Need all the support I can get!

Great I love camping so much so I'm sure you'll have a great time (you would if you were me). The only thing is in Scotland we have these evil little beasts called midges that bite. They're a bit like mosquitoes but occur in swams of millions. Just as well my tent has a midge net!

In fact you've put me in the mood for camping now, I might just head out on the weekend the library is shut!:)
 
Ah! Camping is great!! We are definitely going to have to introduce our girls to the world of camping some time soon. Maybe it'll be a goal for next summer. Good job running and sticking to few calories each day. Keep it up!
 
Camping! How fun!! Have a great time! I just noticed you were from upstate New York... it is so BEAUTIFUL there... I went there on a work assignment one time for a week... I stayed at this place called Lake Joseph... Inn at St. Joseph near Montecello or something like that... I fell in love with the place!!

So I have finally returned...somewhat saddened. We had a great time, hiked, biked, ran, and waded in the 58 degree water burrrr! But I enjoyed way too much popcorn, smores and a dump cake...so much for healthy eating. Tomorrow is a new day and I will try hard to get back on track. I keep hearing that little voice say "as usual you screwed up and you'll never get back on track now!" But I am doing my best to replace it with my positive thinking and looking at tomorrow as a fresh day to do it all right!

Crunchie - we have black flies...they bite and leave you bleeding as if you have been shot!!! I have this great stuff called crocodile! and it is the best herbal insect repellent out there you can find it at . So did you go camping?

ciaoana, Crunch bootcamp is not really scary:p lots of pushups though!!! If you look at the state of NY and put your finger right in the middle...I live there...near syracuse. We have some gorgeous state parks here in the Adirondacks and in the Catskills (where we went this week!)

Hypo,mommy,vala,and missp, crunchie and ciaoana...I wish I had read your encouragament before I left...I will do my best to follow my own advice and be POSITIVE tomorrow!!!
 
Don't listen to that little voice, you'll get back on track and be all the better for the break!

Urg black flies sound a bit scary, do they occur in swams of zillions? I remember when I was on the Isle of Skye stripping off for a shower to find I looked like I had really bad chickenpox due to the attention of midges. It wouldn't have been bad if I'd stayed in my tent but I was out at the pubs at night. I remember I found them all gathered in the doorway to my tent between the midge net and the doorway, had to upzip the thing then zip it back up really quick to stop them getting in.:rolleyes:

Anyway don' worry about a wee weekend slip up, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't get back on track. All you have to do is stick to your weight loss plan and you've been doing so very well so far!:)
 
Hey You:D You will get back on track and just ignore that little vioce.. You are in control of your body and the way you feel. Don't give up and just move on. HAve a Great day and stay Positive. Drink your WATER!!!! How many onces have you had already?? :p
 
Crunchie black flies do swarm, but not quite like it sounds your midges do! Thank God, the weirdest thing about black flies is that most of the time you do not even feel the bite...it is when someone notices the blood rolling down your neck or forehead do you realize you have been bitten then of course they itch like crazy the next day!!
Well I ran my 3.5 mile loop as usualjust adding a few more steps each leg. As far as eating...ugh...not great I stopped keeping track around dinner...I was just too ashamed.... I was so positive all day and then my appetite got the best of me. HELP!!!!!! Wait, now I have to reload my postive thinking chip that has been working so well the past 4 weeks. Where the hell did I put it:mad: ! I am hoping that ...no I know that tomorrow will be the best day...I am going to make myself accountable by actually putting everything on line like crunchie and the others do. Maybe that will kick start this thing again. Some one check up on me and make sure I am doing what I say I will do to help me keep on track :eek: Doing my best to STAY positive...for those who have read my posts about "What the *bleep* do We Know?" I am getting out my eyeliner and writing "This body does not need junk food! Only 1200 calories a day!" I know your all thinking ..."she's completely lost it now!"
 
Just keep up with the positive thinging.;) I think you just may have something there!

That little voice in your head has no idea what it's talking about- You can do this! FORCE yourself to keep track of what you ate yesterday and what you're eating today. You might not want to see it, but sometimes it helps (and I've noticed there are a few people on this forum who will help keep you accountable if you slip up!) Go to the store and buy your favorite HEALTHY food and stock up!

Red lipstick is also effective... :) actually I have post it notes on my bathroom mirror to remind me of things... :) You haven't lost it - whatever you have to do to motivate yourself.. you're doing...

Tell the voices to shut up...
 
It's hard to stick with, but it's oh so worth it! Keep it up! Back flies sound absolutely awful. Are those like the ones on Survivor? Ick! We just have West Nile Virus around here!!!
 
I just recently discovered the power of a complete turnaround...in toher words going from a defeated, negative, about-to-binge attitude to taking a long, brisk walk (for example) and staying on track. It was too much for me to handle all at once, but you're probably stronger...

It feels very...enpowering...

I think "control" is the word I need to write in a big black sharpie on my forehead- "YOU are in CONTROL"

spelin it occurs to me I have a photgraph of myself being ravaged by midges that you might find amusing. I was a very warm summers night and given my clothing I hope you'll forgive me for looking so grumpy heh. That's me in the bottom corner and as you can see I wasn't amused at having to wear a hood in the middle of summer.

Well, I have found myself today. I had to go shopping for a dress for a wedding this weekend and I was dreading going. Well, I ended up getting a size 10! Granted it is an a line dress, but very cute, low back and kind of low cut front..black of course. I grabbed an 8 by mistake..thinking it was a 12 and it actually fit, although a little snug so I tried the 10 and PERFECT FIT! I have to say that I haven't done the happy dance in a dressing room in a very long time. So I have put myself back on track and as promised ...here are the things I ate today:

Breakfast: 1 hardboiled egg and egg white95 cals
Lunch: Lean cuisine meal 220 and salad 148
Snack: skinny cow ice crean 140 cals
Dinner: big salad and dressing290 cals
Total 893 so I still have some cals if I want a snack before 7 pm.
Also did my NYC body plan workout 40 minutes...it is killer though! Hoping to make it out for a walk in between the rain bursts:D !
THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who posted......I really appreciate your encouragemnt...it means so much.

You guys...I love ya!!!! I am pretty happy about the dress....wish my pants size was a 10 now....but dammit it will be:D ! Gotta love being a pear shape..I can literally wear a small/med on top and large/xlg on the bottom. Curses!!!;)

BTW...jumped on the evil little monster in my bathroom today (scale) and it was actually kind to me...2 more pounds gone for a gran total of 5 lbs!!! YAY !!!!! Emmcookie...I happy danced naked!!!!!
