MoonGoddess's Path

MG, don't let that boss of yours get you so stressed you start making poor choices. She is not worth it. Maybe you can envision her getting fired or quitting so you can find brief moments of sanity. I can't believe how unprofessional she is. Maybe you can find ways of avoiding her or "shutting her down" quickly when she goes off on tangents about other co-workers. It's not in your job description to listen to that BS. Know that you deserve to be happy at work and have a boss that you actually respect and can learn from. Change is always good and it's always a good to explore "other options" :) Good luck to you.

Hang in there and plan your dinner in advance tonight so you can avoid the bad choices later :) You can do it!!

What sucks is it is in my job description... sort of. I'm Human Resources here so anytime she does start taking smack & I point it out she claims she only mentions it so that I am "aware as HR". Argh... she's just clueless & has no life outside this place.

I envision beating the crap out of her... that helps.

Not really very motivating as far as productivity, but I can make it to 4pm.

I think dinner is going to be something at home tonight. I have a couple of steaks in the freezer I wish I was thawing. Ug. Tomorrow I need to set the crock pot or something ahead of time.

LMAO...envisioning beating her up? I like your style. Close your eyes and envision giving her a good open handed whack across the head. haha Crazy how she feels you "need to know" all her gossip. Some people are complete idiots. But...think of it this way; at least your job is not boring! Things could always be worse and I don't mind an occasional juicy story about a fellow co-worker.

Good job on the dinner planning!

hers are more about how certain people are incompetent or that they are sabotaging each other. When in reality she is taking things out of context or making big deals out of nothing. Rarely do I get gossip. She wants me to deal with her dirty work. She doesn't have the balls to call people out on her own. I have caught her several times. She will say one thing & when I ask the other people about it, its completely another story. She is just insecure & lonely & needs to get a life. She really doesn't pull her weight.

Thanks for letting me vent & being supportive.

She knows that I am not happy with the way things are going & that I may not be here at the end of the year. Now she is kissing my ass. I don't trust her. She is too jeckle & hyde for me.

So tonight... I leave all this stress behind. I have called a new therapist & am waiting to hear back to schedule an appointment & have submitted a few request for more information on a certification program. I would love to change careers at the moment. Checked out a few job ads & plan on working on the resume soon. I don't have it in me to deal with it at the moment.

I think I am going to give into the man tonight & actually get a christmas tree. I typically see it as more work than its worth & just admire the one my parents do when I go there for the holiday. Jose wants to do a big tree but can't really on base & frankly spends most nights with me now. So I guess if he want to haul it in, I can donate the space & it would be a good mind distraction. I also want to make some gingerbread cookies.... ug. why is food such a focus this time of year. Maybe we will make some ornaments instead. I remember a cinnamon applesauce mixture that you cut into shapes & then let dry... get the smell without the calories... or taste, but whatevah!

I haven't had a christmas tree in years and occassionally I miss it but really don't have the patience for the amount of work involved in having one.. not to mention storage space :D

have fun decking thehalls though - or you could bag the tree and strategically place ornaments on various body parts :) fairy lights are pretty though... I have t hose up year round :D

ginger bread ornaments - all the smell andnone of the calories :D

yeah he mentioned getting a fake tree, but I veto'd that one. I don't have room to fart in my house much less find somewhere to stuff a tree for 11 months of the year. I usually do some lights in the window or tree outside & some lights & greenery on the hearth & entertainment cabinet (FYI you get the trimmed branches from the live trees at the hardware places for FREE & you can decorate with them all over the house!). I have a few big houseplants & hang a few favorite ornaments on them & the hearth.

one more hour & I'm out of this place.... for the night at least.

You can do it!!!

I still can't decide if I should set up my fake Xmas tree this year or not. I didn't last year. I want too but, I end up being lazy. Plus, I don't know if I exactly have a space for it either. I think I will set it up. I will make my little bros help me. I just know setting it up also means taking it down..... lol

Sorry about the jobfront Moon. Things will get better though, I promise. It sucks that in the world we live in now, with outrageous bills and insurance, etc. that we have to do what we gotta do to survive.

Take care,
Sam

:smilielol5:HAHAHA!!!:smilielol5:LOVED THAT!!!

I go crazy and decorate everything...

Well I have to admit I had fun.

We ended up getting a 6-7 foot frasier & got many laughs & strange looks driving it home in the back seat of my convertible sypder! Unfortunately that included a wendy's drive thru... ug. Oh well. Tonight will be better, it already planned out. Got it up & then figured out I didn't have enough light & that somehow in the years of not doing a tree I have missed placed my favorite ornaments. I got bummed & he got me back in the car for some ornament shopping, which was really sweet & fun. The tree now looks great & I love all the new ornaments. Thank goddess for 2 for one deals!

the dog however just acted weird. Not sure what he thinks of us bringing in a tree & the putting on a bunch of balls that he can't pay with. I caught him already licking one that had glitter on it & had to yell at him! He's good though & I doubt will mess with them again since I have let him know they are off limits.

& I ADORE THE SMELL!

that's probably the best part of a live christmas tree - poor puppy - i'd bet glitter doesn't taste very good either :)

I h ave a tree trimming party to go to tomorrow night - I"m going shopping in the tawdry district to find the raunchiest ornament I can find :D

Nice... we stuck with the classic glass ones. although I was tempted to get some gawdy purple feathered ones.

the lights however... there are a couple of strands of the constantly on type, but then there is one that has different settings & one is the epileptic nightmare.

purple feathers would be pretty.. if you can't be gawdy on your christmas tree where can you be gawdy? that would be my only reason to get a tree - to make it a total white trash chrismtas tree that any trailer park would be proud to have :D my mother always disagreed with that..

Blinky lights are annoying - blinky lights that do more than just blink on blink off.. give me a headache :)

I'm typically pretty bah humbug, but I'm trying to get somewhat in the spirit of things. Just seems like there is too much negativity around here. Besides its been years since I got into it, once a decade isn't so bad. Good to have things shaken up a bit.
