Lukewarm's Weight Loss Diary

Rho Totally have been thrown a nice curveball. I'm excited! No it isn't the same friend, but a girl I practically grew up with. She's sick of snow and ready for the beach :) haha I know I had to look at them to understand what they meant, but a facepull is a row, and a plank is a beginner exercise I think that where you keep your body elevated with a neutral spine. We do something like that in Pilates.

Kim Oh gosh! I will post my before pic if you post your pic :shudder: That's very fair. But yall your eyes are going to bleed. Me in tight clothes, no makeup, stringy hair, unsmiling...haha it ain't pretty. But I wanted my before to look all nasty, and then to make my after beaming and happy. Because I will be happy because I will be all fit :) I have to wait until Friday to get a phonecall, I hope they call earlier though! Oh I seriously swear that Goldfrapp - Beautiful, is the best work out song ever. Alison Goldfrapp is just great to work out to. I listen to almost all rock/blues when it comes to working out though, I have a rock-n-roll obsession that I'm guilty of pushing on everyone. Sneaker Pimps are great for working out, and Portishead is great for a cool down. OH thanks for reminding me, there was this INSANELY beautiful song that my instructor played in class yesterday and I was determined to come home and find it. Also lately my spin instructor has been playing Justin Timberlake and I now love it. Also Le Tigre! You know what the worst part is about my pictures? I made sure not to suck in at all, and since I didn't suck in, there is no difference between my belly :cringe: and my breasts, because I'm so damn pear-shaped. 10 lbs. changes so much on my body at this point. I felt so-so at 150 instead of like now at 163.

Cym Agh I know! This forum is an addiction, and I want to get to everyone's diaries...everyone's different situations are so interesting. I'm boiling corn. I bought lemon and lots of fish but I haven't cooked anything yet. Perhaps I'll have fish tonight. Hope you're having a nice day, I read your diary already and I'm about to go post in there, but I'm so happy you found your dress and that you can wear anything you want. I think that has got to be amazing, and don't be ridiculous, it's not shameful vanity. If you weren't proud, it would be disgraceful. You worked far too hard to not enjoy the finished product ;)

Val :( Yes, it's not nice, and she's so great. I think I'm going to explain to her why I won't be coming for a while. I have a question about lifestyle incorporating into this whole exercise plan, I'm formulating it though so that it makes sense. This reminded me, thanks.

Sunny Spinning is awesome, and I bet you'll love it if you try it out. Try it and let me know what you think! I am genuinely sad that I can't attend 5 per week. Thank you! Tomorrow is my first day trying it out!

LMAO!! Your so funny! So your posting a some what current pic right?? Not an old one is that right?? I'm so confused, and I must add I doubt even without makeup or hair done your still a knockout! Okay, But I too have several of those pictures where you can't tell the difference between were the top ends and the bottom begins. HAHAHAHA. I haven't seen a current picture of myself in quite some time, so I might be in shock once I have my son take it, I hope it's a good shock and not a bad one.:) I'm very top heavy a D cup, so I have always looked square with broad shoulders, I hope they look better now in pictures, we will see.! I know I'll hate it, so I better just shut up now and deal with it. :) Thanks for the song and artist selections, I'm going to give them a try. I have a ton of Justin Timberlake on my Ipod now I love his stuff, it really pumps me up. I also listen to a lot of Black eye peas, love them! I'm not really into Fergie by herself, just not the same to me. I'm going to get going, I need to get busy so I can get out of here and get some fireworks. Later Gator!! Have a GREAT 4TH!!
Kim

Kim I was a little confusing hahaha! I will post a picture I took this Monday, if you post one too. Ohh I can't wait for the 4th either :) Yay! Although I hope it's nice out, I know you've had rain, and it's been storming like crazy here too.

Okay Sara it's a DEAL!!! don't let me down, I'm going to post a recent picture too. Make sure you haven't eaten before you view it. (you might get sick) HAHAHAHAHA I think I'll have one snapped tomorrow, since I'll be out with friends and casual. It's not supposed to rain, so I'm holding the weather man to that prediction, however, the weather changes here like my mood. :) Later sweet cheeks!
Kim

Kim Pffftttt I don't want to hear it. You're beautiful. We have made progress and we should be happy for it, it's not like we're done losing, man we're just getting started ;)

You know Sara talks a lot of smack about her before picture but I can say more would love that to be their after. Very beautiful and strong woman. Am looking forward to continuing my work with her.

In case anyone is curious as to the reasonings behind Sara's program (if they think to high/low, dont understand reason behind the design, etc.) it is very tailored based on all the information that I received, how she stood in pictures, and more. However the basic principal of eating for activity, less equals more, and rest is progress...are things you can all apply to your own programs.

If you watch this journal enough, it is truly going to be a great course in healthy exercise and diet.

Leigh, I'm looking forward to hearing your specific advice to Sara. She seems such a uniquely enthusiastic student who will really follow through on the plan you devise. I'm just glad there are people out there who try to discourage excessively low calorie intake and overdoing exercise. None of that can be kept up, and those who follow this route will pay the piper later when they've trained their bodies to maintain on this restrictive lifestyle.

Hey Sara, how'd things go today?

Oh Sara, you're so funny :)

I like Goldfrapp, but I think they're more chilled out, so I'd listen to their stuff for yoga, maybe.. Sneaker Pimps I absolutely LOVE, but again I tend to listen to them when I'm in a chilled out mood (except for Spin Spin Sugar). I quite like drum n bass *blush* while working out... at least something with a really strong fast beat.

You must be so proud Sara - a visit from Leigh herself!! I look forward to seeing more of her plan for you. Maybe I'll get a few tips myself! PS: I'm really happy she at least got you to start eating more! :D

Leigh Thank you for all those nice things you said :)

Blancita Thanks for what you said as well, I'm ecstatic that I'm learning the correct way to do this. I had a great day, I start the lifting tomorrow! I hope you had a nice day too ;)

Rho You know you're right, they are more mellow, I used to listen to them while I was walking on my treadmill, and a lot of their songs would be the perfect beat for me to walk to (you can tell I was walking slowly). I love drum and bass, there's this underground (literally) club here in Pensacola that is like a cave where these guys spin. It's awesome, I love it too. I hope everyone can glean something, I'm thrilled about it. I am learning to trust that I can't outsmart my body. The whole eating a certain amount of calories for your daily activity level is brilliant, it makes total sense. I hope everyone had a great night.

It's impossible not to smile when I read your posts. Your enthusiasm is infectuous. Your eating plan and exercise Leigh assigned looks fantastic and I know I'll be learning a thing or two in this here diary! You have a great day too, Doll.

Good morning Blancita. Sundays are due days for pictures/measurements/weight. I weighed myself yesterday though and it was still 163.

The kayaking trip sounds fab! Combining fun and exercise - that's the way to do it! See - a healthy lifestyle can be fun! :)

PS: Is there a recommended saturated fat limit?

WOW! You have a similar goal that I share as well! My goal is to be able to go hiking with my hubby and kids in September when we take a road trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon!

Woo-Hoo! You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much love,
Vanessa
