Lift, Train, Fitness

My eating has got a bit off track over the last couple of weeks, back on track today despite raging hunger during shark week.

I have been working on one of my craft projects today, but have under estimated how much expanding foam actually expands lol, I have the stuff everywhere.

Yesterday ended ok

Breakfast - Green salad
Lunch - small piece of thin sliced rib-eye with mushrooms, onion and zucchini
Dinner - Ground beef and fresh veg, spiced.

Today if I have time I will make some fresh tabbouleh, as I have a heap of parsley in the garden. Also on todays to do list is to build the tiered self watering garden boxes hubby purchased on the weekend to plan my herbs and spices in, the weather is too hot and dry for them in the main garden beds, the only stuff still living is parsley and some catnip lol

I like the sound of your dinner - I think I know what to have for breakfast now. My dad built a wall in the garden (pre-Trump!) to act as a screen for the neighbors. It´s made of basalt columns and faces south so it really heats up. With a simple dripping system stuff still grows like crazy on/along it. Which is not to say that´s what you should do (self watering tiered garden boxes sound extremely convenient) but just my early morning I-associate-everything-with-everything blathering.

"Diet and food are very personal. Professor Phillips explains how when drugs are tested the average response is taken and often, along with the people who respond well to a drug, there will also be people who get no effect at all. Diets work in the same way, certain diets work for certain people. People are adaptable and you can find individuals on each side of the scale – from plant only to diets that are high in meat – who are doing very well without any adverse effects. There is no single right way. It is only with the addition of modern food additives – a big one being sugar – that we begin to see problems."

This is something I often point out to members here, there is no single diet that works for everybody.

So far today for food

Breakfast - Nil, not hungry
Late Lunch - stir fried with no oil, 2 skinless chicken thighs, mushroom, zucchini, onion and broccoli seasoned with fresh garlic, paprika, turmeric and a little bit of black pepper.

Good Keto macro mix.

Evening meal likely to be late today when hubby is finished football training, but will likely be another chicken meal of some type.

Not feeling great, was in a car accident this morning, doc at the hospital said I have a torn muscle in my neck. eating is still on track but probably only because there is no junk in the house and I am in too much pain to make extra trips to the kitchen. doc said 6 weeks to heal and physio for rehab.

That sounds awful; what happened? Being in pain is bad enough on its own, but with a baby around? I just hope you feel better soon :grouphug:

I was driving my son to work and bub to childcare, when I was stopped waiting for traffic so I could turn off into the local shop where my son gets lunch to take to work. The road was a bit slippery after a sprinkle of rain. The ute behind me rather than stopping, thought he would drive around me on the shoulder of the road, however there was not enough space, he slammed on his brakes at that point, locking them up and slamming into the back of me. Basically whip-lashing my neck, no spinal problems which is the main thing and have been warned the pain will get a lot worse over the next couple of days as it swells before it starts to heal. Bub was fine, son was fine, my car is even ok, but my very solid towbar went through the radiator of the guy who hit me and his ute had to be towed.

Could have been worse, I could have been pushed into the oncoming traffic, there is CCTV footage from the local shop showing what happened.

What a lucky escape! So glad you & your son & Bub will be ok. There are so many impatient drivers out there!

got a laugh from this earlier this morning lol

sooo much pain today, at least with other times I have torn muscles it was at least partly my fault or at least my choice to be do the activity that caused the tear, this time I am in a lot of pain through no fault of my own. I HATE Dickhead Drivers !!!!!!!!

eating was so so today, pain makes eating bad foods tempting, time for bed, and hopefully i can get some sleep
