Lili's Diary

I want to read this screen play :). That was a very nice gesture on taking the deferred payment. I'm sure the students can use the dough. I was in a lot of student films back when I was at Columbia College in Chicago getting my tv/film degree.

I've gotta make a homemade soup too, do you make yours in the slow-cooker/crock pot? And what do you throw in there...? Sorry I'm curious!
Today I actually bought it home made by the cafeteria on campus where I work. But I'll chop some carrots, celery, onion, zuchinni and garlic, then add some water & low sodium vegetable broth. To spruce it up, I add chopped up broiled bacon, barley or fried up ground beef.
*dances in Anna's diary wildly (and you know why)*

Oh alright, you guys won fair and square. At least I can proudly say Getzlaf is from my city...beauty of a goal! Tighten your skates for Wednesday night, Quacker.

If you have an email on your profile, Cannon, I can send it to you if you like. A tv/film degree must have been a lot of fun. I always tell my son he should go that route. It must be hard to find good paying jobs in that field though.

Well today I stayed within 1500 caloric range, had my OJ, soup and kraft dinner for supper. Yum! I didn't exercise because I had incredibly bad insomnia last night. Tonight I'm going to drink some more of that laxative tea because I honestly think it helps me sleep. Zzzzz Good night everyone.

I think it's odd that a laxative tea would help with sleeping, hehe. You think it's that particular tea? Have you tried any others like camomile (or however you spell it... my grandma would always say the italian name so I always have a hard time to pronounce that stupid tea in english.. lol).

lol thanks Julie and Pink ... sweet. I just noticed it says Wherever There R Snickers is your location, Pink. Ha ha ha that's funny.

Good morning! I hope you got some rest!!! My mom always put me and my brother to sleep with warm milk and honey... too this day it still works:) Hope you have a good day!

How long have you had insomnia? Because I think part of the reason I became overweight in the first place was because I could never get to sleep at night, causing me to feel wretched all day long. I am such a happier person now that I'm able to fall asleep like everyone else, but I guess your problem is staying asleep? It doesn't make sense because you're already a healthy person with normal work hours...I hope that the tea does help and you're able to sleep a good 8 hours straight. Thanks for your ingredient list, I think I might try a soup in a couple days. Nice job staying away from the macadamia nut cookies :) Hope you don't have to stay on liquids and soft foods for long.

Howdy girl!! I've missed ya! Seems you've been busy as always!! Writing some more stuff? and acting?, DANG! I feel so lazy now. HEHEHE The avatar is pretty cool!! You mentioned having insomnia do you get that often?? I hear Tylenol PM works pretty well. I like this tea called (sleepy Time) by Celestial Seasonings myself, it works really good for me. I hope you get the most needed rest, that can really screw up your body. ~here is a little relaxation and full body rub thrown your way~~~
~hugs~

Luke, I had insomnia for years until I started taking bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (plant-based pills chemically altered to most closely simulate what our ovaries produce) because I had a complete hysterectomy in 1994. So I've been sleeping real good since then. Just these past few weeks, work stress, professional development and my own lack of self confidence has caused me trouble. You know what? I went on solids today with no problemo. :) I'm glad cuz I love food. I love it. I love it. I do.

Hey you, welcome back. I read in your diary today that you had a great family visit and felt good about your eating pattern during their stay. That's fantastic! I'll give Tylenol PM a try. Sheesh between warm milk, tea and Tylenol, I should be sleeping!!! Dont' worry, I promise not to take all 3 at once. ha ha

Walked to work 2 miles.

Got my performance evaluation at work and it was far more glowing than warranted. What was really nice was my boss' boss, our Director, signs off on it and he wrote, "keep up the good work, I look forward to your participation in 07/08 activities when our regional structure will change due to retirements". This made me feel really respected because it's true we have a ton of folks in the mid 50s retiring in the next year to 3 years. I may be up for a promotion. If I eat healthy and exercise, I feel more confident.

Howdy Anna,
WOW A promotion that would be nice!!
I love your menue looks so balanced and delicious thats the
way to do it.Your doing awesome I hope you get over the insomnia
I have a touch of it I can't fall a sleep right away I toss and turn
1/2 the night away and I am not a sound sleeper I can hear a pen drop lol.
I always say I take awesome naps on my couch for 2 hours during the day
then the sleep I try to get at night.
Keep up the great work...Tammy

Well I hope you'll find something that works for ya! That or your sleeping will get better. I don't sleep very well period. Some weeks are worse than others for me. I never sleep through the night. I wake up all the time. The days when it's worse is when I keep waking up but have the hardest time to get back to sleep... *sigh* lol.... But, what can ya do?!

Wow that sounds very science fiction (I think it's just the 'chemically altered etc.)! Science is so exciting, I can't believe that the medicine was able to regulate your sleep cycle in such a way! I can't begin to imagine how traumatic a hysterectomy must be for the female body :( I'm happy that the loss of sleep is only a temporary thing, and it totally sounds as though you may get your sleep back soon! That eval basically says, 'so you rock, we're gonna give you more money, because you deserve it!' That's awesome :) Your confidence should be sky-high but I hope that your great eating and exercise makes you feel good soon. The reason I even wanted to try out the gym has much to do with your constant exercise output, because you push yourself and have such a great system that I wanted to do the same for myself. So thank you!

Oh yeah and Tylenol PM does work great, but when I told my doctor that I take it for sleep pretty often, she totally flipped out and lectured me. She said "Tylenol PM? You didn't have any pain, so why take tylenol? Take Benadryl, don't put more into your body than neccessary" So I stopped. She's this gorgeous Indian woman and she refused to give me any other sort of sleep medication. She just told me that until I start eating right and exercising daily she didn't want to hear it. Tough love, but she was right.

Anna, I'm glad you are very good about keeping up your diet and your exercise. You've noted that this gives you confidence. Well, keep going because I'm sure that if your boss is giving you "glowing" compliments it's because it's well earned. You just keep exercising until you believe it! Good things are coming your way!

Put the warm milk in the tea and have a bendryl chaser :)

only problem wit benedryl is it just makes me groggy and not actually sleepy...

Dr Mal orders up some good old fashioned red hot monkey love good for stress relief and for getting a good nights sleep.. Shall I find a nice sturdy young man and send him in your direction? :D

wooo hooo monkey love!!! I was going to suggest something different but I am with Mal!!!.... as long as no actual monkeys are present...that's just weird;) lol I am glad you had a good day and congrats on the potential promotion and glowing review! I am sure you earned every glowing word!!!
