You know for someone who keeps posting that she's had some bad days....You've managed to lose THIRTEEN POUNDS!!!! I think there must have been alot more good days than bad mixed in there. I think you're doing fantastic!!! And congratulations on the lifeguard job....if there will be some time to incorporate swimming into your schedule that will be some great exercise.

And how was the prom?

Scarlett my prom was fab thanks very much and i hope lifeguarding will be some good exercise too.

So today has been mixed, managed to avoid the chocolate cake which i was really pleased about and i did go for that long bike ride however i gave into the temptation of the garlic bread. However when before i would have stuffed myself with it, i had only a bit and then with my main meal i ate until i was full and didnt try and over eat...which i am pleased about! Hope evryone is having a good weekend!
 
Garlic bread is impossible to resist... :) Good for you for knowing when to say when... and not overeating.. .that's awesome!!!

you did a great job on your mom's b-day! It can really be hard sometimes but you did awesome! Moderation is the key! Keep up the great work!:)
 
Thanks for the comments everybody....so today was my first day at work and i felt that it was really sucessful...i managed to resist the chocolate bar calling my name at lunch and had an apple instead. I also drank soo much water mainly because at one of the posts i worked twice this afternoon, an hour in total, the temperature was 40.8C which is incredibly hot!!!

Hey everybody! Well today has been somewhat mixed. I have had a really sucessful eating day, especially as i have been feeling the need to munch all day, it could have easily turned into one of those days when i just don't stop eating. However i am disappointed about the fact i have not been able to exercise today. We are currently going through a heat wave in England and todays temp has been 32C! At the moment its too hot to do anything but lie around and drink lots of water so i havent been able to go out for my run.

How do you do it? I am new to this and I am sooo in need of support. I read your journal everyday and it keeps me motivated thank you soo much for posting!!!!! Good luck with the heat.
 
Hey everybody!! SO it is still hot!! But instead of sitting around on my bum all day i decided to walk to my orthodontist appointment in town, about a mile away, so that was a two mile walk today in total up and down a steep hill! Good news in a month my braces will be off!!! I am so excited, just in time for my friends birthday party, so i am gunna stun everybody, looking fab with straight teeth! So today i was proud of myself when in town, my mum bought my sister an ice cream and when she asked if i wanted one i said NO!

You're doing great Laura!!!! You are successfully resisting temptation...you are exercising despite the heat. You are conquering two of the most important elements. Congratulations!!!!
 
Ugh! Heat!!! I understand totally. Congratulations on resisting temptation. Isn't it a better feeling than any sugar high? :)
 
I see you've been getting the heat down there too, it was utterly disgusting in Scotland today, I was reduced to wearing shorts in public (shudder). I think I wound up having about 3 showers today and they still didn't do me much good. The best exercise for this weather has to be swimming!:D
 
Hey Laura, sorry I haven't been around for a while ... computer problems!!! You have been doing soooo well, especially with this heat. Keep up the great work, and remember, we don't have to be perfect all the time to get good results ;)

Hey everyone, sorry i have been awol for a bit! Have started working properly and i am loving it! Its nice cos most people that work there are around my age so it is lots of fun, plus there is higher guy to girl ration so i always have something nice to look at on poolside :) My food hasnt been great lately cos of my shifts but i havent been binging. I am making it my mission to start eating better while at work! I am also gunna take up some exercise classes to help me get fit cos i get to them for a reduced price at work! I am glad to hear from you again, Laura, I understand how difficult it is to keep up to date on this forum when you are busy. I have every afternoon free and I still struggle :rolleyes:

And shift work .... yuck :p . I start work at 5am. I have breakfast at 4:30am, lunch at 8:30ish, a snack around 10:30-11:30, then after work I have from 1pm to 8pm and I have to decide when to eat my main meal. Do I have it after delivery (I am normally very hungry), or do I have a snack and eat later, or do I have two smaller meals. I never seem to get it right :rolleyes:

Oh, and definitely take advantage of the half price workouts!! Gyms can be sooooo expensive ;)
