What tracker do you use for your macros Tru? Great that you are getting back into competitions again, you're an absolute machine!

I use Cronometer for my tracking, it is much easier to personalise your targets than any other tracker I have used, and for those who are low carb/keto the ability to track net carbs is a good feature, and the ability to track amino acids to make sure my protein profile is complete.
 
Not much happening so far today, yesterday I did spend some time in the exercise bike however bub didn't like it so never finished session and did not record as exercise.

Training intensity has been ok considering, but the Arthritis pain in my hips prevented me from spending much time on stationary bike.

Weight lifted is obviously way down and not working on a full training program yet.
 
Low on calories today, forced myself to eat some chicken tonight, to hit protein targets

This Weeks averages, 99% targets hit, Low Sodium, Arginine and Vit C

Gym day today but feeling a little uncomfortable this morning, TOM is never fun but at least I don't have bad cramp and such that many other ladies suffer from.

Also need to go to a supplement store today to get some Arginine which I have been consistently under target on, I hate going in to these type of stores, they are filled with soooo many bullshit products and staff with no real knowledge, only knowledge of the claims made by manufacturers.


L-arginine acts as a vasodilator, opening (dilating) blood vessels this means for lifting you get a better blood flow to muscles, but for the general populace, it lowers blood pressure and for men it helps with erectile dysfunction.

It is a common ingredient in pre workout formula sold to bodyboulders looking for a pump, however many of the other ingredients in these products are useless or harmful and many contain substances on the banned drug list for sport.

It's mighty refreshing to see dedicated athletes* who actually know what they're doing. My BJJ time was positively frightening in that respect.
*I know you're more than "just" an athlete of course, but I feel you'd be just as dedicated to getting it right if you weren't.
 
as a distributor, I get a nice discount on Hobbytex product, just put in an order for myself, I am getting a set of 5 new paints (heritage colours) and some wall calenders I will be painting for xmas gifts. For my brother I need to find out what his current beer of choice is, so I can make a set of coasters.

It has been a busy day so far, bub has been super irritable, except when out shopping, got a some bulk local meat from the butcher, but now need to split it up, and vacuum seal it all before freezing.

Have not eaten yet today, bub has not given me the chance to cook but I am not hungry and I need this short time (she just went to sleep) to have a break before going out to get my son from work. He has almost accumulated enough driving hours to do his practical test.

If I don't stay busy, my mind goes to a very dark place, Training keeps me sane

Vomited this morning from the heat, Level 4 fire warnings today, this is extreme, normally the volunteer stations are not manned unless there is an actual fire, but with this level all volunteer stations are manned and a minimum of 2 trucks are sent to any call out. hubby is on the roster to man the station today, but due to work declined to be part of the strike team to help out with the big fires up north (5 day assignment)
 
What is happening in Australia right now, weather-wise is crazy. Stay safe, Tru.

your fire season hasn't started yet, hopefully it won't be as bad as some other years. most people in Queensland are not used to extreme fires, the humidity is usually too high. It is hard as a southerner to get some Queenslanders to understand that this is normal in summer for the southern states.

Finally worked hard enough yesterday to have very mild DOMS

The yellow fire (Advice Level) could become a problem, it is in the pine plantation, heading in our direction, the red fire (Emergency Warning) is in a mix of pine plantation and rough bush, the white fire is in rough world heritage forest.

The whole area is mostly pine plantation and native forest, the tip of the island on the map is Fraser Island.
 
I never cease to be grateful to have been born in an area relatively safe from natural disaster. No hurricanes, no wildfires, no volcanoes, no serious earthquakes, no catastrophic flooding or droughts. Well, so far, anyway; that last one may be changing.
 
BMI, Bodyfat % Obesity and health

I don't talk about my actual weight here often but I would like to highlight how ridiculous BMI is as a measure of obesity and health.

I weigh 105 kg (231 lb) that is a BMI of 42.5

however I have a bodyfat % of a little under 30% which is on the border between ideal and normal for a woman my age

This means my lean mass (everything that is not fat) has a weight of 75 kg (165 lb) so my muscle alone is obese at 30 BMI

This morning my Blood pressure was 125/77 on the border between ideal and low normal
My resting heart rate was 55 - Fit
my blood sugar was 5 mmol/L (just after waking) - Normal
