New beginnings, new journey

Got called into the office today at work, I'm starting to learn office tomorrow... so 6am starts, hurray... don't know how often they are but at least several early starts a week now. I think I'm working 6am-2.30pm tomorrow or something, then I'll exercise after. Also have to grocery shop tomorrow- I'll have a chance to poke through the recipe books that came with my vitamix and grab some stuff to test some recipes, I'm excited!

Also have my weigh in tomorrow morning, I'm hoping for around 69.5ish.


Tomorrows Plan

Breakfast- Homemade protein bar

Snack- Homemade banana bread

Lunch- 2 Wholemeal grain sandwiches with pastrami (forgot to buy salad again)

Snack- 2 wholegrain crackers with cheese

Snack- Light cheese and crackers

Dinner- 2 sausages and Greek salad


Exercise is 30mins strength training and a 30min walk.

I have to admit that i didn't do your program this evening, even though i promised that i would :( :( :( I woke up this morning and my arms hurt so so much and across my chest was killing. My bum and legs ached too. I can't remeber being in so much pain after a workout. My arm was shaking while i was holding my phone to my ear this morning lol. So pathetic!!! I will try tomorrow!!

How much was your vita-mix? what is it?
 
Good morning all (BAH, it's 5.25am!!! THE SUN ISN'T OUT YET!!) Can you tell I don't like earlies at work!??? And now it's going to be a permanent thing, arrgghghghghghgh.


Weigh day today!! I stepped on the scales at 69.4kg. Feels good to see a six in front of there again!


I'm off to get another cup of coffee.................. Will catch up on journals later!
 
I made it through the day... When I went to lunch at 11am I was absolutely STARVING. I got to the lunch room to see 3 massive platters of baked goods- a huge tray of about 10 varieties of cookies, a big platter of doughnuts, and another of assorted pastries (this happens a few times a week when the bakers over-bake) I grabbed my sandwiches and physically moved the trays away from me down the table. Ate my sandwiches so fast I got hiccups (lol) but I wasn't full when I'd finished, so I jumped straight up and went to the cafe over the road and got a small skim flat white (cuz I was desperately tired too!) Well it took about 15mins to get my coffee because of the queue, and by the time I got it my sandwiches had caught up with me so I wasn't hungry when I sat back down in the lunch room. Crisis averted!

Got home and SMASHED my workout, I forgot how much easier things are to do in the afternoon (I used to work out in the evenings). Got my walk in, then felt like eating again. Nommed down 1/2 a packet of noodles, a huge bowl of icecream, and a sausage. But... I ate the kelp noodles, so my 'massive bowl' was a whopping 9 calories, the big bowl of ice-cream was me experimenting with my vitamix... last night I mixed up a protein shake with water, froze it, then threw it in as per directions on my new blender... came out big and puffy. And only 70 calories. And only had one sausage because by then I was full, haha! Tricked my body into thinking it'd eaten a mountain though, I feel like rolling everywhere... 930 calorie deficit for the day. Decided I want to aim for a 900- 1000cal deficit each day this week, want to smash some weight this week!


Got another 6am start tomorrow, so I'll post food and stuff now...

Breakfast: Homemade protein bar, leftover sausage

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with roast beef and salad

Snack: 2 wholegrain crackers with cheese

Snack: Homemade chocolate fudgsicle

Dinner: Last 2 sausages with Greek salad


Exercise- Since my feet aren't hurting anymore, I'm going to attempt a run again... bought some insoles for my shoes, going to see if they make a difference. So attempt 2 at c25k, workout 1!


Grocery shopping soon too, picking my husband up from work at 7pm and shopping before we go home. Hoo ha!
 
My day started off pretty terribly- woke up with an eye infection and then right when I was about to leave for work, got a sudden rush of nausea and thought I was going to vomit. Unfortunately for me I was getting picked up, my ride was outside and honking the horn, so I raced out and the whole drive to work I was trying so hard not to throw up in her car! She was talking to me but I didn't hear a thing she said, I just kept saying "yes, yep".... Finally got to work, raced to the toilet, dry heaved a couple of times and then I was fine. So I continued on with work, and a couple hours later one of the ladies working with me felt really sick all of a sudden and had to sit down, then she went home thinking she was going to be sick. So I think maybe there is something going around here!

Apart from that, and my incredibly terrible sleep that I had last night, I made it through today. When I got home from work I was SO tempted to grab a heap of food, veg on the couch and feel sorry for myself (because I'm too tired to function right now... and I have to clean the house still for rent inspection tomorrow!) I couldn't face the idea of going for a run, but also couldn't face the thought of ruining my efforts for a sugar high... So I got dressed and went for a 30 min walk. Felt a lot better by the time I got home! Ended up cooking dinner, a brown rice crusted broccoli and cheese quiche. Was yum! Finishing the day on a 944cal deficit.

Breakfast: Homemade protein bar, a sausage (didn't eat them today because I ended up cooking dinner!)

Snack: Another sausage

Lunch: Quiche leftovers

Snack: Homemade banana bread

2nd lunch (work break): 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with roast beef and salad

Snack: 2 wholegrain crackers with cheese


Exercise is 30mins strength training and a 30min walk. Fairly certain I'm working late tomorrow, I'm going in as soon as the inspection is over- but it could happen any time between 9am-12pm. So might end up waiting around for ages, grrr!

Your morning today sounded so rubbish, i can't believe you actually managed to go to work. You deserve a bloody gold star sweetie. :)

I am going to do my Lucy program on friday. I have promised my gym buddy that i would go with her tomorrow and i am not confident enough to do it in front of others yet. Sorry i have been so flaky. I will do it

Heya Kate, I lost 700g this week! Hope you're feeling better too.


That little eye infection I mentioned at the beginning of my last post? I bought pharmacy grade drops for it yesterday when I knocked off work (I was too lazy to get some on a break) but it didn't help... I woke up this morning looking like I'd been punched in both eyes. So NO work for me today. If it's still really bad when my husband gets back from work then I might have to go to the doctor and get something stronger, I'll see how the pharmacy drops go though.

Oh had a bit of a big fail last night, ended up eating a huge amount of food, around 1000cals over maintenance. Biggest flop in about a month so actually I'm pretty impressed I made it that long that well, haha! Straight back into it today though, I know if I have a 1000cal deficit every day for the rest of the week I'll still get to my goal.


So food and exercise are much altered for the day- I'm not going to exercise, it'll be my day off for the week. Don't want to do ANYTHING to aggravate my eyes, which includes walking outside in the dust and wind (which I'm pretty sure is how I got it in the first place. It gets freakin WINDY here and dust and sand blow around so much you sometimes can't see much) and getting sweat or anything else in them.


So altered food for the day:

Breakfast: Homemade protein bar

Snack: Homemade banana bread

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with roast beef and salad

Snack: 2 wholegrain crackers with cheese

Dinner: Leftover broccoli quiche


And NO exercise. I'm sitting home and feeling sorry for myself (no not really, I'm going to be watching awesome movies that I have not yet decided on. Also I've found the most amazing online lingerie store that sells the most incredibly gorgeous sets for people with huge boobs... figleaves.com if you're interested! I'm addicted!)
 
O. MY. GOD. I am completely mortified. While cleaning for rent inspection, I went to put some rubbish out and the door closed behind me... I thought nothing of it of course. Until I went back to OPEN the door and it was locked!!! FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK!

So I walked to the store managers house down the road, barefooted, puffy eyed, wearing a wrinkly old dress I'm cleaning in... of COURSE she wasn't going to be home. No, that would be much too easy. So walking back I spotted a couple of kids on their way to school and their mum let me use their phone to ring my husband. I must've looked like a homeless/ drug addict/ trollop now that I've gone inside and looked at myself in the mirror.


I was so upset by the time my husband got here as ANOTHER neighbour had heard me asking for help but must've thought I'd been waiting a while, as she came with another phone asking if I was ok.


Kind of wanted to sink into a hole in the ground... actually still do. Why am I so clumsy and embaressing????????????????????????

Crappy day huh!! I hope your eyes feel better soon. And don't worry about your bad food day, you know what you did and you moved on and didn't beat yourself too much about it. Yay!!!!

I'm sorry sweetie, i did giggle when i read about you locking yourself out. I bet it wasn't funny for you!! I had to post a 5 year old Jack through a small window once when i locked us out. It is proper stressy huh.

Hey Kate... I know it was a funny situation. I was pretty upset when I got in the house so I called my mum and me re-telling the story had us both laughing so hard we were crying. So I definitely see the humour in it lol :smilielol5: My eyes are still dodgy though, I was going to go to the doctor today but the drops I got from the pharmacy are starting to work, so I'm having another day off work and hopefully they'll be all good in a few days.


Well I wasn't awesome food wise yesterday, I managed a 430cal deficit... better than nothing, but I am definitely aiming for a 1000cal deficit today! 4 days till weigh day, so 4 perfect days!

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with cheese and salad

Dinner: 4 slices spinach pizza

Yesterday was bad. I'm over it- 3 bad days in a row is more than enough!! I'm aiming for a 10,000cal deficit over 10 days now! Got to weigh 68.5kg (or less) by the end of it. Bringing it back again! My eyes are better so now no excuses!

Posting again already lol... Thought I'd just let you know I just did my workout- fully KILLED it- and went for my walk... I'm feeling back to normal and fully charged again. Going to smash through 10 perfect days!!!!!!! HELLO motivation, my old friend!
 
70.1kg on the scales today, BOO. I know I was pretty bad this week, but I would have still had a small deficit so I'm thinking it's probably fluid. I might jump on the scales again tomorrow and see if there is a significant difference. Going to really have to bring it for the rest of the month to get to my goal! I'm still confident I can do it. Starting with 7 perfect days with a 1000cal deficit...

Well my eyes were MUCH better until I went to work today, now they've gotten a lot worse overnight... Had to spend a lot of time in and out of the freezer yesterday and helped outside for a bit and it was so windy again. I didn't want another day off because I need the money for our weekend away in a fortnight!


I do have some good news though, my bestie from Perth arrived on Saturday (which is why I haven't written for a few days) and he's living with us. He starts work with us today too!! So I'm not alone up here anymore.

I son lockes me in the basement almost everyday now he thinks it`s hilarious when mommy goes down to do the laundry to lock the doors. I now keep a key to the front door so I can go back inside cause we don`t have a key for the basement. Once I was wearing only my underwear and in order to get to my front door I have to walk alfway around the house right to the front on main st across from the only restaurant in town...I was very pissed at my kids then. So you are not the only this happens to.


Good job getting back on track and by then end of those 10days I am sure you will get great results.
 
Verob- What a rat bag!! I can't believe you had to walk around the front of your house in your underwear, kind of puts my story to shame. You poor thing!


2 perfect days in a row!! Finished yesterday with a 980cal deficit, and ending today on a 1004cal deficit.

Todays exercise- just did my 30mins of strength training, and have been for a 30min walk... going for another one when Wade gets home, he wants me to help him lose weight (he's a pretty big guy) so I promised to make him walk for 30mins with me every day until he has a bit more stamina for some strength training!

By the way- I stepped on the scales today like I said I would- 69.3kg! I'm hoping to lose at least another half a kg this week to get to 68kg by the end of next week!! Not changing my ticker or anything, I just wanted to see what my odds were of reaching my goal this month... I knew it was fluid!


End of next weekend I'm going away on a romantic weekend with my husband too, I'm so excited! We haven't done anything together like that since our wedding 2 years ago, it's well overdue. I have Wade living here to look after the cats now too so that makes life a little easier.
