155.4 this morning

Hubby treated us to a meal at our fave Italian restaurant last night. :) I was so good. Even though I wanted wine so badly, I ordered sparkling water. I didn't eat an appetizer or dessert, just half my entree. It was so hard but every time that I restrain myself in situations like that, it strengthens me to do better next time.

This morning I weighed in at 154.9! Almost a 10lb loss! I'm excited to pass 153 cos that was the lightest I got last time I tried losing weight back in July. :)
 
It happens! Could just be one of those fluctuations that make us freak out and wonder what we did to gain weight. Keep at it and see where it sits tomorrow.
 
Nim, I apologize for not responding earlier. I’m just getting caught up with everything now.

I’m not sure if the Dominican offers regular whale watching tours or not. The trip I’m going is actually on the breeding grounds (Silver Bank). It’s an overnight boat trip to get there and then the boat is anchored for the week. We live on that boat the whole time. They take us out on little tenders twice daily to do the whale watching and snorkeling and then it’s back to the “mother ship”. Can’t wait!!

Glad you were able to treat yourself to some new clothes! Also happy to hear you and your hubby had a nice dinner. :)
 
Mandy, that sounds so incredible! I'd love to do that someday...although I don't know how my hubby would do on a boat for a week. He doesn't really have sea legs. :/ I guess I can check out to see if there's day trips for whale watching once we get there. If we do get to go, would the chances of us seeing whales in January be good, do you think? Or would the whales not have arrived yet?

Down a total of 2.9 inches all over my body in five weeks. :hurray: Decided to add hips today. Totally didn't think about measuring them for the last five weeks for some reason!
 
Congrats on the weight loss! And the inches, that is awesome!

I probably went way overboard with everything I measured (don't think I've posted it on my diary but thinking I will this weekend and measure monthly), but I think you got the main ones. If you have a belly you are trying to lose I would add that measurement too. That and my back fat are the main things I want to lose.
 
Thanks Icychic! Yesterday was a good day. :) I forgot to add that I also came out of the "overweight" range with my BMI yesterday too! Back in the "normal" range now! :)

Yes good point! I really do have a belly I'm trying to get rid of so I should add that too. And back fat!! I hate my back rolls!! My side boobs are almost all gone as of last week so I'm excited about that. :) You prob see a huge difference when you measure monthly. I weigh in once a week with a couple of people and we send each other our stats so that's why I measure once a week. Have you taken before photos? I took a few at 159lbs so I'm gonna wait until I get to 149 to take more. I've never gotten to the in-between photos on a diet before. I think this time I'll make it! :)
 
Hang on a minute!! I just weighed myself again, just for the heck of it, and it came up as 153.8!!!! I weighed myself 8 times and it came up with the same number 8 times! The scales must have malfunctioned earlier. Yay! I'm happy now! :)
 
Thanks icychic! 153.6 this morn! Leaving to go home to Ireland today so I'm not sure if I'll be weighing in while I'm there. I'm going to try my best not to gain anything but the food is soooo gooood! Hope y'all have a good weekend!

Hey everyone! Im so sorrry I havent checked in in ages. Mandy, 5thank you so much for think8ng of me and dropping the me a line. It was nice logging in for the first time in weeks and see that id been missed a little bit. Thank you!

Its been so hectic since we got back from Ireland. Im not going to bore you with all the details, but I'll say Ireland then guests then more guests then craziness. So all in all, its been bad food wise and I haven't worked out once. Ive gained 6 lbs. 159 this morning. Too depressed to do measurements. So thats it. Im done with fat. I fell off the waggon but im totally getting back on it today. Here's to stating again!!! I said when I started this thing that I am never giving up this time. I plan to stick to that promise. I have given up too many times in the past. Im done giving up. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragment. I'll check in tonight to let you know how I did today. X
 
Good for you not giving up! Sorry to hear about the weight gain but sounds like a pretty busy time you've been having! Hope today goes well, you'll lose those 6lbs again in no time :)
