I was driving my son to work and bub to childcare, when I was stopped waiting for traffic so I could turn off into the local shop where my son gets lunch to take to work. The road was a bit slippery after a sprinkle of rain. The ute behind me rather than stopping, thought he would drive around me on the shoulder of the road, however there was not enough space, he slammed on his brakes at that point, locking them up and slamming into the back of me. Basically whip-lashing my neck, no spinal problems which is the main thing and have been warned the pain will get a lot worse over the next couple of days as it swells before it starts to heal. Bub was fine, son was fine, my car is even ok, but my very solid towbar went through the radiator of the guy who hit me and his ute had to be towed.
Could have been worse, I could have been pushed into the oncoming traffic, there is CCTV footage from the local shop showing what happened.
