EEEEEEEEEEEKKKK!SPIDER!!! *pant, pant, okay, calm down, just a pic* :D hehehehe Its true. I hate creepy crawlies. HOWEVER, I love snakes and I am lizard freak  Yup.

Great job on riding your bike to work :D Thats awesome :D You did good at dinner too :D Hey, you didn't eat the whole thing AND you had tea and water! Proud of ya :D I, too, have a mad auntie but she lives too far away :( Shes my favorite auntie!
Have a wonderful day, Crunchie :D

Well done on riding your bike to work thats great!!Don't worry about the mango, there are lot worse things to snack on and if your hungry it is better to eat more of something healthy, than only eat your usual breakfast then eating something bad later on. I hope you are having a great day!!

Breakfast: none
Lunch: tin tomato soup
Tea: low fat chicken and veg curry with brown rice
Snacks: banana
Supper: apple
Exercise: 1hr swim session (64 lengths), 30min weight training at gym
Fizzy juice: none
Water: 5 glasses 3 x 500ml bottle
Fruit and veg portions: 5

Well another 1/2lb lighter on the scales today despite my late night tea last night.

I unfortunately ran out without breakfast today as I slept in. Thankfully I was only working a 5hr shift at work so I made up for lost breakfast in my early tea break (11.30am) and had a big tin of tomato soup.

For tea (an early one tonight - thank God) I had chicken and veg curry with brown rice. I bought some fresh peas and added them to the curry this time, usually I just use cauliflower, mushrooms and carrots.

Later I intend to go to the gym to do a bit of weight trainning (have heard I should keep my weight trainning and cardio exercised totally seperate) and then do a bit of swimming after that.

I doubt I'll be back on the forum tonight as I'm really tired, think I'll just crawl into bed as soon as I come home from the swimming.

Tarantulas are much nicer than house spiders as they often look very nice and are nice and fluffy

I think they're beautiful. I like spiders better than other "bugs". But I think tarantulas are beautiful. There are some "bugs" I really don't like, but I'm sure they have redeeming qualities. We just tend to anthropomorphize animals so much & impose "personalities" on them that may not be justified. I'm guilty of that with roaches and flies. But I try to never hurt spiders. I do, however, evict them from the bedroom & bathroom since I have annoying reactions to bites & stings in general - but I put them under the big tree in my front yard for instant relocation.

Congratulations on your 10 lb. success. It's a direct result of your dedication. Keep up the good work!

Doing AWESOME on exercise and food! Way to go! And ANOTHER half pound gone!!! I'm getting jealous, looks like you'll be passing me soon!!! ;)

All your hard work is paying off!

Did not realize feeding live mice to snakes was illegal in UK. That's pretty interesting. What do you feed your spiders, btw?

Thanks for the messanges everyone, I'm just home from the baths and gym.

NTL: I'm sure now there is actually a small loophole in the "no live vertebrate prey" law. I think if it can be proved that the snake will not take frozen you can try them on live but have to work at getting them back on frozen, you need a note from a vet to do that too.
In any case I've seen the damage done to some snakes by mice and rats that were left in the cage unsupervised. Much safer with a defrosted one that I can wiggle about a bit heh (why am I talking about this in a food diary). The tarantulas get domestic house crickets.

Anyway I realised at the gym today that my exercise routine for the end of this week was maybe slightly heavy...

Wednesday: Gym & Swim
Thursday: Gym & 10mile cycle
Fridat: Gym, Swim & 10 mile cycle

Not that I think I couldn't do it but my mum was asking for a lift near to where I work tomorrow so I've just decided to take the car on the Thursday. Friday will be a good day of exercise and I think I'll have a day of rest on Saturday.

I am really pleased about the weight I've lost so far, I've decided that once I reach my halfway point I'm going to treat myself to having my hair shapoo'd, cut and highlights put in. When I get to my final goal I'm going to buy loads of new clothes (going to need them anyway).

I have also decided to help myself along a bit by taking off 2 pounds for every pound I loose. This 2 pound will be out my wallet though and will go to one of my favourite charities and I think that'll be the UK shark trust. So with 11 pounds lost so far that's £22 (about $38 I think) for the trust. All I need to do is look at a shark book when I've got the munchies and think about all the sharks I'd help out if I don't eat anything. :D

big heart

Crunchie, you have such a big heart! Good idea giving back.

Hey, about those highlights, make sure and talk to your stylist about how much you swim. If you are going to get yourself highlights as a treat, you want to make sure they are something that can stand the pool chemicals. Just a thought. :)

That's a fantastic thing you are doing. And with how well you are doing your charity will be benefitting greatly!

Crunchie, I'm so proud of you! THat is a wonderful thing you're doing! :D :D You are doing such a great job that you are already saving a bunch of sharks! :D MWRAH! (shark kiss :D hehehehe)

Crunchie, Awesome idea about giving to charity! And great idea to treat yourself to getting your hair done...so much better than a food treat! Your exercise schedule is inspiring...I wish I had the time!!! I also wish i could ride my bike to work, but I travel between childrens homes with a bag full of toys and a large therapy ball...be a little difficult on a bike :p! besides the fact that it is over 37 miles 2 mornings a week. I sure would get skinny fast....and it sure would take me all day to work instead of 4 hours!!!!
Keep up the good work....it encourages me to keep my butt moving too! BTW liked the pixs of your spidies!!!!

Well I'm just back from the gym today but as my mum has said she needs a lift to somewhere near my work it looks like I won't get to cycle there today (will do so tommorow).

Anyway at the gym I did 300cal on the cardio machines and to be honest I'm a bit knackered now. Will have a good sleep tonight to be ready for my huge day of exercise tommorrow.

Not weighing myself til Sunday again! I really must control this obession with the scales!

I hope I can raise a bit of money for the shark trust, I've loved sharks all my life and went swimming with sand tigers for my 18th which was great.

I got pictures of another little snake I'm picking up in July today, he's a little Hog Island boa constrictor and is a bit sweet.

I really like your idea of putting money for each pound you lose towards something - whether it's charity, something for yourself or whatever. Great idea! And you're doing a great job too!

Great motivation Crunchie, it's good to have some altruism in your plan, it helps you keep an eye on the overall picture without getting wrapped up in one minute detail of life. You're doing really well, and the sharks will LOVE you for it! Take care!

Breakfast: fruit and cereal bar
Lunch: half tin of tomato soup
Tea: low fat veg curry with quorn dippers
Snacks: banana, Go ahead apple bake
Supper: cup a soup
Exercise: gym session (300cals)
Fizzy juice: none
Water: 5 x 500ml bottle
Fruit and veg portions: 4

Today's erring on the gash side of average. Must do better on fruit and veg portions but limited my supper to a banana and a cup a soup.

Managed 300 cals at the gym as my legs were a bit knackered after swimming and weight training last night. Hopefully they'll be OK to cycle to work tomorrow and then do both a gym and swim at night (need to watch my calories don't go into negative figures).

I plan on making another pasta sauce speciality of mine tomorrow so will have that for lunch before setting out and will perhaps get some grilled chicken for tea.

I promise to spend more time replying to diaries tommorrow, I've been knackered all day today! I want to sleep for the whole of Saturday!:(

Right this is my plan for today! As I'm doing a huge amount of exercise (well to me I am) I'm splashing out and having a relatively big lunch before I head to work on my bike. think my plan comes to around 1550 cals and before anyone wonders about the amount I've put for the pasta let me explain.

The pasta itself is about 400cal but I'm not sure about my sauce. The quorn mince is full of protein and I figured I needed a few carbs to carry me through my day of exercise. I reckon the sauce might be about 300 maybe and I dread to think how much goats cheese is (though I did only have a sprinkle). I have put 900cals as a sort of worse case senario. In any case I've stayed well within the 2000 cals recommended for women and given I'll probably burn off close to 900cals in my exercise I'm not too worried about today.

Breakfast: fruit and cereal bar (60)
Lunch: wholemeal spaghetti with vegetarian bolognaise and goats cheese (900)
Tea: ½ grilled chicken breast in wholemeal pita bread with salad (350)
Snacks: banana(80), fruit juice(50)
Supper: apple(50)
Exercise: gym session (300cals), swim session (64 lengths), 10 mile cycle
Fizzy juice: 1 can of Irn Bru32 (47cal)
Water: 5 x 500ml bottle
Fruit and veg portions: 5
