Mrs Bear's Diary

Thanks Bronsk .... you always make me :D Only a quick dip in to say thanks to everyone for all the support. I've had a busy work day today, and I'm getting everything ready for tonight, but I will definitely get to the diaries tomorrow .... I want to catch up with whats going on with everyone :)

Till tomorrow peeps!!

Have a great night tonight, hun! As before, relax, enjoy yourself, and stay cool

*hugs*

Bronsk

Thanks guys. The do is over now, and I have decided to go on the internet now, as my tummy still feels a bit full, and I want to wait before I go to bed.

I'm not going to write about whether I did good or bad today, because I did what I knew I would do, I ate some nice food, had a few drinks, then ate seconds and was probably a bit fuller than I should have been.

But its all about tomorrow now, getting back on the wagon and feeling positive.

I hope I can do a bike ride tomorrow, as I am well below my weekly average that I need to do to be on course for my goal. I will just have to step it up when it cools down a bit more. Also there is more overtime on offer next week, and I just can't say no, especially as it is not always available. This week was tough, and today, I was racing around, got really sweaty, then ended up getting a chill on my back, and now it is a bit sore. I am sure after a good nights sleep tonight it will be better though. Its the muscle rather than a nerve that hurts, which should get better quickly.

Well, I am slowly making my way through my subscribed threads, I hate not having time to come on here ..... I feel like I'm missing out on all the news!!;)

Toodles peeps!

*great big massive hugs* Bear, I love your attitude towards the day; no disappointment, no dwelling... just starting over, positively! Honestly, you are fantastic; totally inspiring! And I really wish I could give you a proper hug and a proper grin :D (my face isn't really green... it's purple actually!)

And I know you'll do well tomorrow, because you do work so hard. You did brilliantly last week, and stayed strong and positive all the way. I have every faith that you'll beat your current record.

The only niggle I have is that those faces are sad... that makes me a sad panda.

Even if you don't get out for a bike ride tomorrow, your overtime will be hard enough work. I mean today, to break you into a sweat obviously means you're working out, and being paid for it :p Go you! I say get in as much overtime as you feel you can manage; mentally, we need a break sometime

*hugs again* I'm so proud of you, babe! Just keep going; you really is a *star!*

Bronsk

:D :D :D There, that should cancel out the two frowny faces!! :)

It is strange how much I sweat now. They say that if you don't exercise, the body forgets how to sweat, but when you do exercise, the longer you have been exercising, the more you sweat. I have found this over the past few months, that I have been getting a sweatier person, as I have been getting fitter. I was literally soaked today, wringing, but I didn't feel like I was working any harder than I have in the past. I think that is one of the reasons that the fitter you are, the better it feels to exercise, because you don't feel overly hot, because your bodies cooling system is working at optimum efficiency.

It was weird today. I know I broke the FSD code, but I weighed this morning, just to check really that I had actually lost 2lbs last week (I was shocked!!). So I was at 12st 7lbs first thing. I opened a 1.5 litre bottle of water with my breakfast and had some, then chucked the rest in the car. I had nearly a litre while at the office from the water cooler (I felt really blah this morning .... only 4 hours sleep left me feeling tired, and dehydrated for some reason). Then I had the rest of the 1.5 litre bottle while on delivery. Then, just for kicks, when I got home I decided to weigh myself, just to see how dehydrated I was (I still felt pretty blah) and I was 12st 6lbs!!! I still managed to lose a pound of water weight through dehydration, despite having drunk 2.5 litres of water!! It just goes to show how important water is. You will be glad to hear that I have nearly finishes another 1.5 litres of water, and I feel much better now.

Sorry about the water waffle, I'm afraid I do end up rambling a lot on my diary just to get my own thoughts straight in my head and to keep me focused. Feel free to skim where relevant :D

Cheers for all the support, and I hope that you will be signing off your next post as a happy panda ;) (sings 'Don't cry for me Bronski Be-eat ....') :D

Mrs. Bear--your attitude is perfect. We don't always make the best choices, but if we can make good ones we can have our fun and then move on.

I agree with cannon, at some point we all slip up and if we didn't then none of us would be human. You've done great to get back on track so quickly and I look forward to seeing you in the group challenge!:p

How is Buster by the way? I had to buy my corn snake a new toy to make up for slamming his tail in the door of his viv, felt really bad about that. Getting a crested gecko sometime soon too, never kept lizards with legs before!:D

Thanks guys!!

Buster is fine, thank you for asking Crunchie! I have just put him out for a run and he is feeling a lot more energetic. He had not pooed for a couple of days, and as he is normally so regular, and after the scare we had at the beginning of the year, we were a bit worried, especially as he was a bit lethargic too. Then on Friday, we let him out and I was sat at the computer and suddenly thought 'sniff ... sniff ... whats that smell'. He had done it right by my foot and it was about 3 days worth. Yuuuuckkk!! But we were sooooo pleased. I do worry about him.

Wow, your adding to your already extensive collection of unusual pets!! You wait until you see you lizard run, they are sooooo cute!! A lot of people think that lizards, etc are boring and some think they are yuck, but I think they are lovely and have so much character. Just as good as a cat or dog ;)

Today is going fine so far except I have a bit of a headache. I was thinking it may have been the three drinks and the sugar I had yesterday, but to be honest I haven't been feeling great for a few days. I think that I have been doing too much overtime lately, and especially in this heat!!

Okay, time for a confession. I was going to have fruit juice with my breakfast today, as I had pineapple juice and mango juice in for making the cocktails last night. I did a third of a glass of each and put some soda water in. I had a couple of slurps and was just looking at the bottle when I saw ... gasp .... it had sugar in it!!!! I thought it was pure mango juice but it was a mango juice drink!!! I was surprised because mangoes are so sweet, why did it need sugar?? I tipped the rest of the glass away, and I am not going to class it as a day with sugar, as it was a complete accident and in the two swigs that I had I wouldn't have had much. The ingredients were water, mango puree and then sugar, and it only made up a third of the actual drink I mixed. You can tell by my struggle to justify it that I feel guilty about having it and not classing it as a day with sugar, but I don't want a little mistake to de-motivate me.

I feel too tired to do a bike ride today, and I am a bit concerned that my weekly average is slipping away from me, but I have decided that my fitness level is staying up because I am trotting around my delivery, and when the overtime dries up, I should be able to up my weekly mileage. In a couple of weeks I will probably count the weeks, divide into the mileage and come up with a new weekly mileage ;)

I hope everyone else is having a good weekend!

Toodles peeps!!

Edit: Gosh that was a long post ... sorry for rambling

Quick update ... I'm having a lazy day today so definitely no cycling. I have had porridge and peaches, then a great big smoothie which brings me to 1300 cals, plus about 360 cals for some rice and soup for tea brings me just under 1700 for the day. And if I stick to this I can change my signature back to 1 day and have a couple of smiley faces :)

oh that sucks that the juice had sugar in it... I guess it's a good lesson in label reading... :)

Keep going forward lady, you're doing great... :)

Aw I'm sorry about the juice, hun. I'm glad you're not counting it as a day with sugar; like you said, it was an accident, you didn't do it out of any sugar craving or binge... Don't worry about it :)

And the smilies do counteract the sad faces of yesterday! Looking forward to seeing some :):):) later on!

And again, don't worry about weighing yourself twice (don't worry, I won't mention this in the FSD ;) ) that is pretty crazy how dehydrated you were! May have to step into a sauna before an FSD :D Glad you're feeling better though *hugs*

Keep going dude, up up up the ziggaral, lickety split :D

Bronsk aka The Happy Panda :p

Ah-ha .... a fellow Red Dwarf fan :D

Mal, I can't believe I didn't read the label, I am normally so good what with my wheat intolerance and all. I just assumed that it was the pure juice. Never mind, I have learned my lesson.

Bronsk, I owned up to the FSD about weighing .... the guilt would have gotten to me otherwise!! And I am glad to see that you are a happy panda today. Oh, and get to your diary, lady!! I want to know whats going on with you today ;)

Toodles peeps

*yes miss, sorry miss, have done my diary miss* :p

Ahaha, I love Red Dwarf! Can't beat Claire Grogan as Kockanski; I hated Chole Annet. Cat and Kryten have held my spoon, and I met Lister and Rimmer about a year ago.

I saw you owned up in the FSD. Ah well, it's good for the soul to confess I suppose. At least now no more weighing until Friday, missus ;) Or else Erik'll be after you!

Bronsk the Happy Panda (see sig) and Erik (see avi) :D

Oh MrsB! You don't need to justify it! We completely understand it was an accident! That completely sucks that it had sugar in it. Those darn companies trying to sabotage all our well laid plans! ;) And don't worry about rambling. I don't want to be the only one! ;) :p

Not only are you a happy panda, but you are a purple panda too!!! :D

I can't believe you have met the Red Dwarf gang ..... that is so cool  Were they all dressed up as their characters, or just as is?

Thanks for the support Hypo, I new you guys would understand. Who puts sugar in fruit juice ?!? :D

Ah, well I am finally up together with all the diaries after a couple of days off, and it is great to here how well everyone is doing. Keep up the hard work fellas ;)

Toodles peeps

Who puts sugar in fruit juice ?!?

Too many companies do unfortunately... lately i've been paying attention to High Fructose Corn Syrup and avoiding it, it was very difficult finding a loaf of wheat bread that didn't have it as a primary ingredient... grocery shopping sure takes longer now :)

That is a major problem, there are so many words they use that just mean sugar - fructose, glucose, lactose, corn syrup, and I think maltodextrin aswell. You have got to be so careful!

Edit: Splurged a bit this evening but didn't binge. I had some bbq chicken (but I took all the skin off), some Waldorf salad, a tiny spoon of potato gratin, and some tomato. Then I had 3 wheat free savoury biscuits with a scraping of marg and one mini babybel split between the three. I think that upped my calories a lot, but I didn't have the rice and soup I was planning. I think today may have been a maintenance day - dang I find weekends hard. But at least I can change my signature and now I am off upstairs to brush my teeth ;)

Yes the Red Dwarfers were amazing! When we met Danny John Jules for the first time (without spoon) he flattered Top Cat by telling him how snazzy he looked!! Hahaha, Top Cat was only wearing a red polo neck jumper! That was so funny that day, Craig Charles and Danny John Jules were sat next to each other, and both had written signs saying "Ask Danny" or "Ask Craig", and whenever someone asked "When's the Red Dwarf movie coming out?" they would point to their respective signs :D But no, they weren't in costume. It would have been a long day for Robert Llwellyn if he did!!

And don't worry about the Splurge, like you said, it's not like you went on a sugar binge. Infact, I think it makes up a perfectly balanced meal, just call it supper :)

Even though nasty companies have played tricks on you, you've had another good day. I'm so glad you're able to change your signature :):) That makes me a happy purple panda!

Have a great monday!

Bronsk

Hey There Mrs. B :)
I agree with you, weekends are hard! I normally like my morning calories to be in the 200 range - after fixing breakfast for the family, I was up to 420 by 9:00 am ;) Now if I just didn't have to LIVE with these people, life would be so much easier!

Have a good night!
