Twinmom you always have great advice. I must agree that writing your feelings down works wonderfully. Some people even suggest writing yourself a letter with your goals and aspirations. Establihs a timeframe and put the letter aside and either read it or mail it to yourself to read at a later date.
 
I think a few of us had one of those kinds of weekends. But we keep going and that is why we will reach our goals:)
 
Hey everyone, i haven't stopped in for a while been majorly busy with work experience and such and my eating has just gone out the window. I am here today to make a commitment to get right back on track! Hope everyone is ok and am off to check on your diaries!
 
Where did you do your work experience? Did you enjoy it?

It is difficult when you are busy, to find time to think and plan your food and exercise. But I know that you can get right back on track. Have you joined the July 10lb club? It may be just the motivation you need ;)
 
Hey everybody, I'm back!! Over the last few days i haven't posted as i have been trying to regain my focus and get back on track. Mainly get back to where i was before my eating went crazy. Well i am glad to say not only am i back on track i have lost 2lbs. This brings me now to 144lbs and 4lbs away from my next mini goal of 140lbs. My eating has been a lot better and next week i begin my lifeguard training so i will be doing plenty of exercise which has been slightly lacking this week. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

And lifeguard training, is that for a career or extra curricular?
 
The lifeguarding is for a weekend job, there is a big sports centre near where i live and they pay really well. Also my school has just built a new sports centre and as my friend (who is doing the course with me) and i are favourites of the sports teacher, she says that when we are qualified we can work at the school pool at weekends. Food isnt as good as last week today but thats cos doing the exercise has made me more hungry and i have been eating more, but i guess im burning it off so thats ok. Hope everyones having a good day!
 
Ooooh, money, money, money!! I'm a big fan of getting extra money when you can, and if you can enjoy yourself at the same time ... so much the better ;)
 
Hey everone. I passed my lifeguarding test wooo!! I know start my first day of my job on monday! I have a confession to make... i have eaten so badly over the last few days i don't even wanna get on the scale to see how much it has gone up. I have written abut my sabotaging complex before and it has fully kicked in again, everytime i get close to a goal i end up getting complacent and giving in to the chocolate.. and before i know it ive put on half the weight i have lost.

So... when looking in the mirror today, i realised i don't want to be fat, i want to be toned and thin and be able to wear a bikini on holiday, so i am starting afresh. I am looking on tommorow as a new start, although i did make an effort to start tonight going for a run this evening instead of sitting around outside.

My new plan is:
  • To stop snacking meaninglessly and badly
  • To not eat just for the sake of it
  • To go for a run at least once a day
  • When ever i can at work to go swimming (A perk of the job is i can use the pool for free)
  • To drink lots of water (At least five of my water bottles)

I am going on holiday to Corsica in 2 weeks and i am determined to reach 10 stone. Before my bad eating i was only 4lbs away so i think this is an achievable goal. As i will be working lots over the next couple of weeks hopefully i will be able to not snack when bored as i will be working and i cant take food to the poolside. One downside of working is i might not be able to fit in a run like on monday but i am going to do some extra exercise tommorow to make up for it.

I just looked up Corsica online and it sounds like a beautiful place:

But I digress. So you have two weeks. Short term goals are great. We can do anything for two weeks. You are already exercising pretty much every day. Keep up the good work! You can reach your goal.
 
Thanks for the motivation, that is always something i lack when i am dieting...thats why this time round i am determined to post more to keep my spirits up lol! I am really excited about Corsica, my family and I are big travellers, we are always trying to visit new places!
 
Good thinking Laura. I find that posting here can take up all afternoon (which to me is like my evening as I usually SHOULD go to bed around 8pm) so I eat a main meal at about 2pm, then the rest of the day flies by. It really helps stop the snacking!!!

Congrats on the lifeguard job. I presume being Britain it is an indoor pool so no tan :( Correct me if I'm wrong :p

Keep up the good work, and remember, this big push is just for 2 weeks ... you can do it!! :)
 
Yes MRs Bear it is an indoor pool. I was offered the opportunity of working at a LIDO but it would only be open until September and i need the money, so i need something all year round... so indoors for me. I am feeling very positive this morning, i resisted temptation at breakfast and also went for a run. It is my mum's birthday today, so there is going to be a lot of temptation around, there is chocolate cake at lunch and we are going out for dinner. I am determined to resist the cake... i am not really that big of a cake fan and this evening i am determined to not have the garlic bread my family will order and just have my spaghetti and tomato sauce :) We will be walking to and from the restaurant, which is about a mile in total so i will burn off some calories and as it is such a nice day i might try and convince my dad to go on a bike ride with me!
