Elle's my husband won't be back from Afghanistan until the end of april 2008. so thats 8 months 1 wk 5 days, so i am hoping to get to my goal of at least 150 by that time but still not totally sure i can do it yet. Still working on the whole confidence that i can do this thing as its barely going to be a month since i started on this journey.

Food and Exercise list for 8/11/07

Breakfast: Blackberry/banana shake

8 oz blackberry dannon light and fit yogurt 90cals
1 medium banana sliced 109
½ cup milk 75 cals
4 ice cubes
Total: 274 cals,

Lunch: McDonald’s bacon ranch salad w/ 3 oz grilled chicken on top
½ tablespoon of ranch dressing
20 oz powerade
total: 535 cals

Dinner: 1 cup cooked Hamburger Helper Crunchy Taco
Total: 300 cals

10 glasses of water throughout the day

Snack: 1 medium size red plum (70 cals)
Dessert: 1 reese’s cup (115 cals)

Totals for today: 1,294 cals, 47g fat, 166g carbs, 64g protein

Exercise for today: 45 min cardio workout (ddr playing working out at 75-85% of max heart rate for 25 minutes at least not sure though cause I lost count as to how many times I took my heart rate during that 45 minutes)

4. 15 miles today for walking

Great job on the water! I did not get nearly enough water today, unfortunately.

I am glad you have Alex to keep you busy while your husband is gone, I am guessing it makes the time go by faster, although it is sad that he is missing watching Alex grow and change.

I have a friend in Afganhistan until february, stationed at Bafram Air force base. His wife is here with their 5 and 6 year old kiddoes. Plus, she is going to school. It's been hard with him gone.
 
Well since i quit the current job maybe I will start doing ddr for exercise - I love that am always stressed and on the go and tired...now i will have a bunch of free time and actually be able to keep the house clean...so it is all good...excellent on your water - I usually drink abt 3 liters as a min...it is funny how it becomes habit...

you've done great so far - congrats on that 15 lbs:D:D:D

Sorry I didn't hop back on lastnight,I git tired then hubby
came home so we turned in early because of the kids games.
I am so TIRED righ now fighting to keep my eyes open and it
is only 6pm lol.I hope your enjoying your Sunday,yay on getting
your water in,I love water I can drink it 24/7.

Don't concentrate on how many lbs left to loose before hubby comes home. With every lbs lost, you are getting healthier and reducing your risks of possible health problems later. Just keep on going like you are and you goals will be reality. Will-power, patience and determination will get you there!!

Well today was an ok day kinda laid back. Really didn't feel like doing a whole lot. Tomorrow i got a lot of running around to do. I gotta go get my meds from the pharmacy and then alex has a doc appt at 1pm and i was thinking about going to the mall to look around and see what they have there just window shopping as i don't have any money to spend.. lol i hate living paycheck to paycheck.

Today's food:

Breakfast: 4 homemade blueberry waffles w/ 1 teaspoon of butter and like maybe 1/4 cup of syrup but not sure as i didn't use much. (too sweet)

Lunch: 2 egg salad sandwiches (4 hard boiled eggs mixed w/ 1 tablespoon mayo made 4 sandwiches 2 for me 2 for my mom)

Snack: 30 grapes

Dinner: 1 cup of Crunchy taco hamburger helper (leftovers from last night)

Exercise: 2.28 miles

Water total: 120oz ( use a 24 oz bottle )

That must be really hard not having him there. I had a friend who went to iraq two times and that was really hard, can't imagine my husband being away for that long. You must be so excited for him to get home!!
As for the weight loss, you'll do amazing!! You can do it, you seem to be doing great so far. :]

I have my 3rd weigh in tomorrow and am dreading it so hopefully its a good outcome as i haven't been exercising as much as i should. but my cals have also been a little lower then i would like too so i gotta step things up this week so i have a great weigh in next week after tomorrow's. hope you have a great week.

oooooh!!! Good luck on your weigh in, I'm sure you'll see some sort of loss. :) I wish I had the patience to only weigh myself once a week, but alas, I'm a daily weigher. Which sometimes I think is a bad thing but in other ways it's good for me.
Hope your weigh in goes amazing and hope you have a great week as well! I'm sure I'll stop by tomorrow though to see how to weigh in went. :]

Well today's weigh in didn't go the way I wanted but I'm going to try not to let it get me down. I did lose .2 lbs but that was it. So I am now at 250 exactly. Hoping to be in the 240's by the end of the month so 2 more weigh in's for august. Lets hope i make my goals.

This is a link to a chart i got from my ticker that shows my weight loss since i started posting on the forum and all.



I am also thinking of taking my ticker out of my sig and putting my quote that i use as a motivational tool in my sig. The link above shows my ticker and my chart so i am just going to use that and then update my chart that way for now. I may change it back but i guess we will see how this new idea works first.

Gonna Kick things up a notch this week and hopefully things will go my weigh. Hope everyone has a great monday

Hey there Heather,
Congrats on 2 lbs that is great I would be so happy to see that weekly.Your doing a good job with eating exersicing and being a good mommy.
You will be in the 240's in NO time and I swear it will start to fly by quickly,the key is to keep yourself busy and each day will pass faster and so will the weight.Have anice Monday,Tammy
 
Thanks Tammy on the congrats but I only lost .2 lbs not 2 lbs. i was 250.2 before this weigh in. Hope your having a nice monday too.

Congrats on losing the .2 pounds. Its much better than gaining or staying the same:)

Your exercise and food has been looking really good. Your doing so amazing. I'm sure by the end of the month you'll dip into the 240's. That's my plan too... my weigh in is on wednesday we'll see how it goes:)

Sorry I havn't been here the last few days... as you saw I've been feeling like crap. Thanks soo much for your support and keep up the amazing work.

Anyways I plan to kick things up a notch this week which reminds me need to get my workout on now... since i finally got ds to sleep for his nap since he had a late appt today. Hope your weigh in goes great on wednesday too.

Oh yeah i wasn't able to get my quote into my sig so i made it into a avatar type thing. Hope you all can read it. I really wanted it in my sig but since they have limits on them i couldn't put it in there. :( well hope everyone is having a great day. Off to exercise now.

Well so far today:

Food has been pretty good.

Breakfast: shake was vanilla and peaches

2/3 cup peaches
8 oz vanilla yogurt(dannon's light and fit)
1/2 cup milk
4 ice cubes

Lunch: 1 egg salad sandwich
2 eggs w/1 teaspoon mayo on 2 slices wheat bread
24 oz water bottle

Snack: Plum and some more water

Dinner: 1 personal pan size pizza and 20 oz minute maid lemonade

exercise: so far 30 minutes of cardio (burned 525 calories, according to hrm) and a total of 4.84 miles of walking.

Clearly you're embracing change. This is a good thing, Heather, maybe the best of things.

Just know I'm keeping an eye on ya. Keep up the solid routine :)
 
Keep up the good work Heather!!! Don't worry about a smaller loss then expected. It could be a lot things, too much salt the previous day...etc.
I weigh myself every-day and sometimes I "gain" 1.5 lbs just before my weigh in day, and the day after it is gone. Makes one crazy. Just keep your focus like you have been and yuo will see that 240..

Its great to have all this support from you all and I hope I am doing a good job on supporting you all even though I haven't been able to stop by everyone's page lately.

Anyways this morning has been good so far. I jumped on the scale just for fun and it said 249.6 even though its not a official weigh in day. lol why oh why couldn't it have said that yesterday.. lol anyways. I'm feeling good.

I had breakfast already today which was 1 bowl(2 packets of Quaker's weight control oatmeal) not sure on the cals but will add it up later today.

Lunch not sure what its going to be just yet probably 1 egg salad sandwich and a piece of fruit and of course water.

Dinner is going to be 1 piece of skinless/boneless chicken breast(grilled) and veggies and maybe some more fruit.

Exercise: 30-45 minutes of cardio and 2 sets of 20 upper body exercises and abs (100 crunches) This may change depending on energy levels and time restrictions. due to ds not sleeping or whatever.
