MoonGoddess's Path

I am so sick of candy corn right now it's not even funny -I've discovered that avoidance isn't a good thing but indulge and well -eventually you get tired of it.. :)

Well we got several different types so I'm afraid of the calories I would take in if I indulged like I want to. I will treat myself to something tonight for dessert....IF I work out! :) Gotta dangle the carrot in front of myself today. Just don't want to get moving...

lol... I hope I don't sweat THAT much! I can think of other ways to work up a sweat I would prefer.... :)

I just don't even have the desire to work out anymore. I know I should & I will, but it just is a chore. When does it all become a habit with that desire to achieve the runner's high (not that I run, maybe that's the problem). Dunno. I just wonder if it will ever be like clockwork.. Like no one likes to do laundry or dishes but you just do it & don't really think about it.. you have to. I don't have that HAVE TO feeling, since no matter what - you gotta go do it all again tomorrow or the next day or whatever. I'm an immediate gratification gal. I know I'm not alone.

Howdy moon,
Yay for rain it has been popping up everywhere now ,we were declared a sever drout until last week when we got hit woth sever storms then rain for like 3 days,we went all summer and not a 1 thunderstorm or storm period the plants looked horrible this year, they were talking pumpkins will be hard to find or exspencive if you do.
I miss candy corn I bet they can't be too bad but then again I dunno,I plan to have 1 or 2 tops mini candy bars for halloween and thats it not going to mess up my progress(I am stealing reesse cups out of the kids bags :rotflmao:
Well keep up the hard work your ticker is ticking down!Tammy

lol.. funny you mention the pumpkins being bad. We carved two on Sunday night & I am going to have to toss them out when I get home. I noticed that as I was leaving this morning they both are collapsing & have a gross black fungus growing on them...uck. I have to think it has something to do with the high temps & bad growing season. Oh well.. the boy had the right answer when I told him about them in a mopy voice....He replied "Well I will pick up two more on Saturday & we can keep carving til Halloween if we have to!" I mean really whats Halloween with out a spooky jack-o-lantern to light?

Awe, it sounds like you're a little burned out. Maybe try find something new to do - something fun that's not a chore, but still exercise? I don't know what all you've tried - but I do know that walking the dog is fun for me when I get out and do it! I also like to swim, but now with the fall weather it's not possible, unless I join the Y (and my best peepo Bell hasn't figured out how to get me in there for free yet! LOL JK!!)

I get less enthused about exercise when the weather changes. :sigh:

AAAAA-MEN :) oooh Isaid men :D

I'm an immediate gratification gal. I know I'm not alone.
You know you aren't - generally commisseration just aggravates me - and that's not my intent -but I so totally understand the need for instant gratification... and Iwish there was a solution for it... but i think it's looking for the small victories and celebrating those (I hate it when I sound all girlie :D

Oh I wish there was a magic words for this - I think part of the problem might be you're not finding something you love to do -and until that time comes, it will seem like a chore that's an effort to do... Exercise - in my twisted little mind should equal some activity that gets you moving - and as log as you are moving -it shouldn't matter what it is... So find that movement... Horesback Riding? Bicycling? nature walks? Hula Hooping (yes, I'm serious - the crunchy yoga company has a dance hoop that is serioously a hula hoop) find soething fun to do that you look forward to

hmm, hula hooping ... interesting. I did try belly dancing a while back.

I hate walking the dog. He gets in uber protective mode & goes bonkers when we see men or other dogs. Since he's a pound pup who's part Pitt & part Boxer, we get some nasty looks when he goes off & he can be a handful & a half when he gets focused. I know the dog whisperer would say its all in my attitude, but frankly I have anxiety issues I'm dealing with so dealing with the dog too doesn't do much go for me. We play in my lil fenced in back yard which is small enough for him to run around like a fool in but not really big enough for much else other than a few herbs I grow. & he loves to pop bubbles & will not stop unless I make him. So he gets his exercise in but not me.

I used to like walking on the beach, even ended up jogging a bit, but lately every time I am in a public area I have an anxiety attack & end up having to leave so I just avoid anything I don't HAVE to do. I know I have about 15-20 minutes in a grocery store & luckily I work in food so I can get groceries here.

Dunno.. might have to finish blowing up that punching bag tonight. Get the creative cap on & think of something. Maybe I need to buy a new audio book to listen to while on the treadmill or something.

...so on a positive note, WE HAVE RAIN! Rained last night & is still going. I LOVE IT! One report said we might even get 5 inches of rain. Woooowhoooo!

Yay for the rain! :jump:

Too bad about your dog. I mean mine's a little dog and he's all excited when we go out, but he's a good walker. He'll even ride on the 4 wheeler with me, I just got to figure out if there is a harness for such things - as I harness him to me with his leash as is.

I'm sure you will find something that will fit your lifestyle.

Have a great day!

I can so relate to that... that comes in spurts for me...

This is the do as I say not as I do advice... :)

Do take care of yourself... Do what you can when you can.. and dont beat yourself up if it doesn't happen... Just don't give up on it... the spirit will come back to you.. sometimes just a break iswhat you need to re-focus yourself...

I love bubbles...

And YAY for rain - maybe it's the drought that was affecting you...

OOOOH OOOH OOH
mal's favorite thing to do...

you've got rain..

Now get your behind outside and go SPLASH in puddles - seriously SPLASH!! get all wet get muddy too ifn' you wanna -you'll clean up... but take a running leap at that big puddle and jump in with 2 feet... seriously...

yeah. I have to just remember that it takes time to get back to where I need to be. I have been diagnosed with PTSD & had anxiety attacks most of my life. I learned to deal with them, but the past few months they have been more intense so I have to figure out a new way of dealing. Still pisses me off at times. I am doing everything I can to stay off meds. I know its been a stressful year so I'm giving myself some slack.

However... I also know that regular exercise is recommended to help (with it seems everything..) so yet another reason I should get the booty in motion more.

Puddle hopping is good for what ails you... :D

What about dance classes - like salsa dancing - its a ton of fun, not hard to learn and the music just really makes your hips move :D or belly dance classes...

I'm thinking I will have to institute the house party rule again. I used to spend like 30 minutes dancing my ass off around the house. Dog thought I was nuts but chased me around some.

Plus I will have to check out what is on the on demand channels on the TV. That is where I found the belly dancing. Its free & there so why not.

Hey there GAL :jump: TY for getting me so pumped up for those 160's!!
