Michelle's Place- A bit wiser this time around...

MISHI!!!! Omg woman.....I wish I could HOLD YOU and give you a BIGGGG hug...:grouphug:...You poor thing....I am sooo sorry to hear about your mother! Things will work out fine, you'll see.....you'll see....:iagree:!!! I tend to do the same thing though as your mother, and keep the negatives aside & not tell my loved ones...cause I don't want them to worry :(!!!

...you are an ANGEL,...and your mother is as well :D:, and GOD is protecting you guys! :)....Wish I could have been there for breakfast..heheh.... sounds YUMMY!!! I can't wait to make some Yum breakfast tomorrow too!!! hmmmm :drool5:!!!

Thank you Alta!!! The keeping negatives aside works great until they are on to you... then they will always wonder and imaginations are certainly no good in these situations! lol Mine always runs rampant.

I forgot to share some GOOD NEWS!!! lol So I mentioned that my husband wanted to get me a Wii for my birthday but because he is a bad planner with these things the stores have all been sold out and everyone seems to be Wii crazy so it's hard to get one. I knew if we just waited eventually we would find one and last night while perusing Wal-Mart for a few things we stopped by the electronics section so my son could play with the video games. Lo and behold there was one lonely Wii left from a shipment they got in that morning. A quick call to hubby and transferring of some funds and there is now a Wii sitting in it's box in front of the tv. To be honest I am very nervous to open it as it was expensive and it's a hot commodity... like gold or something. I really just want to stash it under the bed!! lol I am totally a hoarder! So I am going to try to get it hooked up today. Fiddling with electronic hook ups is my favorite thing to do:) I even installed my car stereo when I was 16 but I blew a fuse and didn't figure it out so I needed some help eventually lol.
Just need a Wii Fit now:D

Very cool about the BREAKFAST!! Oh, and the Wii! :D It's a good time... and the kiddos love it! Get the boxing... again, I feel sorry for your husband! :D Have a great day... but I know you will, who doesn't like fittling with electronics????? ;) :D :)

Hey Mish
Cool about the Wi. The tennis and the boxing that comes with it will provide a fair workout if you get after it, but be careful...too much too soon can give you tendonitis.

Have fun...My kids love it

How cool that you got a Wii!! I have heard good things about Wii Fit! Good Luck this weekend Michelle, I will keep you and your mother in my prayers. *hugs* I'll be thinkin' of ya.

Mishi!! Hope you had a great weekend, and enjoyed your new Wii!! Actually, did you even do anything else the past two days?? :D :D Thanks for dropping into my journal... I appreciate it. Sooo, workouts with kids... I just get up EARLY, before they are up, and get it done! Wish I had some super secret amazing information for ya, but pretty much, that's all there is to it!!!

Happy Sunday right back at you... hope you used it for some nice R & R!! :) :)

Not been around...

Sadly I haven't had much of an inclination to write here. I am just sooo busy!! So much to do and so little time to write. Food hasn't been great but hasn't been too awful. We went to ABQ this weekend which means lots of take out on the road. I really need to figure out a better alternative when traveling. It's just so hard when it's so convenient. My hubby and I are talking about tightening up the budget a lot so that we can pay taxes and delivery costs in April. The good thing about being tight is no take out. Hopefully things will calm down and I will have time to relax and post:)
In mom news hopefully we will find out by Wednesday. My son and my hubby have a cold now too so I will be needing to take care of them for the next few days:) Chicken soup on the menu tonight!!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for your mother. I guess no money for fast food is a good thing! I hope all calms down a bit for you, and I hope your hubby and son feel better soon! Take care of yourself, Michelle.

-Brandy

Hey Mishi!! Do what ever you are capable of! Your life has to be CRAZY chaotic right now... let things calm down a bit, and get back to your "goals" as soon as things let up a bit! Until then, keep well, and cook that turkey!! ;) :D :) Have good ones Mishi. :) :)

Thank God!!!

Hallelujah!! (wow I spelled that right on the first try lol;) )
I actually got at least 5 straight hours of sleep last night. I can't tell you how much better I feel with just that! Not sure what the deal is but whatever I did yesterday I need to keep doing lol.
Food has been a big struggle for me. I am so gosh-darned HUNGRY!! I am not happy unless I am brimming with cereal or rice, or ice cream or something! lol. There seems to be specific foods I am drawn too and those are usually some sort of dairy or starch. Sugar too seems to grab me. So I have gained around 5lbs in the last week or so. sigh. I think I am fighting a losing battle and am a bit frustrated. I know I need to take care of myself and I am doing that but I miss walking and it might be awhile before I am able to get back to it. I still walk the dogs daily for at least 30 minutes but yesterday half-way through I got this pinching pain in my lower back... on the right side of my spine. I couldn't bend or walk without it hurting!! I understand that the weight in my front is going to cause some issues (baby is almost 3lbs now and running out of room to wiggle lol) and it has been ok until now.
I had a weird dream that I was doing situps with a big pregnant belly and getting my abs all ripped... which somehow I could tell around the baby bump lol. It was an intense dream!!
Of course because I am feeling better I am on the verge of overdoing it so I am going to have to mentally reign myself in. I have a prenatal yoga dvd that I am going to do and then walking the dogs but otherwise I am going to focus on diet and not eating crap. So far so good with a breakfast of 3 eggs, toast (with spray butter and cinnamon/splenda), and 4oz strawberry yogurt. Eggs aren't supposed to be the best for you and normally I have 2 but I added a 3rd in the hopes that having a more filling breakfast will curb some of the afternoon munchies I get. For lunch planning on turkey sandwich with light mayo and some fruit. There aren't many groceries in the house. My husband and I have decided to go "hard-core" with our budget for the next few months because we have slacked about saving for taxes and baby expenses. All in all is going to be around 4-5K. sigh. So groceries will be limited and no eating out at all which will be good. I am trying to use up all the things in the pantry so I am trying to be creative with dinners. It's a lot but ultimately it will be good for us financially and for our waistlines!! lol
Just watching Saw 5 and am a bit twitchy lol. Yoga will do me good. There needs to be more good horror movies out there!! I like the ones that freak me out and leave me a bit shaky and thinking :D. This one wasn't too bad!!
Hello JZ!! lmao "cooking that turkey". Being my husbands child I am sure "turkey" is pretty apt;) lol. I am a pissy person about slowing down but sometimes it just can't be helped. I am chomping at the bit to get back to it in May though!! I am figuring a month off and then I can start the C25K program again... this is all with a grain of salt as I will be even more sleep deprived by then but it's better to have ambitious goals imo:D
Thank you Brandy! Still haven't heard about my mom. She has been working so hasn't had the time to call the dr. Hopefully she will do that tonight.

In baby news- some of this will definitely be TMI so this is your warning lol.
Belly is getting bigger and baby is getting squished so the movements now feel a lot like rolling and shifting rather than the punching. There are some hits (and whoever said "fluttering" was smoking something lol) and lots of them seem to be straight down on the bladder which makes the bathroom my constant companion:leaving:. lol
So here is the tmi part... lol I read in my book that some women's breasts (I call them "boobs" cause I am still in that awkward teenage phase ;)... lol) sometimes start leaking. Nothing compared to when your breast feeding but I remember with my last pregnancy that about 7 or 8 months along if I squeezed I could get a drop or two of what they call colostrum out of them. Colostrum (not sure about the spelling) is a pre-milk and is packed with vitamins and antibodies and is generally a super charged health shot for the baby and usually is what the baby drinks first before the milk comes all the way in. Well when I read that I figured I would give it a whirl and low and behold a drop or two can be squeezed out. I had to show my hubby and he lamented that "his boobs" wouldn't be his for too much longer lol. Poor thing. Ok so I feel like sharing today;)
lol
Hopefully I can get my sleeping back under control and you will be able to tell because I will have the energy to post!! lol
Hope you all have a good day!!

GOBBLE GOBBLE!!! :D

Good to hear you are feeling better!! Also good to hear the good baby news! Keep healthy and safe, then BUST ASS after "D" day and get where you want to be! I feel bad for you that you want to accomplish your goals, but half of the steps to doing that are "off limits"! Very funny about the "TMI". Meh... just another day for most people who have kids!! Continue to have great ones, hope all news with your mom is good, and keep sleeping well... makes a big difference in energy, and outlook! ;) :) :)

Crap

It's cancer. Not sure of all the details. She is meeting with the doctor next Friday. I am very worried but for the most part repressing. The thought of not having her around is something I just can't think about. Hopefully things will be ok. I am trying to stay positive for her of course. Keep her in your prayers and thoughts.

Sorry to hear that Mishi. I will most definately, keep her and your family in my prayers. Keep strong, and I wish the best for the entire situation.

Michelle- you and your mother are in my prayers. Don't ever lose hope. Dan's 81 year old grandmother fought off 3 types of cancer last year, and she is ok now. You and yours are in my thoughts. <3

Monday

I have been sick the last week. I haven't been getting good rest and I am not sure if it's because of being sick or recovering after our trip to ABQ. So I have been trying to take it easy. The only downside is that I crave comfort food when I am sick (lol who am I kidding I crave it all the time;) ) so I haven't had a steller eating weekend but there are some pros. Drinking decaf tea, eating tangelos, and more veggies.
The news with my mom is incomplete. Not knowing the extent is really hard. Hopefully Friday we will get some more news. Thank you JZ and Brandy. Brandy it helps to know that about Dan's grandmother.
Watching my mom go through this makes me think of my own health. I guess one of the good things to come out of this is there is no better motivation for me than a close relative having health issues like this. It's not something I can forget.
So spirits are high considering. Just need to get well! Only 2 and 1/2 months left until B-day... lol baby day. I can't wait.
Hope you all had a good weekend. I actually watched most of the super bowl and damn that was a good game! Sad the Cardinals didn't win though.

I hope you get well soon Michelle! Make sure to take it easy. Only 10 weeks left?!?! That is so nuts! And every exciting.

I didn't watch the super bowl at all. Patriots weren't in it- so I had no reason to pretend to care. haha. lol.

Have a good monday!

Hey Mishi, Haven't stopped in her ein a while and i'm sorry I haven't... Too bad about the situation with your mom... I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts. We went through a cancer scare last year, thank god it was caught before it went very far and my wife appears to have a clean bill of health since the hysterectomy. Needless to say I can relate to the emotioal stress during thi stime though. Take care of yourself and try not to let things get to you...:grouphug:
