Marsia's Diary

Hi, Marsia :grouphug:
J's old phone is probably newer than mine. I hope the battery on his old one is also better. I just can't bring myself to spend so much money on something with built-in obsolescence like a smartphone. That Apple class sounds like lots of fun!

Your daughter is going to be a great navigator if she´s grown up aware she needs to pay attention. Also: that class sounds fun:)

I feel exhausted just reading that too, but I had a crazy, busy day too. The art class sounds like a great idea.

I just spent about 10 minutes trying to come up with a suitable adjective, starting with A,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
hmmm......
absurd,
absentminded, (I think this wins)

Grumpy
Old
Absentminded
Thing.
GOAT. Or just Nanny :D
Woot to you being so close to your lowest weight again.
Yay for a sparkly house!
Now for some Marsia time xoxo

If someone told me I was being mean I would be devastated. GOAT!

Yay for relaxation time! You so deserve it :grouphug:

The kind of goat that´ll put her foot into the bucket right when you´re almost done milking. Or kicks it over, even. Yay for relaxation time!

Once my mom decides that some harebrained thing is true, you can tell her until you are blue in the face that it isn't and show her every flaw in her logic, and even if you convince her, the next day she is back to believing in the hair brained idea. So no use to keep getting frustrated by the same nonsense over and over.
Reasons are for reasonable people. Logic is for logical people. Your daughter sounds like a very sensible person.

Oh, Marsia :svengo:
I am so glad when my Mum got dementia she seemed to have a personality change & turned into a sweet old thing. My sister & I used to crack up when I would tell her some of the comments staff at the nursing home would say about our Mum, especially the "she's so sweet" ones.
Your daughter is as sensible as you are & your Mum really knows how to push your buttons. You can try to use your daughter's approach. It's worth a try. That's all we can do- try to do the best we can. Sending you a very big squishy hug :grouphug:

I haven't got much time now as I'm expecting the GK's any minute, but I must tell you the story about one woman's most embarrassing moment xoxo

Well the jeans I bought the other day that fit perfectly fall completely off my hips now - I cleaned my pants off (literally!). Good thing they were thrift store pants and didn't cost much! Today I did all this yard work - moved branches from tree trimming, blew off the decks and paths, and also cleaned some more in the house and set up the fire pit and cleaned the outdoor chairs. Cooked up a storm. Am beat now. Just a quick check in...

Marsia hi there,
Back like a bad penny but hope this time my head stays in gear . Just read a few things and as always you are amazing ! I pulled some ragworth today trying to keep the invasive species at bay . Will read more later but it's time to go catch love island reunion with my daughter ( yeah I watch that trash and really enjoyed it lol

Isn't that the greatest!! I mean, its awful because nothing fits and you have to keep spending money on clothes that may not fit in a couple more weeks, but its still so exciting and validating!! I have a hard time seeing the difference in my body regardless of my weight, so seeing something objective like clothing not fitting at all is so important to keep motivated! Great job on a productive weekend!

Oh, this, the sleepover story, is so good - everybody happy, even down to the cat! Great kudos to you for making it all happen so beautifully. And great about the jeans, too. :hurray:
