Looking to lose an extra human I apparently picked up along the way

Hop you can find yourself a softball league you can join!

MrVee, if you live moderately close to a community rec center, a lot of times they have sports leagues for softball (and basketball when you feel ready).

277.5 this morning. 2.5 pounds away from 100 lost. The model puts that as exactly one week from today.

Personal training later today and I'm a little sore right now. Hopefully after I'm up for a little while it will subside.

277.5!! Wee hoo!!!! There is no stopping you now Mr Vee. You sure do have that momentum going. It's so hard at the start when you see what lies ahead of you but once you start to see results & reap the rewards it's all worth it & your energy levels rise. It's not easy & it has to be a lifetime change, but you are showing that you can do it. Well done! Hope personal training doesn't hurt too much! Cheers, Cate.

Thanks Cate and thanks everybody.

Been suffering through a little case of the lonelies the last few days. I think that's just because I'd been out with friends for what seemed like two weeks straight and so spending almost all of my time by myself for the last four days has gotten to me a bit and led to various unproductive thoughts (cue Sinatra: "regrets, I've had a few..."). Usually I'm a little more used to it.

BTW my trainer damn near killed me today. Thought my bicep was going to burst into a million pieces. One more day of this tomorrow and then I have the weekend off from the TRX torture. Pretty much all 2XLs fit me now, for a bit some did and some didn't. We'll see how long it will be until I get into the 44 jeans which is where most of the retail stores stop sizing. Maybe as I get into the 260s, I'll never have to shop in a big and tall store again.

That's really something to look forward to- not having to shop in a "plus size" or "big and tall" store. Well done on your progress so far :)

Out at a baseball game and then the pub with the boys last night. Meaning some beers and an early St. Patrick's day celebration, meaning a dehydrated morning, meaning:

275.5 (it's more like 275.25). 99.5 pounds lost.

I could probably do some nonsense to get under (hell, I could even round it a little), but I didn't really earn it yesterday and this is a water weight thing. Almost there now, though.

Personal training later today.

When I was at the health club for the first time in late June signing up for all of this, the guy asked me what my goals were. I told him I wanted to lose 100 pounds the first year and then 50 pounds the next (my weight to my knowledge had been hovering in the 350 range for the years, I would find out a few days later it was in the 370s). Eight and a half months later, scratch goal one off the list: I've lost 100 pounds.

Unfortunately, the state I put myself in means I'm not close to done yet. The next milestone will be to move the poise on the scale. That means weighing sub 250. The model puts that at exactly 13 weeks, which is almost exactly three months: June 15. As a double check, I checked the NIH and it similarly has June 16 as the day.

I posted this on December 31 let's review:

Crack 300 in the morning: January 5. Actual = January 2.
100 pounds lost: March 24. Actual = March 16.
Weight below 250: June 20.
One year on program (July 1): 246.8, 128.2 pounds lost in the year.
Birthday weight: 235.
Under 25% Body fat (by model): December 23.

Today is mountain hiking day. High of 85, so I'm going to need to bring extra water.

I appreciate everyone who stops by here and keeps me motivated. It's nice to be able to not have to run down the street and shout "I've lost 100 pounds" in order to share the accomplishment. Thanks again everyone.

Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so incredibly amazing! Congratulations! You have done a really awesome job and are so dedicated not only in losing weight but also building fitness!!

273.5 on St. Patrick's Day. I weighed 283 last Sunday and 273.5 on this one. The scale does some funny things.

Going to the parents house for dinner today. My dad likes to do the whole thing with the corned beef and cabbage and the soda bread and so forth. Ultimately I'll probably be much safer calorie wise there than I would be out on the town, and I'll definitely be safer not out on the roads on amateur night.

Here's the chart of my records weights in red with the blue line being the predicted model weight based on the data:

You can see the weirdness of the weigh ins the last 10 days or so. Nevertheless it's nifty to see the weigh ins slide down the path. According to this model, my weight one year from today would be 186.8. I sure hope so...

Hey MrVee - congratulations dude!! - hit your one-year goal in 8 & 1/2 months- U are a machine & an inspiration to us all .
..and you are not resting on your achievement either- already have your sights set on your next goal of <250. ;)

Hope your family dinner is nice today- Happy St.Pat's day... & EXTRA happy one to you- for all your hard work & amazing progress.

cheers MrVee !!
Maryann

You're a changed man Mr.Vee and I'm damned proud of you! Way to look forward in your moment of triumph too. Way to stick with it through the scale being a complete jerk as well.

A truly outstanding achievement!
