AAURGH! IT just deleted my huge pregnancy-ramble post! GRR!!! Maybe I'm just not meant to tell all you guys all that... the universe has spoken...
Oh bugger that. In short, I spent the day TIRED, and after wandering a little in the morning and spending 90 minutes (!) standing in line at the post office, I came back to lie down. And spent way too long looking up 'early pregnancy symptoms'. Tick tick tick tick... no tick... tick! It's tough though, because a lot of them are very similar to PMS symptoms, but this feels different somehow. And there are some weird symptoms that fit, like having sore swollen gums (which is weird for me) and feeling a little like you have a mild fever all day (which I really have been feeling, and worried I'm comng down with something).
BUT - not getting too excited. I mean, we have only tried one time before, so it's no drama if it doesn't happen yet. In fact, that means i get WINE! haha. But of course we are excited at the possibility. In fact, we've decided to go tomorrow and get a test... not tonight, because my man is going out with two of his best friends for a few drinks tonight, and he says that if it turns out I'm pregnant, he won't be able to keep the news to himself! And one of these guys has been trying with his wife for over a year now, so that'd be pretty shite for him...
so that's the ramble that was deleted, though it was very witty before. And now it's just boring. GR! Oh! I forgot to say that GEEZ Rainbow you make me laugh
OH! And Perfume is by Patrick Suskind. I've recommended Cloud Atlas to a bunch of people who have LOVED it, but haven't actually read it myself! Oh the life of an English teacher, haha. I think David Mitchell is a teeny bit too fantasy/sci-fi for me? Even though it barely is... it's more 'magical realism', I suppose, like The Life of Pi. But couldn't deal with that either. In fact, I didn't LOVE Perfume either, for the same reason. But I am the only person (in the whole whole wide world, it seems) who didn't TOTALLY love it. So give it a shot!
OH! Another thing it deleted - I'm worried that I'll get kicked out of here if I am preggers... I really hope I won't have to say goodbye, because I'd really love you guys to help me stay on track with being really healthy and exercising properly and stuff throughout....

FOOOOOD TODAY
- Grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread
- 10 cherries
- beetroot, feta and baby-greens salad (YUM! Though in all my research this afternoon I discovered that feta should be avoided in pregnancy, but hey. Might not be!)
- 1 pear
Heading out for Japanese tonight - I'm thinking lots of tofu and maybe a soup with some buckwheat noodles.... and my beloved edamame beans...
