Lift, Train, Fitness

It has been a pretty relaxed Sunday, hubby is out doing controlled burns all day, spent time in the gym and little miss had fun, learning through imitation lol

She already seems like a chip off the not so old block. Glad you have had a a relaxed Sunday, Tru. Me too.

So far today exercise has been working on path and retaining wall, going to toss some corn in a pot to make some popcorn as a snack, before getting some housework done.

Spent time crafting today, lunch was chicken, beef tonight. Also had confirmation we should have our full butchered sheep carcass on Monday. Picked up some tea to replace my other sources of caffeine. It is locally grown and packaged in Queensland, there are not many Aussie owned and grown tea companies.

I guess having local tea is one of the benefits of living in a tropical/sub-tropical state. Tobacco grows here but seeing as nobody in the family smoke there is no point growing it. If however they were to legalise weed like it is in the ACT, then a crop may get planted lol, it is great for pain relief, hubby used to have a couple of small plants when we lived in Canberra and mum had some when the cancer got bad, our neighbour however got arrested for growing commercial quantities because his single plant was taller than his house.

I have no personal experience with it (nor with tobacco, for that matter) but I've had clients who swore by the relaxing and pain-relieving effects so I hope it gets easier to obtain.

Thanks. I quite like their ethics. I'll check out buying loose Nerada black tea for G. We don't use teabags any more since finding out they have plastic.

I am stuck with bags until I can buy a good teapot, might take a look around the op shops this weekend, there is one here that raises money for palliative care that may have what I am after.

We use the teacup infuser thingies for our individual tea as G likes black tea & I mostly drink peppermint. The Avanti Double-walled s/s teapots are excellent & keep your tea hot for ages. They have a sturdy infuser thingy in them too.

Almost time for bed, cooked a roast tonight, and spent some time planet watching (Jupiter and Saturn bright tonight) no pics, my camera is setup for taking pics of very small things close up, not stuff a long way away.

I need to prep some more Biltong tomorrow.

Wasn't the sky wonderful, last night? Did you have some roast mutton? Will you make some mutton biltong now or will use some other meat? So many questions :blush5:

it was beef, should be getting the mutton in the next couple of days, and yes I will see how mutton goes as Biltong

another ordinary day, little miss helped roast and grind the spices for the Biltong

we get our sheep for the freezer at 2pm tomorrow.

planted some aloe in a pot near next to the games shed, I am going to fill the whole narrow bed with potted herbs, it is a better position for them rather than near the house.

Fresh herbs are delightful. And having kids know their way around the kitchen is a great start.
