Lukewarm's Weight Loss Diary

Darn Sara, there's so many things I want to say "very, very cool" about:
2lbs down
staying within your guidlines
your "inner work-out" (I really love that)
getting onboard with measuring and portioning (biggest tool you could have)
buying a new bathing suit and liking it
your positive attitude

and number one: your perspective on taking care of your mind/body and understanding that this whole process of "building" a healthier, fitter body is one of the most important things you could do right now...as irritating, frustrating and sometimes time intensive as the process can be... I live everyday with the knowledge that every single aspect of my life has improved 100% because of my commitment to become and remain fit and healthy....it's exciting for me to watch your transformation (both inner and outward) and know all the good things that are in store for you!

WOW Sara, 2 lbs down, EXCELLENT!! I'm so happy for you!! That's such a wonderful feeling when you can see it for yourself on a scale. I'm hoping to lose a few this week myself, I'm changing things up a little on the food, and trying out a new class at the gym, let's hope it works for me, I would really like to see some pounds off that scale for the month of July, that would be nice!! I have an old swimsuit I would like to put on by August, without fat poking out all over. HAHAHAHA it's pretty high cut on the thigh, and well it has criss cross straps in the back, it's ONE PIECE of course. HAHAHA I do have a two piece very similar to the one ANNA shows of her on her diary, but mine is all brown. I don't wear swimsuits in public yet, but I hope to change that again. HEHEHE :) Good luck this week on another pound down. Let's do it together!! Chow babes!:rotflmao:
Kim

Rho I agree! I wish everyone would realize they can overcome those personal battles.I know. I had an ounce of cheddar cheese this morning. Just because I wanted it. 6 grams of sat. fat in a piece of cheddar cheese? But I wanted it!

Cita Thanks, I'm surprised, but truthfully I don't expect that to last. Today I have my first "refeed" 2000 calorie day since...oh like 4 months? I lost 6 lbs last month, and that was on a 1300-1400/day diet. I sent in my report to Leigh for Sunday and she said everything looked pretty good so far.

Cym Thanks so much. I spent hours practically ‘testing’ like does a scoop of whey protein really weigh exactly 28 grams? (YES!) 21 cherries= 5 oz.? (Sort of) I LOVE MY SCALE! I made a veggie soup too, and it’s measured and portioned and tastes great.

Kim I’m really happy you’re changing it up a bit. I think that may be the exact thing needed to see scale movement. I didn’t expect to lose weight this week…I only did cardio 3 days, when I was doing double days 7 days a week last month. I believe in this so-called shock therapy.

Val Thanks woman ;)

Today is my first refeed day, I get to eat people! I sent my report to Leigh last night, and included the weight I've been using, and she was quick to ask if it's possible that I'm not performing all of the lifts properly. I struggle hard with the step-ups using the two 15 lb DBs so I'm going to try and use the 10 lb DBs and concentrate on my form. I really think that I'm doing the bicep curls properly though, although I remember curling 10 lb weights in high school back when I swam and played tennis all the time. I always thought it was easy then, and now I think it's a little harder but it's still sort of easy? I did what she said and tucked my elbows in and I really don't think that I used any other muscles besides my arm to curl the weight. I'm going to concentrate on my form. Also I definitely need way more protein for the amount of cals I'm eating today.

I'm about to go pick up my sister so that she can take my progress pics, and I've made up a little package for her to take home with her when I drop her off. I have included TLC cheese crackers, low sodium wheat thins, the glorious block of cheddar cheese I just bought, and some other random snacks that taunt me every time I walk into my kitchen. Remove the temptation! Had to share, so that I actually give it to her :rotflmao: Stupid me thinking I could handle a block of freakin cheese in my fridge.

You just made me laugh out LOUD. Stupid me thinking I could handle a block of freakin cheese in my fridge
Oh, we are a lot, aren't we? LOL You da bomb, Sara.

Sorry havent been able to post due to lack of internet/laptop. You're doing great! God you must enjoy the re-feeding :)

I couldn't do 15lb at first - had to start on 6lb and work my way up to be able to do it in good form. Some people are just weak hehe.

Anna Yep, I underestimate my food urges! I can honestly say that I have zero binge food in my house right now though. I'm safe ;)

Lula I would certainly not say weak, I think our builds have quite a lot to do with it. I've always had a thick build, you have a thin build I think ;) Honestly, I'm happy the re-feed is over. I felt out of control yesterday, like I was cheating or something.

Lena Thank you for saying hello and for the congrats! I hope you have a nice day as well! :)

I am happy the re-feed day is over, I didn't enjoy it very much because I felt like I completely cheating on my diet. I wasn't obviously, but still it messes with my head. I'm happy to be back to 1450 today. I'm not weighing myself until tomorrow to see what happens. I am very very desperate to reach the 150's guys I think that my motivation will take off once I get there. But I can tell without weighing myself that I'm either the same or I have gained. I have spinning in a few hours, I didn't make it to the beach today but tomorrow I have a trip planned. Magazines, sheet, towel, iPod, sarong, cooler, SUNBLOCK. It's gonna be nice ;) I'm going to show you guys the view from my favorite bar on Pensacola beach, I used to bartend there last summer, and it was a beautiful spot! Hope everyone has a nice day!

Hey chica....in the midst of a lovely, lazy, semi-antisocial (in a good way) day with even my cell phone turned off and thought I'd pop in and see how you were doing and say "Howdy". So....um, howdy. LOL

Don't sweat the refeed, I can't tell you how glad I am Leigh has you doing it and you're going along...you won't regret it. And don't sweat the scale too much right now...whether it's up or down is less important than all the good changes that are going on in your body right now...your body is like this fantastically beautiful house under construction...you're building it from the inside out....

Oh I like that.

Hi Sara; hope you had a great day. The pictures are so beautiful. You're so lucky to live near the ocean and all that powdery sand. You'll reach the 150s ...it's just a matter of time. Make sure to love you right NOW as you are too though, K? Cuz it makes the time go better.

Cym Thank you. You're right, I know you guys are right. The problem is I don't quite understand why. I'll let yall know tomorrow what the scale says.

Ok my goals for today:
-Hit the beach & wear SPF 50
-Pair a protein with every meal
-Complete all of my lifts properly/rest only the allotted time in between
-4.0 L H20
-Register for fall semester online
-Call the restaurant about my next training day since they haven't bothered to call me.
-Don't weigh in.

I'm not supposed to weigh-in until Sunday, and I also can't take measurements until then, so I'm going to be patient and not sweat the scale. Yesterday was a great spin class though, I'm one of the 'regulars' now, it's so funny that I don't feel intimidated in the gym any longer. You know that black and white tank I wear for my progress photos? I saw a girl at the gym wearing the same one and it looked so nice on her, as in her lovehandles didn't throw off the shape of the shirt :rotflmao: can't wait until I wear something like that to the gym. I wear big baggy grey tshirts right now. I look manly. ;) lol anyways I hope you all have a nice day. I'm going to try and brown up a bit today.

Whiley Thank you! I am in the vibe. It's a bit early in the morning, but I feel motivated ;) I hope you have a nice day as well! :)

Your quite welcome me dearie!

I've just come back from spain from a holiday and i miss the beach :( do somewhat wish i'd planned to lose weight before going away! Have my portion of fun for me! :D

Whiley I know what you mean! I don't belong anywhere near a swimsuit at the moment but I must get a little color. Besides I always find it so relaxing to listen to the water and ignore everything else. Just gotta find a super secluded spot. I will try and enjoy it for ya ;)
