Lindseybot3k's Diary

OH MY GOD, 301. SO, SO, CLOSE.

It's a pleasure and a disappointment all at the same time, but I'll take it. One more pound and I can move on to the next goal of 270.

Hi! My name is Brandy, I'm on your Biggest Loser challenge! GO TEAM BLUE!! Congratulations on losing so much!

Hey Lindsey, you are SOOOO nearly there!!! You can do it!
And did you see, we're together in the Blue Team :willy_nilly:

Thanks guys!

Auburn and Bmohearn: LET'S GO BIG BLUE! I'm so excited that we're on a team together, I hope we can do well! I've already gotten 20 of my minutes out of the way and I'm going to do 20 more later.....I just hope I can snag that bonus and keep myself from being eliminated!

I was supposed to go to a friend's birthday this evening but it got canceled because one of her uncles died and she has to go to the funeral. I really wanted to see her and my other friends but I can make other arrangements before I leave and it's going to make the "No Junk Food" BLC bonus that much easier on me. I do feel terrible for her; apparently she was pretty close to this uncle and she has been planning this party since last spring. It seemed like it was going to be a pretty big thing, almost like one of those "Sweet Sixteen" MTV show parties.

I went online to the bookstore that's not affiliated with the school to see how much my books are going to be; they're going to be about 400 dollars all together even if I buy three of them used at that store...there's one I HAVE to buy from the university, and I still haven't gotten my refund from the school! I guess I'm going to have to run to relatives and beg for the money, which I'd hate to do, but at this rate it seems like I'm never going to get my refund.

YAY BLUE TEAM. I think you'll do great! And I'm sorry to hear about your friends uncle. Is this your first year at college? Well...I'll tell you... You'll never be able to afford ANYTHING. Its like... the law of college kids or something. ahaha.

Yeah, it's my first year. I've pretty much got that figured out, and the campus bookstore pretty much hikes up the prices on everything! I once had to pay $30 for an ink cartridge that I could have gotten from Walmart for about $25, and the same goes for little things like note cards and paper. I was shocked and I really didn't want to spend the money but I had a paper due the next day and an assignment I had to do through a CD-rom and print off for the professor.

Yeeah!

So just now I tried on some clothes that were given to me, and let's just say that in skirts? I am a 22! It's been a looong time since I could squeeze my big butt into a 22 anything. I also tried on this beautiful pink shirt that I really, really liked, but it's way too big and doesn't look right on me because it's so long. This makes me so excited- if I keep up the work soon I'll be in 18s and will be able to shop less in plus sizes, and that was the main reason why I started to work out and lose weight (...though, that's so vain).

Congratulations of being a smaller size!!! That is amazing. You will do so well, and get to your goal weight in no time! Keep up the great work!

Thanks!

So I figured out why I wasn't getting my refund...the university made a mistake with my last receipt that they sent me where they forgot to add some of my aid. In fact, I got a new receipt today in the mail....and that also means I have no clue when my refund will be here again. Ugh.

Atta girl :) those smaller sizes are such a nice feeling :) way to go...

Marshalls and TJ Maxx both carry 22's :) but you're getting closer to being able to shop th entire store :) YAY!!

though, that's so vain).

vanity was and continues to be my reason - don't knock it :) it's working :D

Way to go on the nifty fifty lost...

So now you're going to start te 10 percent at a time system?

Way to go :)

Hope you have a great reward planned fo rthat victory :)

Yeppppp! Somebody is getting a new Ipod if Marshall University ever coughs up her money! My great-grandmother gave me the money to pay for my books which means after I buy the Ipod I'm going to have money to let sit in my bank account for any other things I might need and that means- money for other rewards.

Oh, and my current ticker is gonna be sticking up until I get under 300, even if it ends up being 299.9 (I don't think my scale says to the .9, though), as a bit of a...celebratory thing.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to do 10 percent at a time, because I figure as the weight loss slows down, it'll be easier on me mentally if the actual number gets smaller even if it's the same percentage. The 50 pound goal was a bit hard on me and I thought that I'd never be able to achieve it. I figure if I do things this way now it's going to seem easier and therefore I'm going to be able to do things a lot faster!

Hi Lindsey,

Great job on reaching your 50lb goal! You must feel so pumped. 10% goals are a great way to go. That's what I do, I set goals to lose 10% of my body weight and I also like the 10 lb increments, i.e. getting into the 190's, the 180's, and so on. It doesn't seem so overwhelming when you look at it that way. You are doing so great. I'm glad you're on my team!

V.

Thanks, everybody!

I've really forsaken DDR as a workout...today I did it for a half-hour mostly playing light/basic (it's the same thing, but on different games it's called either light or basic) songs with the jumps on, and burned 351 calories according to the game itself. I was sweating like crazy and had to get off the pad for a few seconds for water and to breathe! But hey, a year ago if I did light/basic songs I didn't even understand HOW to go about doing them!

I use DDR for my work out too!!! I love it. I sweat so much, its unbelievable. I like to stick with it in winter because its hard to go outside. I'm so happy for you that you reached your 50 lb goal! Thats amazing, you are a true inspiration to everyone hoping to reach their goals. Keep up the great work!
