Day one mission accomplished!
72 oz of water
20 mins on the bike
45 mins on the walk
2 hours of sanding and painting (and yes, I'm counting it as exercise!)

Tomorrow is the big weigh in. Wish me luck.
 
Hey, Ya'll. Thanks for checking in. I did great on my goal over the weekend except for Sunday as it rained all day and I did not get my walk in. Other than that I did good. I've been so busy. I'm guzzling water now to catch up today. Work is nuts. I don't even know what time of day it is half the time.

I'm hoping to lose more than 1lb this week, but getting prepared for it never-the-less. A loss is a loss. As long as I don't go up every week I can stay motivated.

Has anyone ever read the book called "The 10 Commandments of Thin"? Someone suggested I read it. I don't really go for all that psycho babble stuff. I kind of have the "just get off your a$$ and don't eat so much" attitude when it comes to that stuff...although I know that long standing behaviors are very hard to break. Anyway...if anyone has read it and gotten anything out of it, let me know.

i think i'm over self help books these days.. the only person they really help is the author.. :D

haaaaa, i agree Mal, i am so sick of the self help books i could hurl......... blah blah blah, inner crap blah blah blah just do it, if only i had spent alla the time i wasted reading thoes books exercising instead.:eek: ..........hummmm yes i might look very diffrent today!!!!;)
 
Yeah after i read up on the internet and i thought id grab a book or two, i got to the book store and was confronted with shelves full of absolute garbage fad diet crap. So much so I didnt even pick up a single book, i just went off and bought a romance :)
 
The only two weight loss, weight maintenance books I've read that really helped me were Passing for Thin, and Thin for Life. Other than that no thanks
on the other self help books.

Popping by to get caught up since I've been MIA for almost a week. Great job with sticking to your weekend goals. As for the rain interupting your walk it has done that to me as well. It's rainned here daily since Saturday. UGH! Keeping fingers crossed for you to have a succeesful weigh in! Keep up the great work!
