Lukewarm's Weight Loss Diary

Thanks guys. Well I feel like I'm starting to understand the point a little bit better. Like in my spin class, before we start, my instructor has us go through a number of stretches together, but I'd never feel a thing when did the upper body stretches. I lifted on Tuesday, and when I was stretching during class on Wednesday, I finally realized the purpose of stretching my arms. It felt good, and my muscles felt tight, so I'm happy my upper body is getting a workout as well.

Hey Kim! Yeah I'll post my pics right now too. Don't worry, you guys can see all of my lumps and bumps in my picture because of the tight clothes I'm wearing. It's ok. :hug2: We're changing, we'll post new ones soon.

Thank gosh, I have a little grin in mine, my husband was rushing me out the door, all the windows were closed up so it was a bit dark, but darn it you can still see me.LOL LOL Next pic I'll be 10 lbs smaller and I'll wear my hair down, I'm hoping to get it cut and highlighted in the next 30 days. I like this getting smaller thing, I can really get used to it.

Gosh Sara! You wear those pounds extremely well. You look absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful hair and you dont look fat. I am so stunned and surprised, with all this nonsense you've been talking..only to look like that. Ha. I wont believe your stories anymore.

 Thanks Blancita...I would love to run through all of my flaws, but instead I will say thank you, and next time I post a picture, I'm gonna look thinner damnit! ;)

Sara, you little liar, liar pants on fire, you look great!! Our hair is about the same length, how funny!! You lucky little thing having a booty too, AHHHH I'm jealous!! Your so pretty! :)

LOL Kim I love you but "little" "lucky" and "booty" don't belong in the same sentence when discussing my ass. The hardest places for me to lose is my butt and thighs. Thank you though, you're beautiful, thanks for posting our pics together. We'll do it again sometime ;) in a couple months maybe?

Your ON!! Let's say August let's post another update picture. But this time I'm taking it OUTSIDE, and I'll hopefully have color on my legs by then and can post in shorts. LOL It's rained so much I haven't even been in the pool ONE time so far this summer, I was swimming in the end of May last year, arggggg! It's going to be a nice weekend, maybe we can finally get it looking blue again! :) What are you doing this weekend? I just got done eating some watermelon, black bean dip and a couple ice pops, mmmmm they were good!

Sounds good! August it is. I'll post mine after the 14th though...and I'm going to be tan as well. Whoo! I'm more motivated now because I want to post a recognizable difference. This weekend I'm going to start training at my new job. :) I hope you have a beautiful weekend Kim! I have to go lift...getting hot is hard work! :rotflmao:

Sara!!!Oh, you silly rabbit!!! I was expecting Quasimodo or something the way you kept downing yourself and you are friggin beautiful...I can't even imagine how hot you are going to be in the near future. Ohhhh, and I lost sleep over this 'cause I should be in bed right this second (gotta work at 6:30 in the a.m.) but I wanted to see your pics and reassure you...when you don't even need it!

Thanks Cym :hug2: I really appreciate it, it's hard to post pictures of myself wearing tight clothes that are designed to exhibit my flaws! lol freaking hard. But you've made me feel better so thank you!

 Is it a belly, is it a boob? I dunno, it's a mystery ;)

LMAO you nut! Um, I can definitely tell the difference between your belly and your BOOBS!!! lol You look positively fantastic, really toned and great posture, the body of someone who's been burning the rubber off bicycle pedals! Wow. This is the week for pictures of bodacious babes isn't it?

LOL Anna I'm so happy you can tell the difference between what's what! I was thinking, "should I suck it in?...yes yes yes"...but at the last moment, honesty won out. Belly in it's glory :rotflmao: Thanks for your wonderful sweet comments.

Sara I sent you an email about the calories but for readers here...

In general if you have 1 off day here or there, in a minimal over or under caloric sense, you keep going about as planned.

If you go massively over or under, and it happens multiple times, then i would alter the program based around what you have done, your goals, etc.

For example if you at 1200 three days in a row, I would put a high re-feed day in place for you on a complete rest day.

If you went really high three days in a row, then I might bounce your calories a little more extreme for that week or two to keep you on track if trying to meet with what your current goals are.

Hi Leigh! lol I'm happy I saw your post after I lifted! I'm about to check my email too, but thank you for that explanation. I think this calorie bouncing thing is interesting and it makes sense, thanks for taking the time to explain what we should do if we have a few days where we either over/under eat. :) You're awesome.

So I've decided that I need to start better planning my food. Because I'm getting bored and lately everything is starting to taste the same. I get so frustrated when trying to cook up something that will last the entire week, like chili, or a soup or a stew. I made turkey chili a while ago and it was SO good, but I just got overwhelmed when I couldn't figure out how many calories were in it. I want to try making a soup this weekend, because I want to eat more veggies, I want hot food, I have a slow cooker and I also have this really good organic vegetable broth. My sister called me at like 6 this morning and wants to play tennis tonight, so I have a few hours training for my new job, and then after we'll hit the courts. I have spinning in 1 hour, and man, my muscles are so sore from lifting yesterday. I hope I give it 100% this morning, I can always tell by how sweaty my shirt gets. lol sorry that's gross but it's true!

Hi sweetheart :). To count the calories in a homemade dish with several servings, go to caloriecount .com and about halfway down the homepage, click on "recipe analyzer"; you will then enter all the raw ingredients and the number of servings, click, and it will give you the number of calories per serving. Be very sure to check the right bottom of the screen to see if any of the ingredients were NOT added because you didn't describe them "properly" so they could be read by the analyzer. In that case change the measurement or description a bit and see if it takes (the food with red next to it didn't get added).

With regard to the Chinese food, I'm sort of in agreement with your family. I think there are things on the menu you could safely eat. OK, maybe one or two things. I get the steamed chicken with mixed vegetables and steamed brown rice. You could throw the chicken in a measuring cup and then add it in fitday by the cup, then measure out 1/2 cup of the brown rice, and tack on 20 cals for the veggies. Add a bit of soy sauce or something too. You should eat with your family and you should NOT be saying no to a healthy free meal, assuming Daddy was going to be paying for all of you. RIght? :rotflmao:

Good morning! I've never checked out caloriecount.com but I will, thank you! I totally plan on making a scrumptious veggie soup tonight. It's hard because I don't have a food scale, and I don't know if 1 cup of a certain food means 1 cup of diced up whatever to fit all the corners of the cup, or a rough cup of irregular shapes. Wow that probably doesn't make sense at all.

You're right lol, I shouldn't be passing up any offers for a free dinner! I see what you mean about being sensible with the measuring, it probably wouldn't be as bad as I'm making it out to be. I'll remember that from now on. Ahh I'm totally almost late for spinning. Have a nice day everyone!

I always get beef & broccoli because the meat isn't deep fried...yummy dish. That with chicken fried rice and I don't think you'll be piling too many calories in.
Have a great workout Sarah.
