When I was at the health club for the first time in late June signing up for all of this, the guy asked me what my goals were. I told him I wanted to lose 100 pounds the first year and then 50 pounds the next (my weight to my knowledge had been hovering in the 350 range for the years, I would find out a few days later it was in the 370s). Eight and a half months later, scratch goal one off the list: I've lost 100 pounds.
Unfortunately, the state I put myself in means I'm not close to done yet. The next milestone will be to move the poise on the scale. That means weighing sub 250. The model puts that at exactly 13 weeks, which is almost exactly three months: June 15. As a double check, I checked the NIH and it similarly has June 16 as the day.
I posted this on December 31 let's review:
Crack 300 in the morning: January 5.
Actual = January 2.
100 pounds lost: March 24.
Actual = March 16.
Weight below 250: June 20.
One year on program (July 1): 246.8, 128.2 pounds lost in the year.
Birthday weight: 235.
Under 25% Body fat (by model): December 23.
Today is mountain hiking day. High of 85, so I'm going to need to bring extra water.
I appreciate everyone who stops by here and keeps me motivated. It's nice to be able to not have to run down the street and shout "I've lost 100 pounds" in order to share the accomplishment. Thanks again everyone.
