Mrs Bear's Diary

Your job is definitely a tough one, missus. I'll bet you've burnt a lot of kcals there. According to my phone (Gay Erik) you burn over 600 kcals while walking. That's probably light walking, so you'll have burnt off loads more than that!

Wasn't your previous DA at 2000 kcals a day? If so, then 2100 isn't earth-shatteringly terrible, and the food you've had hasn't been unhealthy. I think it's been another good day :)

By the way, I meant to mention this earlier, but "weight for it"... hilarious :D

Bronsk

Hey Bronsk, is that 'gay erik' of the Cartman variety? :D

You guys are right, I have burnt a lot of cals today, and the food I have had was healthy. I almost didn't have the nuts and seeds because it was about 260 cals alone (30g seeds was 160cals, 15g brazil nuts was 100cals), but it fills me up more with the seeds and they are so good for me. I haven't been eating them lately, because I couldn't be bothered to go to the supermarket, and I have been feeling tired and headachy. Funnily enough, after a busy work day today I actually feel a lot better. Might be the nuts and seeds .... you never, never know ;) . I just think, if I hadn't had those fruit crisps, I would have been 200 cals less and a lot happier, but again, we shall see what the scales say tomorrow, as to whether i need to be more restrictive.

PS - I think I am wearing my keyboard out ... the space bar has started to squeak ( or was that the mouse? :D )

PPS - just had two more peaches .... they have fibre and fruit acid which I really need at the moment. My IBS is being a real pain in the ... well, you get my meaning ;)

You guys are like a comedy troupe :)

Nuts do a body good and maybe make a person a little nutty :) or funny -- or something like that :)

Cheers Mal, we're here till Thursday ... try the veal ..... (sorry, that was a Shrek quote) ;)

It is true what you are saying Mal, and according to Gillian McKeith (not that I put much stock in what she spouts) if you are eating lots of fruit and veg, and nuts and seeds, and avocados and other healthy fats, you will not put on weight .... something to do with the fatty acids I think.

Heya Mrs Bear darling! :D

I have IBS too and one thing that is positively good however mortifying is colon cleansing.. Ask your doctor about it. -Especially if you have constipation.-
I haven't been doing it as often as recommended but I will when I am able to see my knees again.. (Meant to do it 2 times a month)

~~
Also, have you ever checked your food allergies? I'm allergic to a gazillion things and wheat and yeast contribute to bloated stomach..

Sday~ :)

Warning .... Warning ..... graphic discussion of internal workings follow ..... please skip if you'd rather not know ......

Hey Sday (oh that rhymes :D ). I have cut out a lot of things that I have found upset me. I never, never, never have wheat or gluten because they make me feel like I have a brick in my stomach .... bloat-arama!! I avoid dairy, too much onion, processed foods, too much meat (I rarely eat meat) and try not to have sugar either. And I don't think I ever have anything with yeast in it.

It is strange actually, the more fibre I have the worse my constipation is ... I just don't understand. When you say colon cleansing, do you mean like colonic irrigation (or I think they call it colonic hydrotherapy now). I have considered it but I am a bit uneasy about it so i keep putting it off  . My condition used to be very different. I used to have to eat very plain, and if I had any fruit, it would go straight through me. My insides seemed very sensitive and I told a friend at work who suffers badly with constipation, that I would rather have my problem than hers anyday. Now that I have her problem, which seems to have come about since I came off the pill, I know that I was right. Even though I go regularly, it is just very reluctant and laboured. And I get a lot more stomach cramping than I used to.

Thanks for dropping by Sday, it is nice to talk to someone in the same boat as me.....:)

Mrs B, he could be Gay Erik of the Cartman variety, he is quite chubby. He's also pink, hence... the name, I guess... I'm a bit male obsessed, nothing I own is female. My phone's male, my car's male, my laptop's male, my skipping rope's male... my 'rope's name is George, formally known as Charlie :)

Does sound like the nuts and seeds do you a lot of good! They are good for filling up, so if they make you feel satisfied, then it balances out. So everyone's a winner! With the humzingers (luuuuuuuurve humzingers!) it'll be better for you than bog standard crispies, much less fat and salt. Know how you feel though, if I'd not had those chocolates, I'd be at 1054 today. I guess so long as you enjoyed them, then you have little to regret.

*hugs*

Hey, your posting on mine, while I'm posting on yours :D I really should set myself up with instant messaging ;)

I didn't realise 'Gay Erik' was the name of the phone ... i thought it was your wallpaper or something  . My hubby would moan and say that us women are obsessed with gay men (he thinks we want to turn them straight, LOL!! :D ), but that name makes perfect sense. Your phone is male, but it is also pink ..... what else could you call it :D

PS - with all that walking that you have done today, I'm glad you had those choccies .... 1054 seems a bit low to me .....

Till tomorrow (or in 2 minutes time if you've posted on yours again :D )

Toodles mucker ;)

Hello again (til 2 minutes time!)

That's exactly the issue with Erik! He was a boy phone, and I couldn't make him be anything else. At the time, I was also a bit obessed with the name Erik (I'd read the Phantom of the Opera, the book that inspired the musical. The name of the Phantom is Erik, though that's never brought up.) I have 3 things called Erik in my life; my phone (who is Gay Erik), an evil Phantom of the Opera teddy-bear from an animation and a depressed character who gets a dog... that gets run over.

Dammit I talk too much!

I know it seems like 1054 kcals is a bit low, but I was putting weight despite the fact I was eating less than 2000 a day. My body doesn't like me very much, and only lets me keep a constant weight at 1500, which is apparently dieting intake.

Oo! Instant messaging is great, but I just don't go on anymore because I'd be spending hours on there!

Heehee, will go and see your postying over in my blog.

Bye for now!

Bronsk

Gosh, yes, I think Instant Messaging would probably be a serious mistake, as I would be doing so much gabbing, I'd get no sleep, get nothing done around the house, and probably forget to eat all together (perhaps not such a bad idea ..... ;) )

I really feel for you having to cut your calories so low (big, bear (((hugs))) for Bronsk), it makes it that much harder to lose weight. But you are succeeding which just goes to show how much hard work you have been doing. Keep it up, duckie, and I will see you tomorrow... I know you will have done us all proud :)

*nervous laugh* yes... tomorrow... I'm just hoping that I've stayed the same, and if I've put on anything, it's only been 100g or something nice and little.

Thank you for the big bear hugs *sqeeeeeeeeeezes back!* Means a lot, hun!

Dude, I used to be up til gone 2 AM on MSN. Thing is, once you say goodbye to one person to log off, someone else starts talking. And if you're trying to log off and several people are talking at once, it takes another half an hour before you've finished saying "goodbyes" :p It's a great way to keep in touch with people you don't always see though.

Good luck for tomorrow, you've done really well this week, I'm sure you'll have dropped. If not, hit the scales with a hammer until they agree with a weight you want, say... 154 lb :D

*hugs*

Hey, Mrs Bear! Thanks so much for the encouraging words you posted to my diary today! It came at a great time because I was thinking of raiding the vending machines at work for more sugar, and your words of support stopped that thinking. Thank you SOOOO much! You're the best!!!! :D Hope you're having a terrific day!

Hey MrsBear, good to see you're still doing well! I just popped in to wish you a lovely weekend as it's now FRIDAY! If you can imagine this, I'll be dancing around the library singing that song that was on the old Crunchie adverts!

THAT FRIIIIIIIDAY FEELING!

Thanks Darcy and Crunchie! It is great that its Friday ...... except that I have to work tomorrow morning :p And its even worse because I worked my day off that I usually get in the week. Ah, well, its all calories burned, I suppose

Okay, I have had porridge for breakfast, then a packet of medjool dates and a punnet of strawberries ..... in need of fibre still I'm afraid :( . 1000 calories so far which is good, but I'm off to Waitrose in a minute, and I shall have to resist temptation. Also I am going to try my best not to have sugar when I'm preparing food for tomorrow, so I can reach my goal of 5 days sugar and binge free. Wish me luck ......

I shalln't be around much today as I have a lot to do and want an early night, but I might pop back to look at all the diaries later, if I get all my chores done in time (I feel like Cinderella ;) )

Toodles peeps!!

I absolutely love Waitrose. When I was on vacation in England last month the first place we went when we left the airport was to Waitrose so I could stock up on healthy foods for the week. The produce section is beautiful!!!!

I had shopped in Sainsbury's and Tesco a few years ago, but from what I remember I think Waitrose is much nicer.

Hope you have a great weekend Mrs Bear even though you have to work. Yuk!!!!

Working on a weekend is never fun - I totally agree. But I must admit that I'm jealous because your job is such that you exercise while you're working. I wish I had a job like that.

Hey Mrs B, how goes it?

How did the FSD go? I get a bit lost without tickers  Hope it went OK, if not, *big sqee!*

Hope the weather's been OK for your work. Still a tad muggy, but much cooler overall. It keeps trying to thunder, but unsucessfully.

Scarlett, Waitrose is definitely the nicer of the main supermarket chains in England, and definitely nicer than Sainsburys and Tesco. Their own brand gaff comes in that eerie packaging with blue and white stripes that's the same packaging for the orange juice and the cat litter. Waitrose, however, has a brilliant own-brand range. I like shopping there :D

Hope you have a great day Mrs B!

Bronsk

Just stopping in to say Hi Mrs B! The last I saw your signature, it said 4 binge & sugar free days!! That is teriffic!!

Hello everyone, and thanks for stopping by. Sorry, I don't always put my signature up as it is so long and i don't want to take up pages and pages :D

Scarlett, the produce aisle IS great. Today I have had two peaches and some raspberries from Waitrose, and they are sooooo much nicer than from anywhere else. You pay more but its worth it ;)

Val, yes I am very lucky to do my job. My mum says that when she is under pressure and working a lot of hours she ends up eating all the wrong things, and as she is sat at a desk a lot, she puts weight on. I on the other hand get more exercise if I do overtime. However, I used to do a lot of comfort eating when I got home from work tired, which undid all that good work. Not this week though ;)

Hey Bronsk, I lost 2 lbs!!! And the weather was okay today. A bit of drizzle to begin with but it got warm and sunny later on. I hope you had a good day too. Oh, and you will be safe from 'not quite so Evil' Erik!! Just see below. You made it happen, lady ;)

Hey M2M, you will notice that I am now at 5 days binge and sugar free. Yay!!!!! I made potato gratin, easy key lime pie, pork and apple patties and waldorf salad today, as I am having my family over tomorrow, and I didn't taste any of it. I was so tempted to lick the spoon with the sweet limey cream on it, but I shoved a few grapes in my mouth instead :D It really worked and satisfied my want of something sweet ;) Now I can enjoy the food tomorrow, and possibly have a couple of cocktails, knowing that I didn't eat the food at an inappropriate time. I think I may actually be changing my behaviour and thats really exciting. :D :D

Toodles peeps!

I've said this before, and I'll say it again...

YAY!!! YOU ROCK HARD SOCKS!!

Actually, I haven't said it that way before, but it still means the same. Well done on your weight loss, you've done so well! And 5 days binge free, that's amazing! It is exciting seeing behaviour (spelling...?) change, and it's so exciting seeing the "ticker" change from day to day. ENJOY the pie today, and enjoy the cocktails, you so deserve it, missus!

Have a fan-dabby-dosey day, enjoy every second!

*big hugs*
