Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

It's all relatively manageable up until about 105. When it gets up above that, it's just brutal. I don't even want to talk about the handful of 116 degree days we get here a year. Unless it's to get into your car, or a pool, don't go outside.

I'm getting nervous about the temps getting too high here too. Granted our highs are nowhere near your highs, but it still gets pretty hot here during the summer. I may need to get a heavy duty fan so I can still workout in the summer. Either that or I'll need to find a way to get a good workout in the pool!

Enjoy your day of rest and your day of golfing tomorrow. Sounds fun! :)

And the good times are over when it comes to the weather I'm afraid. From now until fall the weather is going to alternate from: hot, really hot and really really hot. The bad news is that I don't quite have my beach body yet, the good news is that we don't actually have any beaches.

You made me giggle :D
Have a fun time with your parents!

256.5 on Monday morning. Here's the model:

Found out I'm taking a business trip at the beginning of June that will last almost a week. As it happens, right now it looks like the ETA for dropping under 250 is the second to last day of the trip. Anyway it will be something of a challenge to stick to the calorie plan for a week while eating out for meals most of the time. The good news is that my health club has plenty of clubs in that city so I will have lots of workout options.

Speaking of which, back to the personal training today.

I would think having that milestone in your grasp will keep you an your best behavior. Enjoy your training session.

Good luck to you on your trip! I hope you're able to stick to your plan. I still struggle a lot when it comes to making healthy choices and eating out. I'm getting better with it though. :)

258.5 this morning. Odd.

Time for a haircut today, so I'll lose a few pounds that way. Personal training this afternoon.

Bummer that it went up. Do you tend to hold extra water when it gets hotter outside? Maybe that's the problem? I'm sure it'll come back off quickly though as hard as you're working. Enjoy your workout tonight.

You know what, I think my haricut definitely contributed to my weight loss - at least 2 lbs! I had super long hair!!!
I hope you had a great personal training session!

The scale has been doing odd things on my end too! I was 139.2 on Friday (been 139 for the last 3 weeks), then I was 137.6 on Saturday morning, 138.8 on Sunday morning and 139.4 on Monday morning, while eating well, exercising, and staying pretty good on sodium (only one day over by a very little bit), didn't eat out at all. Dang scale!

259 this morning. Hopefully this is the end of the odd upward scale tick. Thankfully I've managed not to tick back up above 260 yet. Last time the scale did this I weighed 7.5 pounds less a week later. Patience.

Played golf with my dad today, and got home nice and early to enjoy the rest of my day off from workouts.

A little blip on the radar Vee. Hit the measuring tape and stay the course buddy and it will remedy itself shortly. I on the other hand make incredibly slow but steady progress. Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption slow. It's like watching a tree grow.

258 this morning. Going back in the right direction anyway. The weight graph sort of hints at what's going on:

At the start of May, the weight dropped way below the model and the food poisoning last week probably caused it to keep from rebounding earlier. Ultimately, given what I'm eating and how I'm exercising, my weight should drop in a fairly predictable and orderly fashion. So when it drops a whole bunch more than you should expect, unfortunately that means things will get evened out eventually.

So yeah, the model is still heading in the right direction at about the right pace so there's not a whole lot to worry about with a few high weight readings. The model still has me losing weight at around 2.1 pounds a week right now and still has me dropping below 250 in the second week of June.

EDIT: Have I mentioned how nice it is to have a place where I can hash this stuff out? Thanks for the support guys.

It really sucks the way the scale teases us from time to time huh? This is my second trip lingering just above 200lb. I'm so anxious to break that barrier! What you say about when you see a huge loss and then it leveling out eventually makes a lot of sense. At my lowest I was at 203lb, but then I spiked back up to 208lb. Now I'm at 205lb again. Maybe my 203lb was just an off the wall number, but I gotta say it really got my hopes up! Stupid scale!

Anyway, glad you number came back down again and hopefully things will keep progressing in that direction for you! I'm also grateful for this site and the support here. :)

BTW, Quercus, Shawshank is one of my all time favorite movies. Anytime I see it on TV I have to stop to watch it! :)

Hey MrVee, sounds like things are moving slowly again in the right direction.
It sounds like you should be hitting 250 around the same time I am hitting 350. :)

256.5 this morning. A couple of cardio days in a row now so maybe that'll help jump start some more losses.

Have a business trip out of town in a few weeks, so heading to a clothing store owned by a friend of the family to get a few things for the trip. Also going to check the resale shop where I have some old stuff on consignment and see if anything sold.

But for now, it's time for bacon and eggs. Yum...

Bacon and eggs.... :drooling: 3 more days until I am allowed to eat everything again!

Exciting about the new clothes!! :) I just did a bit of a clothes shopping yesterday myself! These shopping trips are becoming more fun than nightmares.
