Miss Princess's diary

You know, I think I saw that in a "boot camp" class at the gym once (safely through the window). Your partner loops a jump rope around your waist and holds you back while you try like hell to run across the room. Geez, that looked painful. Glad I was on the other side of the wall for that event! Is that what we're doing here? I'll have to try harder then. I swear I heard grunting out of that class!:p

That was exactly what I was trying to do, don't you know. ;)

LMAO!!! I did it today! I swear!! LOL I LIKE exercise.. I just don't have a lot of nice sunny weather or a whole lot of time or space  I'm TRYING not to resist your training :D :D

205

10:30 mile w/ shoes (nearly killed me though)

Good morning all! That 10:30 mile was last night, and then my throat started having some kind of spasm & I'm still coughing this morning! I had to drink wine on an empty stomach just to try to keep breathing! I didn't feel bad about the running though, I just don't like not breathing (duh).

I also didn't eat very much yesterday because I was too busy working and exercising ALL DAY. I ended up with about 1250 calories consumed by the end of the day, which, for those of you who have read my brain spillage about that, you know is really low for me. I was starving during softball practice, but I just found out we have a game this weekend, and we're terrible, so we really need the practice.

After that I only managed the 0.7 miles once around the track after practice, and then I got home and felt OK, plus I was still cranky at my fiance for saying my 11:20 time was slow, and so I ran another mile on the treadmill. 10:30 was the best I could do, and I couldn't even sprint fast enough to run an 8 minute mile yet! I'd have to do 8.5 MPH for that, for a whole mile! Not a chance (yet). I'll work on it. But the fastest I could go on the treadmill without feeling like I was going to fly off the back was 8 MPH, and I could only do that for about 20 seconds! Oh well, I guess I know I need to practice now.

He did say that he was really impressed at the amount of exercise I've been doing lately. We've been together 12 years and he said he's never seen me exercise this much before! That may be true, but I really want to get rid of the "chunk" that's left. I still hate pictures of me, I think they look way worse than I do in real life. Is that possible? I realize that I don't know how to dress, but I don't think I look as wide in reality as I do in pictures. There's that whole thing about pictures adding 10 pounds to you, but I thought that was just an excuse to be in denial about being 10 (plus) pounds overweight! Do pictures really make you look fatter? I think they do, but I've never had an easy time with body image or seeing myself as I am anyway. I'm too clouded by my own biases for that still. I'm working on that too.

So today I have softball practice again, then I'm running at least 2 laps (1.4 miles) and then at home I need to put in another mile on the treadmill to improve my time. If I can breathe tonight. I'll put in the mile, but I don't know that I'm going to race it, it was really scary not breathing last night. It felt like I inhaled a giant bug with wings that was blocking my airway trying to get out. I might call my mom and ask about it, she's a nurse and she knows so much!

Have a HEALTHY day, everyone! Please think before you act today, be aware of the positive and negative things you're doing for (and to) yourselves. :)

Wow! You are working on becoming the exercise queen! :D Sorry to hear about the asthma bothering you. :( I'm not sure what to tell you about the pictures adding 10 pounds cause I hardly ever allow anyone to take pictures of me, but in the ones that have been taken, I'd believe it.

Oh, by the way, my scale said 206 this morning. I don't believe it yet.

I hope it's true, then maybe my 205 is true. Then maybe we'll all be moving in the right direction! We're doing it right this time! I'm trying to be the exercise queen. Tomorrow will be a little messed up so I'm going to try to run w/ my dogs in the morning to get my exercise over with before my whole day of travel. That'll be 3 miles, and it'll probably take me an hour just because I like to run them one at a time (more individual attention). I'll be sharing a child size movie popcorn with my mom, and eating salad for lunch. It shouldn't be too bad. Wish me luck!

Howdy, MP! :D Just a tip to pass on. Doc told me if I EVER get caught without my inhaler and I have an asthma attack, chug a redbull or something with a lot of caffine (RB is best but a high caffine soda - think Volt or Moxie will do in a pinch). A sugar-free redbull is only 100 calories - MUCH better than a lot of sodas that have the same amount of caffine. The caffine stimulates gets everything revvin' (including the lungs) and your body will eventually catch up with your breathing :D Yeah, you may shake and vibrate a while, but my inhaler does the same thing to me.

Think of it as CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. He wasn't putting you down - just pointing out one of his observations :D Just use the "crankiness" to improve the time - CAREFULLY!!! I'm proud of ya for gettin' in so much exercise! I miss exercising a lot  Before I started at the chocolate factory, I was exercising 2 hours a day easily and rocketing down the scale - now I'm lucky if I snail down the scale :( Oh well, I'll work it in. I DO love my job :D

Hope you've had a great day! (Give my Auntie a wave in Tucson for me, huh?! :) )

We're always our worst critic when it comes to pictures being taken. And if you're luck is like mine they probably always snap you from an unflattering angle or with a goofy look on your face.

But if they say the camera adds ten pounds....well you've already lost that ten pounds!!!

Caffeine? Really? Wow, I went the opposite direction (glass of wine) but it helped anyway. I'll keep that in mind. I guess decongestants do have a lot of stimulants in them anyway, so the caffeine thing makes sense.

Thanks for the warm fuzzies, Scarlett. I still need to lose that extra 16 (or whatever it was) before I make friends with the camera again.

Did anyone notice Hypo Hippo's new dominatrix avatar? Cute. ;)

I'll be out tomorrow, but hope to check back w/ y'all on Saturday sometime. Happy Friday everyone!

I don't think that's neccessarily true that photos add pounds. But it might capture someone when they're not looking their best and that might add a few pounds like when u're wearing ur frumpiest of clothes at a picture shoot. and as an amateur-wannabe photographer, I'm pretty sure that a good photographer would take great pictures of someone and make sure all the conditions like lighting are ideal and perfect to compliment ur body. like if the lighting is more pronouced then maybe it'd make the shadow of one's nose more pronounced. you know what I mean? Cause I hope that makes sense. ^_^;

Hope you had a good friday, MP :D Lookin' forward to seein' ya Saturday:D

Hey missprinces, hope you're having a good weekend so far! To answer your question on my diary the pizza and chips did make me feel very bloaty so I won't be eating them again in a hurry.

Wow- I was just catching up in your diary and I am in awe of your exercise routine. You are really doing great! Keep up the good work :)

205

didn't run yesterday, so no new time to post (sorry)

Thanks for missing me ladies, here I am! Thanks also for the awe, Val, I was feeling lazy today, but after looking at BizeB's exercise and your sweet comment I can't be lazy today, can I? I'll have to run on my treadmill tonight, it's raining today (thankfully - we need it badly!).

Just thinking... how easily I fall into laziness. I was out of town yesterday, so I walked the dogs 2 miles before I left (I couldn't run, I only had 4 hours of sleep, I would've broken another leg!) but I didn't exercise yesterday really, and I didn't this morning, and I didn't feel like I was lacking. I AM, I know it, so I'm going to get on it as soon as I get home. But it's so easy to sit here typing away about how good I'm going to be, and then not do anything. Time to put up or shut up I guess. ;)
