Lift, Train, Fitness

pain is not so good this arvo but at least I was able to get some work done in the house this morning, and used my air brush for the first time on my model, it was much easier to use than expected, and only used a couple of eye droppers of paint which was then mixed with water so very economical.

First steps? Congratulations, Bub! And Tru, I hope you´ll still have time to have fun with your new toy :)

Terrain Pics

Link is to some more of my terrain building, it is amazing what can be achieved with foam and some paint

these are not the model I air brushed, just a side project while waiting for glue and paint to dry on other stuff.

sometimes I make them, sometimes purchased, depends on the type of tree. Cheap plastic foliage from junk shops can be re painted and flocked to look good and nothing like what they start as. I have some I got last week for $1 which I will repaint and use as water plants in a river, and the water will be 2 part clear resin with paint underneath to give the illusion of depth.

On my to do list is to make some pine trees out of coconut fibre, balsa wood flock and paint.

the majority of ground covering is flock (painted sawdust) which I produce myself, which is cheaper than buying it, painted foam shrubs, lichen bushes etc.

The foam is recycled packing material, which is usually an environmental problem to dispose of.

Wow, first steps, so wonderful and so fun to watch them get so much mastery over their body and finally get to explore. I loved that time so much!!

The videos were so, so helpful! Thanks so much for posting them. I loved the Stanford researcher talking about insulin resistance and how the Atkins diet won over the other diets because of the low carb aspect. I am pear shaped, and so is my husband, so we will probably really benefit from the extreme low carb. I also loved the first video because I have a fear of fats, and this helped a lot! I had swapped out some of the unhealthy foods for paleo foods at one point in our diet and have for the most part kept these diet changes, and really feel a lot better from doing that. So maybe the keto diet won't be such a hard transition. Anyway, thank you so much for all the help and for the great videos!

not very hungry today, made thick beef and vegetable soup in the crock pot, had a couple of bowls this arvo, added bonus, bub is happy to eat the broccoli that is in the soup :)

watching the smoke from fire on other side of town, 39 crews plus plane and helicopter waterbombing, fire tornadoes reported, evacuations etc. shouldn't be having these types of fires this early in spring. Photo does not show how much smoke there is or the red glow highlighting the darker smoke.

not sure if hubby will even be home tonight from work, he took his fire gear to work and is on call as relief crew.

apparently there are now 59 crews now fighting the fire with 4 more on their way, there are houses lost already. I have friends with cars packed ready to leave, wind has been bad. I hope the wind does not change in our direction because if it reaches the pine plantation they will have a hell of a time stopping it.

A crew is 1 fire fighting vehicle and the personnel to operate it.
