Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

ROFLMAO!! Somehow I was so tired I didn't see that part last night. I read it this morning and about fell off the chair laughing :D Speaking of buttery pancakes, they say "margarine" in the calories for Denny's on their pancakes. I know that had to be butter cuz margarine doesn't sit on a pancake like that!! Oh well :) An occasional breakfast out isn't gonna cog the wheel.

Lol that is too weird! I bet it was butter...haha knowing Dennys. I will always have a soft spot for Denny's anyways because when I was 15, I went on a band trip to Hawaii and there was Dennys right next to our hotel so my friends and I would go eat there, because it was the closet we could have to "regular food" haha my friends loathe it, but I still have a hankering for their cheeseburgers every once and a while!

Also, dont worry about the scale, Im just about to throw mine out the window because Im so frustrated, so I figure if Im eating good, working out, its bound to happen eventually. And I always thought measurements were hard to take cuz I dont know if Im taking on the same place either, so I usually go by how my clothes feel, not exactly the best but if a shirt is too tight or pants are too tight, then you know something is up!

Your doing great Lisa! Dont let the numbers get ya down!

hmmm you know for the last two weeks i have had fluctuating
scale weigh ins as well -_____- i was eating very clean and
exercising... but now im starting to feel upset and binging on
things like reeses pieces... =T its hard sometimes...
but hopefully your doctor can enlighten you ^^

talk to you in a month! =D

I am obsessive about the scale. I don't know why, but its a problem. So I am trying a new approach to my thoughts... If I am eating healthy and exercising properly, I am getting healthier. The scale is just a number that tells me how my body is doing, but my fitness, endurance, strength, and flexibility let me know that I am succeeding.

If you can look back on your day and say.. "I am happy with this" then keep going the way you are. If you can't say that, make a change and try again.

You can do this Lisa. I will be behind you every step of the way. This year we are going to lose a bunch of weight together. :D

Aww THANK YOU Brandy :) And you're exactly right. It is buggin me but it's not freaking me out like it did that one time. Of course that was 5lbs and this is 2...but I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to. And honestly I'm going to way myself again tomorrow cuz...well I've had to make some frequent trips to the bathroom today so I think I was a bit backed up...not to be gross. And I weighed myself earlier even though I've eaten today and I'm down half a pound already....guess we always knew I was full of it! lmao

Thanks for the encouragement Cerella :) And had a nice chat with you...hope you're gettin some sleep now though. And don't worry about postin...you are way better about it than me and you know if I go too long without seein ya that I know where to find you :)

Some of you might remember me taking a trip to Cali to visit family last summer. While I was there I took a ton of pictures. They were building the Sundial Bridge in Redding when I moved away but it was finished when I was visiting so my mom took me. I took the pic in the link below from the bridge of the Sacramento River.

I do animation sometimes and worked on this one after I got back. After not having looked at it in a while I was surprised how good it looked. Feels like I froze that memory forever and could jump right in the pic, lol. Figured since so many of us have the winter blues I'd share a bit of sunshine. Enjoy :)

Dont worry about it Lisa, the body will definitely fluctuate with water weight (and other stuff..eeeehmmmm). As long as you are trending down overall, you are good. Can't wait for you to get to the 200's. With all the healthy changes you've been making lately, I can tell that will be VERY SOON!

Me neither Claudia!! I think that's why it's startin to drive me nuts cuz I'm so close, lol. But there's always gonna be another number to drive me crazy. I just need to remind myself to keep focusing on what I'm doin, not so much on the scale cuz I have a long road in front of me. Can't afford to let the scale derail me like it has before. If I have to I'll have my hubby hide the dang thing for a month, lol. I'd like to see the scale move back down to where it was first though.

I think the number on the scale is comforting, it lets me know if what I have been doing works or doesn't work. But it is just something to be considered among many things like intensities of exercises, healthiness of food, etc. Don't hide the scale, just take the number as just a thought for the day.

I have been thinking of putting it away for a bit for a while. As long as I'm doing what I'm supposed to then it's not going to matter if I don't weigh in every week. Plus I think it'd be nice to see a big chunk of weight gone all at once at the end of the month.

Bingo. Keep eating right, keep exercising...the weight will come off as long as you maintain a caloric deficit!

I couldnt function wihtout my scale im so horrible...Im always on it...

LOL!!! I am the SAME EXACT way! I have weighed myself religiously every single morning for at least 25 years. Kid you not. I found it has always helped me maintain my weight within a 15 lb range because its such a reality check when its going up even a few pounds past your normal 2-4 lb fluctuation. So definitely keep it up when your maintaining. However, if you're getting sufficient deficits then you dont need the scale to keep you in line and torture you on a daily basis. Just do whatever will get the weight off and keep it off (which may not necessarily be what makes you the happiest). Whatever that is for you. Once you figure that out then that's what you must do with the scale.

The image of backing over it with my car comes to mind :) lol But I won't cuz it's a pretty accurate scale. And I'm like the rest of you...constantly weighing myself. And that's great when I'm seeing positive results but I take it really hard when I don't which is dumb. Think I just need to stop for a bit while I work though this plateau, if that's what it is.

Well the hard part abt takin it hard with no results is you are setting yourself up for failure.

We havent been talking for long but I just really dont loose weight...I get a lil lucky here and there but it never lasts...*SIGH* Ive been here for a long time...part of it due to life and circumstances of hving to stop and restart...all the damn stupid infections i get that knock me on my ass and ya know i just cant seem to loose...

Even with cuttin my diet by at least 50% i still cant loose on diet alone...Only if I literally exercise my ass off none stop and it gets discouraging.

You took a break you are back adn you are slowly loosing...you hit a little snag, switch things up a lil...

Why not even make taking a walk twice a week a goal, it might be enough just to get that lil exercise in:)

:D:D:D

Walking twice a week...that's an awesome idea. And don't worry, I didn't mean stop working at it. I meant stop weighing in for a while so I don't freak out. I've been a bit...constipated this week. Not enough to warrant taking anything more than an increase in fiber but it is affecting the scales. And within the next week or so I know I'm going to start retaining water before TOM. I actually think I'll work harder this month if I don't see the number on the scale. I sometimes see success and think I can slack, lol. Sooo I've made up my mind. Next weigh in will be March 27th, in 3 weeks. And until then I'm going to try to work harder so I can see some great results.

Great idea Lisa, whatever works is the way it has to be. I can see how you think you can slack a little if you're consistently losing on the scale too. So yeah, this could get interesting.

Poor Relly, I sure know how you feel girl. Sometimes there is indeed a medical answer. We seem to have the same issues so let's see what happens with this alternative doctor. There certainly has to be a thyroid type issue with you, with all the working out and little eating you do!
