Lili's Diary

I think I need to do the same thing, lol!!! However, I don't have the benefits of soaking in Epsom salts... I don't have any.
Hi Risty; go to any drug store and ask for Epsom salts and they should have them. They are soooooo nice to soak in. Really good for our muscles too. I originally bought them for my son who works in construction and gets sore some days. But now I'm using them. lol
Hey Anna, sorry I've been scarce lately. I like the avatar. If I can drop another 20 or so pounds I have an Ottawa Senators jersey I can start wearing again. I love hockey jerseys. Good luck on the cleanse :)
Hi Cannon..no worries ... get here when you can. I'm happy that you post in my diary. A Senators jersey hey? Very cool. I just read in the paper today they have to step it up another notch or two because regular season is one thing, then playoffs is another thing...and then the Stanley Cup final is all that much more insane. I'm really going to enjoy the games because I really like Anaheim Ducks too.

Today I'm on day two of the cleanse and it's quite painless. No headaches, nothing. I really want to break my relationship with food because the last week I was spiralling downwards. My brother stayed at my house last weekend and he always brings a ton of chocolate, chips and other sin foods. He's normally sugar free, but can cheat occasionally. Whereas, I, on the other hand, cannot cheat "occasionally". Cheating is almost always the door to over-eating hell, for me. So this cleanse is a great way for me to mentally depart from that slippery slope. Lisa says day 4 brought more cravings, and EmmaLauren has actually gone 18 freaking DAYS on this thing, so I'm just taking this one day at a time.

Soak till Monday girl, then you and I have a date in the cyber rink. I'm gonna lob MSN rasberries at ya all game long while the Quacks peck away the Sens (what a messed-up sports name).

Be there or be square.

NO WEAK HOCKEY LINKS !!

Anna that's cool about the cleanse, I think that sounds very brave and really interesting and your reasons for trying it make a lot of sense. I'm going to be reading the thread because I want to know if you recommend it after the next couple days, I guess the whole not eating sounds dreadful, but that's awesome that you're trying the cleanse! Hope you still feel as well tomorrow.

glad to hear day 2 of yr cleanse is going well. i did a 3 day before and felt really energised! In fact I went hyper and drove some of my colleagues nuts lol:rotflmao:

i am sure u'll find good benefits end of the journey. hang on there!

Hi there - I just wanted to jump in and say hey - I see you around - you support alot of the same ppl I do and you always offer kind and caring thoughtful words so i just wanted to drop into your neck of the woods :):):)

Hey, I'm totally proud of you and I know exactly where you're coming from! Maybe I'll do it soon, too! I think I need it....
Best of luck to you on your journey!

I think cleansing can be very useful. I don't know, it kinda refreshes you, gives you a fresh start! That's what I think anyways.

Thanks for the support Sarah, Pinkdolly, Cinder, Curvie and Risty. I have to tell you though, I really detest the taste of those lemonaide drinks. It's never a good thing when the salt water in the a.m. and laxative tea at night taste BETTER than the lemonaide. LOL Oh well...gonna stick it out at least a few more days and see...

Back in 2005, I acted in a theatre play about a Finnish who immigrated to Canada and went mad. He built a huge wooden ship in the middle of the prairies in the hopes of sailing back to Finland. The story centers around his tragedy and the townsfolk's reaction to him. I acted the crazy Fin's brother's wife, a gruff but kind-hearted prairie woman. A student who's getting her master's degree in film, is making this story into a feature film. I auditioned for a part today. I hoped for the same part as I played in theatre, but they want me for the town busybody. This busbody is RANK and the scene I had to act (cold read) was a blast. I think the student liked it because she laughed and said she'd be calling me. It's either $100/day of shooting or deferred payment, meaning if the film ever makes money, actors get a cut. I'd take deferred because I'd do it for fun and a student needs $100/day more than I do. They hope to cram filming into 2 days, so it's a matter of learning my lines at home and they'll give us a couple workshops on film since so many of us have theatre backgrounds. So that's that. My little fun. I'm somewhat on the periphery of film/screenwriting/theatre in my city, because I find the business really small town here...and I'm far too proud for that silliness. Once I had a local film company read a screenplay I wrote and they just didn't get it. It's a story about a tough aboriginal biker chick who meets up with a mental patient who thinks he's got a bad case of spontaneous combustion. It's a road movie, simple, funny, lots of action. They wanted to be politically correct about how Indians were portrayed in my story and I'm telling them...folks, this is art, this is a slice of people's reality, not some tripe about a utopian world to shove down people's throats. I stay on the periphery in this here farm province. But this little film about the crazy Fin, really appeals to me. I like the story AND I like that a student is doing it. The students are fresh, creative and untainted by the who's who bullshit of this biz.

Back to weight loss and fitness. he he he Today I put on a pair of shorts since it's hot outside and I'm looking forward to being slim this summer.

LOL Okay, I'll remind you to never do that, my Finnish friend.
He immigrated to the USA before coming to Canada. He went mad cuz the USA government took his children away from him after his wife died. He was so filled with grief about his wife and kids, that he snapped. Poor guy. What's really awful is the ignorant townsfolk were scared of him and so they had him committed to a mental hospital. Can you imagine a mental hospital in the 1930s...I don't even want to think about it.

What a sad story! Good dramatic material none the less.
Times have fortunately changed for the better. :)

Hi Anna!!! Sounds like your having a nice weekend. Congrats on the movie roll. I didn't know you were an actress:) Very cool! I have a guy friend I work with and he was in Employee of the Month when I was filmed here. He even had a speaking part! It just sounds so fun to be in film!
I bought some shorts for the first time since I was like 5 and I wore them last night. I am super self conscience of them and kept pulling them down but in reality I don't think they look so bad:) I am looking forward to cleaning up some problem areas and maybe getting into a bikini:ekk: I am very excited. Your cleansing routine sounds interesting. I am glad it is going well and I will stay tuned to see how it pans out! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!

I love lemonade! and I love salty stuff! lol.... no wonder I turned hyper during the cleanse. Hey u'll enjoy it better each day. Or maybe have a spoon of syrup on standby when u drink it????

Well that's it for me on the cleanse. After 3 days I know I won't be able to hack the taste of that drink on day longer. It's too sweet with the maple syrup and I really hate that much sugar in one shot. Plus, I like eating. lol

So it's back to healthy eating and working out at the gym for me. But I'm glad I did it for 3 days. I feel, shall we say, thoroughly cleansed. tee hee

yahoo! u did it for 3 days! same as me! do u feel hyper?

i wonder if u'll have a different response to meat after this. I couldn't stand the taste of any meat for a few days after the cleanse lol. Took me a week to eat my fav meats again.

anyhow... hv a great one at the gym again!:)

How awesome! It would be so fun to be a part of something like that. You're an actress, that's so cool! I would never be able to do it but it must be an amazing creative outlet for you. Tell us how it goes, it sounds like a crazy environment. Legs coming out for summertime! You're so close to your goal! Did the cleanse have any sort of effect on your weight? That drink does sound grotesque. I just don't understand the maple syrup aspect of it, but I think that the benefits sound way interesting. You feel cleansed hahaha and that's worth it. Interesting...I hope you have a nice day tomorrow, don't shock your stomach! Once I came off my soft food diet, I had terrible stomach cramps for days.

Thank you Luke; that is very good advice which I will heed. I plan to drink orange juice in the day and eat home made vegetable soup and salad at supper.

I'm sure not an actress by any means. Just dabble in it, here and there. It is a super fun creative outlet. You meet the absolute funnest people. They are all friendly, expressive and love to laugh. When you think about it, acting is really just playing pretendsies...remember doing that, when we were little? I think you would quite like it, Luke. Especially if you like B'kowski. Man, did that guy know how to express. lol

I love going to plays! I had this great Renaissance class where my prof would give us extra credit for visiting the theatre or opera! Very cool :) haha, yes he certainly does know how to express himself! In a rough manner we'll say. :rotflmao:

OJ and veggie soup sounds good. Speaking of that, I've been thinking that since canned soups have so much salt and other junk in them, I've been wanting to try to make my own. It has to be kind of easy! I've stocked up on everything but I have yet to look for a recipe. My produce drawer is full to the brim! I've gotta make a homemade soup too, do you make yours in the slow-cooker/crock pot? And what do you throw in there...? Sorry I'm curious!
