Lift, Train, Fitness

As a bit of an added note, we had friends over for our regular AD&D games session on Sunday arvo, turns out I am in the same class for sports psychology as one of our friends who is doing it as an elective as part of his Law degree, apparently he needed another psychology unit.

Small world! Are they classes with a physical presence or mostly online?

everything is still online, but hopefully the anatomy labs will be face to face after week 4

Those do sound like they´d be hard to do virtually :p At the same time: if it´s anything like the way we did them they involve lots of closeness, so...

Diet wise, it has been almost two weeks since my last accidental consumption of wheat and still counting, all food has been unprocessed and my skin is starting to look normal again, showing good progress before a checkup with my Doc on Wednesday.

It is frustrating that people mistake gluten free for wheat free, products can be gluten free, with gluten under a particular level not needing to be listed, this does not mean the product has no wheat in it, I cannot just grab gluten free products as they almost always have some hidden wheat in them.

Textbook and workbook arrived this arvo in the mail, although I have done anatomy in the past, it will be more in depth this semester, but at least I have some prior learning to give a boost in a subject with a very high fail rate. Most of the other students in the class are Paramedic students.

survived 2 hours of online anatomy lab at 8 am this morning, also today my new overnight hiking pack arrived, my old one while a bit lighter, had the internal frame parting company form the bag. My hiking camp stove also arrived.

it weighs in at under 200 grams and uses metho as the fuel, it can hold enough fuel to cook for 30 minutes, which is adequate for a basic camping meal or a cuppa. The pencil is for scale.

Not much happening here, spent part of the morning in the line outside QML which wound around the car park, and finally got inside to have some blood tests done. There are 3 pathology places in town but the others are are dedicated to Covid testing, there have been no cases here since the start of the year, and they were returned travelers in Quarantine. There are only 3 cases in the whole state, unlike Victoria. It was in the news where the QLD police found a Victorian hiding in the boot of a car attempting to sneak across the closed border.

I have pulled a shoulder of mutton out of the freezer to thaw for tonight's meal and this arvo I need to get some study done and plant some heritage tomato seeds. It is a mixed bag of 4 varieties, I am however unable to ID the tree tomato seeds from just looking at the seeds (they grow to 4m) and hope to be able to ID the seedlings later so they can be planted in an appropriate location the other 3 varieties will be able to go into the new wicking bed.

Now I´m curious about that Victorian: were they trying to get away from higher infection pressure or just wanting to visit people on the other side of the border? If the latter that would be exactly the kind of flouting of the rules that explains higher infection pressure....

Struggling with my appetite today, I want to eat everything in sight, it has bee a struggle to stick to foods I can safely eat but have not restricted quantity.

Hang in there, you can beat it, or resist anyway. I know that feeling all too well.
it has been a struggle to stick to foods I can safely eat but have not restricted quantity.
I have trouble doing that, I can and have binged on almost anything, even ice...

Hope you are feeling better by the time you see this post.

Isn't it interesting how the body can feel restricted even if it's just the kind and not the quantity of food you eat. When I eat well it makes me feel healthier very quickly but it also often makes me want to eat the things I know will make me feel like crap again...

After anatomy class this morning I have planted 5 seedling pots with heritage tomato seeds, I think there may be a giant tree tomato among those planted (the seed packet was 4 varieties in a winter mix), I will plant more of the seeds in a couple of weeks to stagger the growing season.

The variety is high yielding and produces large pinkish red fruits up to 700g in size. The plant has a really high yield and will produce over a really long period of time

2 additional non assessment tasks for sport and exercise psychology was given to us in tute today, the first is to watch a sporting match during the week from a psychology perspective, the second is to go for a run before the sun comes up to examine the psychological aspect of the task. I HATE RUNNING

That will be interesting Tru. Please tell us too :)
