March 2010 - March 2011: 350lbs-190lbs. 160lbs down.

Hey all, just thought I'd throw some pictures up here of my weight loss.

Started at the beginning of March last year, 350lbs and miserable. Was at the point of eating fast food almost every night and each meal being 2800+ calories. After having the honest fear of not waking up the in the morning, I decided to start a program to lose weight, and here I am now at 190lbs now.

From here on out I am going to start upping the exercise and weights to hopefully tone and tighten up, as well as build more muscle.

First two pictures are of me around my heaviest, and the last two I took tonight. Nothing fancy, just cell phone pictures. Kind of wish I had more pictures of me when I was at 350, but I pretty much deleted them all because I didn't want to face the reality of what I had become.

WOW! FANTASTIC job!! You look like a completely different person!!! Keeping pushing forward to meet your weight lifting goal :)
 
What was your secret to losing the weight?
Do you exercise?
What did you cut out of your diet?

Wow!!! what a transformation, congrats!! You just inspired me :) questions: how tall are you? Did u hit any pleateus? im currently at 225lbs started on August of 2010 at 310lbs, do you think im in the right path? Thanks so much and keep it up man :)

I'm 25 years old, 5'11", and I was (still am) on a program called Take Shape For Life that uses Medifast food. Easiest way to describe it is a more strict/less option version of Nutrisystem and other diet programs like that. It's definitely an amazing thing and has been easy to stick with this whole time, though some of my friends who have tried it fell off rather early and gained their weight back.

I'm still on this program for the next week before I start transitioning off and eating more regular, normal meals. Hoping to be ~185lbs by the end of transition and then I'll just having to start some kind of bulking diet to gain more muscle, or maybe some kind of leaner program to tighten and tone up. Who knows though.

you definitely look amazing. that is a big achievement! you should be super proud!! inspirational for sure. amazing how much younger you look now

i hope you don't have a hard time once you come off your diet. keep us updated on how that goes. any plans for how to bulk up?? congratulations again. :)

Not entirely sure yet, any advice? I started P90x today, chest & back and abs, and that definitely made me feel beyond out of shape. So tired now, I just want to go sit in the tub forever.

No plateaus really, though towards the end here I'm only averaging about 3lbs of weight loss a week. It sounds like whatever it is you're doing is definitely working for you, just lost of diet and exercise?
 
Yea pretty much i jog for 2 miles and power walk 3 miles 6X a week and diet since i started on august, any recommendations or advice how can brake out of the pleteau?thanks :)
 
Amazing job!! I'm seeing some great results with my fiance with p90x. His abs are definitely getting my approval. And arms.. wow... that pretty much sums it up.

That's pretty much what I'm hoping for, to at least be able to see my abs and get some definition in the arms.

Are you not losing much anymore, or just stopped losing entirely?

I kinda gain 2 or 3 pound then i lose it and back and forward and so on, ever since i reached the 240'ish mark back in late december.its pretty frustrating but i just carry on and try not to give up just for the fact that i came this far.im currently at 226 gained 1 pound, if i dont reach 219 by the end of march ill most likely switch to something else.
