Michelle's Diary

Hey everyone, turns out were not going on our family trip after all, my mom isn't feeling well so were delaying it. Oh well, my dad, brother and I are going to go to dinner and a movie tonight, were going to the Olive Garden (I LOVE that place!) then going to see a movie (I forget the title of it LOL). Have a great day everyone.

Oh, dinner and a movie sounds FABULOUS! The last time I did that was 4 years ago. Man, I need to move to the city:(

Have fun!

Thanks guys! Were going to go in a bit. Mmmmmm yeah the Olive Garden has the absolute best ministroni soup and salad and breadsticks! Tonight I'm just going to have some of the salad and I'm going to order whole wheat lenguini with a lemon sauce with skinless chicken strips over it. I just eat half of it then bring the other half home for another meal. The portion sizes don't seem very big but trust me, pasta is very filling. Especially the whole wheat lenguini, with the fiber in it it fills you up twice as fast as regular pasta. After dinner were going to go to the mall and my dad and brother are going to have a Mrs Fields Cookie (which I will pass up by the way lol) and then were going to the movies. They will most likely get buttered popcorn (which again I will pass up). Have a great evening everyone.

wow olive garden I love that place. Its not as good as homemade pasta but its about the best we get around these parts lol..... keep making those good choices no matter how bad they hurt lol......

Hey everyone!! I had a great time at the Olive Garden last night, I had some of there signature salad (YUMMY) and about half of my main course, which was a chicken dish with all kinds of veggies, carrots, brocoli, vukini (don't know if I spelled that right lol) and whole wheat lenguini with a lemon-hearb sauce. It was sooooooooooo good and so heatlhy to!! Then after dinner we went to the mall, where my dad and brother had a few Mrs Fields cookies (I went walking around while they were eating to avoid temptation), then we went and saw our movie, which was called "World Trade Center", which was a very good but very sad and powerful movie. Then after that my dad stopped at Dairy Queen and got him and my brother a soft chocolate ice cream cone. And I'm happy to say I avoided temptation again! YAY me! Now for my progress for the day:

Breakfast: 50% less sugar Apples and Cinnamon Quacker Oatmeal with 1 small plum, 2/3 cup vanilla soymilk and 1 cup of coffee with Sweet N'Low=about 130 cals (don't know what the plum was)
Lunch: Lean Cuisine BBQ Chicken Pan Pizza w/ 1 tablespoon salsa, which was absolutly YUMMY by the way!=330 cals
Exercise: Gonna go out and run :)
Dinner: My dad is going to grill some chicken and corn, and were going to have some fruit and baked beans with our meal. All very heatlhy, especially since I'm going to take the skin off of the chicken

Have a great day everyone!

Hey everyone, turns out I didn't run again today, today was actually quite busier than I thought. My dad and I have been gone a long time shopping and I've been busy doing things around the house, nand plus my cousin is coming over in a little bit and staying the night with us, so I really need to get back on the bandwagon tomorrow. Starting tomorrow there will be no more excuses, I'm going to get my lazy butt up and just DO IT! :)

Good for you WLC, best of luck to you for tomorrow!

BTW, big kudos to you for avoiding temptation in the land of dairy queen....

LOL thanks very much Mike!!! It's just gotten to the point where fatty food is no longer worth it to me anymore, I don't feel good while I eat them (not to mention after I eat them) so I just don't do it. However, of course I have to treat myself to something every once in a great while (and trust me it is every once in a great while) so I bought myself a dark chocolate bar at the mall yesterday. I LOVE LOVE LOVE dark chocolate I love white and milk chocolate to, but dark is my absolute favorite. Did you guys know that in moderation, dark chocolate is actually good for you because it has a natural source of antioxidents in it? I learned that on the food network show "Healthy Appetite With Ellie Krieger" (I love that show). But of course, don't let that fact give you a free ticket to gorge on dark chocolate, you always need to watch portion sizes. I also heard from Ellie Kreiger that if you have a chocolate craving, don't have anymore then 3 ounces (the size of three fingers). So thats what I'm going to do on my chocolate bar, just break off little pieces at a time and enjoy it. Did I mention how much I LOVE dark chocolate? LOL!

Hi WLC,
Just wanted to say thanks for dropping by my diary....I love chocolate too, just wish it was considered a vegetable :) hehe.
128 huh? that is amazing. how tall are you? I'm 5,6 and would love to be at 130. You have done a great job...what kind of work out do you do??

Hey Lovely! Your very welcome, and thank you for stopping by my journal! I work out at Curves 3 days a week and I walk/jog for the other 3. I gotta start doing my jogging again though, like I said starting tomorrow there will be no more excuses lol. I'm 5'2 and I would really love to be 120-125 pounds. I'd like to be 127 before I go back to school. But even if I never get to 120 I am very happy with myself the way I am now and I am perfectly content with my body image. My self-esteem is higher than it's ever been and I am just really proud of myself. Just keep doing what your doing and you will eventually get to your goal, sooner rather than later :). Have a great night.

you are exactly right.. i'm with you girl...even if i stay at this weight that i am right now, i feel much better about myself than i did before, we have to remember that even when we have those bad days we haven't blown it alltogether, tomorrow brings a new day and the opportunity to get back on track....you're doing great!!!

Thank you Lovely!! Your doing absolutly wonderful as well, keep up the great work!!! Eating heatlhy and exercising can be a pain sometimes, but I just never forget the rewards that come along with it, the compliments people make, feeling great about yourself, being able to wear great clothes, and just physically feeling good. It's gotten to the point where I hate fried and junk foods anymore, because I don't feel good while I eat them and I especially don't feel good after I eat them. Just keep telling yourself that you can do this, and that there is always light at the end of the tunnel :)
