Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

209.5 again this morning. The model is at 210.8.

The possibility of mountain hiking exists today, but I may also take a rest day. My hamstrings have been a little sore, tomorrow is personal training and it's legs day and my normal rest day of Sunday is being occupied by golf (which isn't a real strenuous workout at this point, but it's not really 'rest' either). Tough decision...

Mr Vee, You are well & truly blitzing this! What an example you are to anyone who might be thinking "I have too much to lose. It's too hard!" You have lost 160lbs & it should be an inspiration for everyone. Hey- golf is a big workout for me! Are you THAT good? Well done V! xo Cate

No news on the job front yet. I'm getting aggravated with the delays, but I'm also not at all surprised.

AMAZING job on the weight loss (I'm a bit behind sorry :)) But you are doing so great! Congrats on being under the 30 BMI milestone, you'll hit your next goal in no time!

Was 211 again this morning (like the third straight day).

Well my dream job offer has gone bye bye as they've reneged on the offer. So now I'm back to square one.

The good news is that I get to live in Phoenix. The bad news is, I'm going to relatively poor forever.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. That's a real bummer, but I'd take a winter in AZ over IL any day. You seem to have a nice relationship with your family and the city though, so maybe a better local opportunity will present itself.

I predict a massive drop on or before Saturday for you. I seem to recall you having these stall patterns before that preceded a hefty drop. I have had the laser focus that you have this week. I hope I can keep it up. Time off and turkey day will make next week a real challenge. If I can keep the pigout to one meal I will be very pleased.

So sorry to hear that the job opportunity didn't pan out. You seemed so happy and looking forward to it. Maybe this is one those "everything happens for a reason" types of scenarios. Maybe life is gearing you up for something bigger and better. I hope that's it! :)

210 this morning.

Checking the weather, it looks like rain pretty much all day tomorrow. Since Friday has sort of become my mountain hiking day (since my trainer's availability is Saturday), I might switch the hike to today in anticipation of working out inside tomorrow.

It's an odd wakeup to this morning. I had been mentally preparing myself to be leaving phoenix for at least 6 weeks now and many of the things I had been up to were influenced by that. For example, my 19 year old car needs a ton of maintenance but since it wasn't going to be making it past March, I was trying to get by without it. Now I have to re-think. I put dating on hold for the same reason.

These folks won't make the Christmas Card list for me this year, I think.

Sorry to hear about the job not working out :( But as Mandy said, perhaps it's for good reason. Hopefully that good reason presents itself soon!

209.5 this morning.

It looks like I've managed to keep my old job, though understandably they're not happy. I've got a busy week ahead of me.

Started raining yesterday which kept me off the mountain, and unless something changes today it will still be too wet to hike today. So no mountain hiking this week.

Well I'm glad you have your old job. For some reason I thought the new job was through the same folks and didn't realize your ols one was in potential jeopardy. So they let you get far enough a long and then pulled the rug out from under you? Dicks!

I'm happy to see you back down to 209.5. The mountain will still be there. It stormed here last night and now it's chilly and raining. They are predicting an inch of ice/snow here Sunday night and Monday and it was in the high 70's a couple days ago. Odd to have winter stuff here this early.

Phew! I didn't realise that your old job was in jeopardy! Now, that would really have been a bummer! Onward & upward Mr Vee, there's another great job out there, just waiting for your expertise. Cheers, Cate

Sorry to hear about the job stuff that didn't go your way. I'm glad to hear you still have a job though! That's good. I second what Cate said... "onward and upward".

209 this morning. Just finished personal training.

There is a particular food phenomenon that can get me into trouble if I let it. It's when I eat something and my response is, "boy, that tasted like 'more.'" It does require a certain amount of discipline, but I guess the way I deal with it is saying to myself "the rest of them aren't going anywhere, and will still taste just as good next time you're allowed to have one." Just had some sort of vanilla/almond granola bar from Trader Joes that was just flat out candy.

Model says that I'm roughly six weeks out from breaking 200.

That will be a nice way to start the new year. I'd like to be to 300 by then, but I know that's going to take quite a bit longer. That's a great attitude. It's difficult sometimes. It's really rewarding when you have another allowed serving to think how that wouldn't have been here now and you'd still be eating something. It's like "thanks for the treat and discipline" yesterday me. I should do something for tomorrow me.

Mr Vee, showed my son your pics before and after that you posted and he was blown away....as we all are.
You look so much younger too.
You keep me me going, so thank you.:seeya:
