New beginnings, new journey

I'm not so swollen today, but my knees are achey. I'm taking another day off work and hopefully that will be enough. I think maybe my cheap little department store stationary bike is not the right shape or match for what I was doing on it, and I'm now paying the price. One of my knees is a bit more swollen than the other, but I can still walk on it so I think maybe it's a light sprain. And I have really fatigued-feeling quads lol, not as bad as yesterday though! I slept with my legs elevated all night and I had to keep getting up to pee, haha! Really hoping I'll be able to go back to work tomorrow, at least for a few hours. Unsure if I'd be able to do a full 9hr shift on my feet until maybe when we get back.


Oooh, I have some good news!! WHen I moved up here I ordered 4 work shirts, 2 size 12s (because I knew I'd put on a heap of weight) and 2 size 10s (haha because I was planning on losing even more!) The size 12s have always been huge but the 10s were still tight around my boobs... well I tried one on yesterday, and I drown in it everywhere else but the boob part fits! Yay!


Ended on a 939cal deficit yesterday because I didn't want to keep getting up to get food. It was annoying enough having to get up to go to the toilet heaps because I was drinking heaps of water!


Todays plan

Breakfast: Homemade larabar

Snack: Homemade larabar

Lunch: Instant vegetable biryani

Snack: 2 rows of raw lucuma and maca naturally sweetened chocolate

Dinner: Salmon and vegetables (like a tinned thing)


Haha can you tell I plan on doing as little as possible???? I'm reaching into my emergency stash of longlife food at the bottom of my pantry... for days I don't want to cook. At least I'm not living on junk food while I feel sorry for myself, which I've SOOO done with other fitness-related injuries (bad sprain on the same ankle twice). Hopefully I'll still get to 68kg this week!!!!
 
Decided to be responsible and go and see a doctor today, I made an appointment for 2pm which is in a couple of hours... just hope someone can come out and take me as both Ash and Wade are working, and it's fully crazy there today!! Hate being so far away from everyone else that can help, and my own doctor. I really hope I haven't done anything serious :nopity:
 
Feeling really sad and alone, don't know if I'll be able to see a doc or not as my hubby and Wade haven't gotten back to me. Really hoping I can go otherwise I'll have to go to the hospital tonight :cry: I'm really not liking being this far away from everyone. Want my mum!
 
Wade is picking me up, and he's going to try to bring crutches. Oh bless. I have no idea what I would've done without him. My husband probably would've come home to find me a blubbering mess! And then I probably would've spent hours at the hospital tonight. Wish me luck, I'll write tonight to let you know what the go is...........
 
Sorry for my pity party guys. I just hate being reminded how cut off we are up here! Doctors verdict is I have really overworked quad muscles and gave me muscle relaxants. So I'll be spending my weekend in a sleepy drug bubble while I heal, yay. Soooooo glad it was nothing serious!


Since I had to get up and move around anyway I'm a lot looser and can walk much better, but Wade thinks I'm walking like a grandma/robot. So awesome look lol.

oh my...hope things smooth out.. should try getting a good, massage for the quads, I remember my brother hurt his muscle over working it or what not and went and got a deep tissue massage or chriopractor? and fixed him right up.


Regardless get well soon! and treat yourself to a massage anyway!
 
My legs feel a fair bit better today, yay! Except my calves are cramping pretty bad, I think it's from walking around awkwardly the past couple of days. Hopefully I'll be good and ready to go enjoy my time away on Monday!!

Lunch: Wholemeal grain sandwich with pastrami and mustard

Snack: Homemade vanilla icecream

Dinner: Cup of brown rice with instant Kashmir spinach (another emergency pantry meal)


This will give me an 858cal deficit.


Not too sure what to do today, I'm pretty drowsy from the muscle relaxant still that I took last night (totally worked wonders!) Definitely another quiet one anyway, maybe I'll have to find some movies to watch.
 
Thanks DMR, I'm actually not too sure there's anywhere up here to get a massage, and I'm told that no one goes to the chiropractor here (or the dentist) because they're quite bad at what they do lol. Everyone waits till they can go to the next town (2 and a half hours away) to get anything done. It really sucks living in the middle of nowhere!
 
Number crunching and photo comparisons for the month people!!


Not doing my last official weigh in for the month until Monday when I leave (Tue is my normal weigh in but I'll be away) but I've taken measurements and comparison photos. I think the photos are a pretty dramatic difference this month! Wearing a new bikini I bought for the weekend away too, don't know if I'll actually be able to swim though with my legs lol. Actually not sure I'm even confident enough to wear a bikini out in public yet haha! Also the size 12 bottoms are done up as tight as they can go but they are super loose at the back, shoulda got 10s. Oh well...


Measurements (note, I was wearing a different bra measuring my chest this time around). First numbers are my start measurements (in cms), second number is start of second month, and the last numbers are todays.

Legs are a bit better today, though my lower right calf is still a bit crampy and my ankle is a bit swollen. Dang it! Oh and TOM came today, just in time for my romantic getaway. Hurray. At least I'm going somewhere to just chill out and do nothing! BTW- muscle relaxants worked amazingly well. I seem to remember waking up in the middle of the night thinking I was floating on a cloud and cuddling myself at the same time... Hmmmmmm...


Tomorrows plan

Breakfast: 2 sausages

Snack: 1 row of raw sour cherry and acai chocolate

Lunch: 2 wholegrain crackers with pastrami

Snack: Homemade icecream made with Amazing Grass Green Superfood powder, a small banana, and a tablespoon of coconut and cashew butter

Dinner: Salmon and vegetable meal thing


Still no activity tomorrow at all, not planning on doing anything at all until I get back from my time off. Will have a 1001 calorie deficit tomorrow, and then final weigh in for the month the next morning! Eep!

Kate- Lol yea the tops I'm wearing in the first two pics are small on my boobs, they spread them out and flatten them down so you can't really see how ginormous they actually are. Can't believe I barely lost anything off them this month, arggh!! They're the only thing standing between me and my size 10!! Lol and thanks for you and your hubby's comments, still don't know if I have the confidence to wear a bikini out in public! Doubt I could swim anyway, I'm still hobbling everywhere, haha!


My awesome plans for today involve Wade and a helluva lot of Sex and the City. I'm pumped!


Got to say, I made the *BEST* icecream ever yesterday, and I accidentally made it more awesome than I thought it'd be! I froze a cup of almond milk with a tbsp of maple syrup and a drop of vanilla, then stuck it in my awesome high powered blender with a frozen banana and a tbsp of coconut cacao butter. Because the nut butter has coconut in it, it went rock solid when it hit the frozen ingredients and when I blended it, it turned into choc chips. Hahaha!!! Made the HUGEST bowl of icecream ever!!! I'm making a chocolate version today, I'll take a photo and show you just how much it makes.

Squeeeeeeeeeeee I'm so freakin excited about going away!!! The resort we are staying at has a restaurant and a cafe, and they both only have healthy (but AWESOME) sounding food. It's like all modern Mediterranean type stuff, so ALL my fave veges... and cheeses... And seafood. And there's a juice bar. And a beauty and hair salon. There's a huge gym and stuff too but no exercise till next week for me... I think the exercise I'll be getting will be walking around and shopping.


Did I mention I'm freakin excited?


Oh, and I can almost walk like a normal person now...!

Aheya hun. I just read your post to Mark and after giggling about what you said about your boobs, he said 'She hasn't got the confidence to wear her bikini in public???? Is she for real?? She will have men drowling over her!! Men will be like those cartoon characters or Jim Carey in 'The Mask' ya know, with their eyes popping out of their heads!' he said 'you look fucking amazing!!'

Sorry, i had to tell you. Like i said, you do look stunning sweetie and i will be proper cross and shout at you if you don't wear it :cuss: that will be me shouting :)
 
67.8kg people!!! Reached my goal for the month, WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I'm now 1/3 of the way to my goal, and if I was weighing in pounds it would put me in the 140s at 149.4.


Yay and I have less than 10kg to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Setting the bar a little higher this month to see if I can do it- want to be 65kg by the end of this month. That's a daily deficit of 745cals and a loss of 700g a week. Exercise may have to be short upper body workouts for a while, possibly with walking again in a week or two. Boo!


In other news, my right leg is cramping again today and my achilles is a tiny bit swollen, I can still point and flex my foot and I'm fine when I walk, just if I sit down for a while or when I wake up in the morning. Might've strained it slightly from hobbling without being able to bend my knees... DOH!


Kate- Big LOL, bit of an image! If the occasion comes up for me to wear a bikini, I will (most likely... 37 degrees every day this week, where we are going is usually around the same only much more humid!) and I promise I'll get my husband to take a photo. Which him being him, I think he will very gladly do lol.
