Lindseybot3k's Diary

Thanks! I think what's been doing it is that I've been counting calories as well as I possibly can here and I've been going down stairs every chance I get...I don't think I've taken an elevator down since I've been here this week!

Goldfish are these little cheese flavored crackers that are in the shape of fish. They're probably one of the healthier snacks that are easily availible here in the states, and they're very popular here.

DDR is not as effective as it used to be....I played the first DDR game I got for a half hour and only burned 192 calories...good, but if the gym was open I could have done double that on the elliptical in about that amount of time. It might be where I had to turn off the jumps so I wouldn't disturb my downstairs neighbors or where I tried the courses on there where when one song ends another begins right after it, but knowing that I could burn more doing something else bugs me. Too bad it's MLK day and the gym is closed and it's way too cold to take a walk around the campus.

Gotta love being able to eat peanut butter and jelly on wheat bread and still losing weight!

Everytime my calorie intake goes up, I kind of groan....it was so hard to get enough calories in when I supposed to eat 1500, but now I'm supposed to get in 1700 or more. Already today I feel like I've ate so much....the good thing today is that with the program I'm using, I can replace most of the things that I should be having or can get them.

So I'm working on a power point presentation for my IT class that I have to take, and it has to be something about yourself, and I'm considering doing a slide about my losing weight. I'm weighing the pros and cons of it all out in my head and I'm still really unsure of it all, but I know one thing, I do look pretty different. I took a screencap of the slide and cropped it so you could see just the pictures, and attached them to this entry.

I'm finally getting the Ipod that I wanted! I just ordered it online through Circuit City and it plus tax equalled the amount I would have paid for it in store at just about any place! It should be here in two weeks because I took the free shipping, and I just can't wait until it gets here!

That'd actually be an awesome presentation... and you could use powerpoints feature to go from one slide to the next using fade in and fade out or some other feature to drive the point home of how far you've come... Plus put on a soundtrack or something - add in a song that's been particularly helpful to you - or just phrases...

Could be a lot of fun and as hard as you've worked - -it'd be killer :)

Have a slide with the amount of pounds you've lost - and equate that to real life things - or the amount of calories you've lost or burned and then equate that to the same amount of snickers bars :)

I ended up getting the 80GB Ipod "Classic" mainly because through Circuit City it was about 35 dollars more than the modern equivalent that I have. It kind of made me a little mad when I found out that an 8GB Nano with video capabilities cost the same as my 2GB nano that I got for my sixteenth birthday! It was totally worth the extra cost, and if I had gotten the other one I was considering it would have probably would have cost almost the same amount if I had gotten through the Apple store (...which I was really considering because I could have gotten a pink one and I'm, surprisingly for a girl who's not really feminine, in a pretty bad pink phase).

I think I really might do that, but I'm going to have to find more pictures of me, somehow....those four are probably the best pictures of me inexistence that I have my hands on here. That first one, when I look at it, I can't really believe that was me, and that was about two years ago, towards the end of my junior year of high school!

I'm toying with the idea of showing how much I've lost by comparing how many calories you have to burn to lose a pound to how many food items it would take, and I'm thinking of making that a McDonald's Big Mac meal with medium soda and drink, which comes up to 1140 calories....to lose 66 pounds one would have to burn 231000 calories if you use the 3500 calories = 1 pound idea. Divide 231000 by 1140 and I get 202.6 Big Mac combo meals.

So techincally I've lost 202 McDonald's number 1#'s, lol, or 427.7 Big Macs off of my body.

............somebody do the math for me, because I just can't believe this.

350 minus 277 is 73, right?

I just can't believe it.

Thats exactly right!! THat is so awesome. Congratulations!!! You'll lose more and more and more... keep up the great work.

My new Ipod came in the mail today! It came much, much sooner than I expected and so far it's just too cool! I can't wait until I can go get a new Ipod gift card so I can get more stuff for it!

somewhere in offtopic is a bunch of links where you can get free - legal - downloads... :)

Itunes also has a free weekly download and if you go to the different country sites - you can get free weekly downloads from them as well -gives you a chance to hear some different types of music :D

you also might want to look at their podcast listings -they're generally free and since you've got so much space on your new toy youmight find some different subjects worth listening to..

the couch to 5k podcasts are pretty good...
