so I have today off and work Fri-Sun. Decided I probably won't work out the rest of the week also (lower body anyway) depending on how my knees are tomorrow, I might still do an upper body work out and possibly go for a walk. Just playing it by ear! Not going to let my goals cause me an injury. In the meantime... I'm going to have a lovely relaxing day chilling at home! Here is my modified food plan:

Breakfast: 2 homemade larabars

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with pastrami, mustard, and salad

Snack: Homemade vanilla icecream

Dinner: Homemade Vindaloo curry with lean veal, sweet potato and cauliflower

Exercise will involve lounging on the couch and watching every awesome movie I can think of. I'll have a 785 cal deficit today, so my other heavier food day out the way! Then I'm planning on 3 days of 1000cal deficits. Bring it!

K kinda starting to feel sorry for myself now... how did I let this happen??????????????? Got my knees up on a pillow, they still don't hurt but my quads feel really tight and my knees are really weak when I walk and I think it's the lower part of my quad above my knee that's swollen, not my knees. Still haven't got any pain, so don't think a doctor is necessary. I'm hoping this will go down by itself. Arrrghghghgh FML.

Not more than I should have been, I think maybe it was just a combination of everything, then the past 2 weeks I added in bike intervals on my in-between strength days and I think I've overdone it. It doesn't hurt, I'm just really stiff. Kind of like muscle soreness the next day after a workout, but without the soreness... just the weakness and a bit of swelling. I don't really want to have to go to a doctor unless it's absolutely necessary though, I've only been living here for 2 months so I don't have a doctor here, and the doctor surgery here is walk-in so I could end up waiting for hours, ditto the hospital. I'll wait and see how I am tomorrow after a day of rest.

My mom had tendonitis in one leg last summer and it was very very painful so if your not feeling pain mabe it`s something else! I know what you mean about having to wait for a DR we are lucky we have a family DR but when ever we call for an appointment it can take a week to see the DR and when you do get an apointment they are usually running at least an hour late! Good Luck to you rest well hope you feel better soon!
