Kureransu's Log.

ok sat here. i'll post more about my reunion come monday. but as far as workout goes, i did an intense hours long strength training, followed by 3 miles on the track! i actually ran the track. i still hate it but i at least know i can manage it in the winter time.

Hope you're enjoying your reunion, and knocking their socks off with your amazing transformation!

As for 200 vs 225 - I say don't set a hard target at this point. As you progress, see how you look and feel. Maybe when you get to 225 you will look at yourself and say "awesome - this is what I want to look like". Maybe you'll get there and decide you want to go further. Don't let anyone tell you what you should weigh, or how you should look. That's totally up to you.

You look great now. You'll look phenomenal in 30 more pounds. Get there and then re-assess.

Hey you! Hope your all rested up from your reunion. What i heard from you so far about it, it sounded like it was a helluva good time haha. Did you get any more "ooh your strong" comments? lol

Monday.

Where to start. this weekend has been surreal. Seeing all those face, most who've i not seen in 10 years. I can't believe how many names i remembered and how so many look exactly the same. Of course there were a few who gained weight, and some who gained A LOT of weight to the point where i didn't recognize them one bit. Then there were a couple of us who went the opposite way and it was nice to see and hear reactions. The biggest reactions were from people who had the same major as me in high school, because we saw each other the most. I got all types of compliments, from the stunned you look really good! to the "wow, clarence is buff" lol. i even have a couple people request to feel my arms lol. Obviously a lot of questions and such. they guys deemed me their hero, and that they still can't believe even though they see my facebook updates, which are pretty much all my workouts. So it was nice indeed. i was flirted with a couple times, which was nice as well. so good times indeed. As far as today goes I changed up. i a doing splits this week and next at least. today was chest and back. I was so worn out. man, i was super setting and it was sooo hard. man oh many. the weight got heavy fast lol. after i finished that. i decided to retire the electronic cardio equipment for a couple week and grit my teeth on the track. so hit the track and did 3 miles, in 30 min, which i am so proud off. i am hoping to run 15 miles this week. so there you ahve it. my weekend in a nutshell. i hope everyone had a blast too. maybe i'll post a pic of what i wore to the formal dinner...

Well arent u just looking all snazzy Clarence! Good pick going with that shade of purple. You look great :) No wonder you were being flirted with haha ;) lol

Looking sharp, my man.

No surprise that you got all those compliments.

There is no way I could pull off that colour, but you wear it really well.

i realized i forgot to mention i got in 2 hours of tennis on sunday. i also got in about 2.5 hours today good times. tomorrow i will attempt another 3 mile run after weights should be fun.

tuesday

ok so last night was 2.5 hours of tennis, and my main tennis bud is in Belize this week, so i won't be playing as much as i usually do. we got in 4.5 hours so its all good i think i have like 2 more session with my reserves. Today was bis and tris and another 3 mile run whooooo. running is rather relaxing once you get past the first half mile of adjustment! I have a new teacher's orientation for today after work, then i'm taking a friend out for a bite, should bea n enjoyable evening to say the least. how is everyone doing today?

You're a runner too!! Im so bummed that i havent been able to run very much this summer. i keep getting shin splints. I think i'm just going to have to give in and have my feet measured so i can get proper shoes. Kind of sucks because ive been saving my money for other things :icon_bs:

Anyway thanks for stopping by my journal and for your encouraging words :)

Wednesday

First:

Thanks Alta for the compliments! you are an amazing person and its always a pleasure and honor to see you here in my journal! your positive energy is always welcome.

so after today i can can say i haven't expeirence this much soreness in a long time. splits are the devil lol!

So today... LEG DAY!! i did legs legs legs. squats, lunges, extensions, curls, abductor, and the opposite one lol. oh yeah i did do a couple sets of box jumps for old time sake! it was cool i did 2 sets of 10 and didn't get tired during the set! i used to get to five and pause, 2 more pause 1, 1, 1 lol. now it was 10 bam, 10 bam! Squats i hit a new record. i did 225x10 twice, then went to 315x10, then went to 405x2!!!!! i was soo proud of myself!!!! and this was straight squat no smith machine or anything, although that bar was pressing into my traps HARD lol. afterward i ran my 3 miles w/ spaghetti legs and manage to finish in 28 min! i even had a couple of people run with me a few laps and one lady did a mile with me. good times indeed, everyone is rooting me on.

i came to a realization there today. I was talking to one of the long time regulars and he was congratulating on hitting 405 on the squat. and i told him i'm just trying to be like you guys. he says, "man, you ARE one of us. there is nothing here we do that you can't do and you can do somethings better than us already. even though you have a little more weight to lose, you already have a body builder's build. you passed man. you're one of us. look how many people look up to you and ask YOU questions, i remember when it was you with all the questions. so yeah man you don't have to try and be like us, you're as hardcore as they come." That was really cool to hear. they've been doing this for years, but i guess you don't have to do it for years to be hardcore, just a hard worker. lol it is nice to feel like a role model. there's a guy there who is about 350, and even though he's about 12 years older, he comes to me and asks me how i would do just about everything, because he feels since i came from where he is at, obviously i know what i'm doing. Everyone wants to run or workout with me and its a nice feeling i tell you. its really fun. And people wonder how i get up at 4 am to hit the gym. its easy when you know are going to workout with a ton of wonderful, dedicated people.

how is everyone doing!

That's all absolutely wonderful!!! You should be proud of yourself buddy, your progress is amazing and you work so hard to be where you are at and to reach your goals that you have no reason to not be proud.

That guy at the gym is right....even when i met you on here you were "one of them" and its a great thing cuz u have the experience and knowledge to be able to help me or anyone else out with pretty much whatever they want when it comes to weight loss and keeping motivated. And...best of all....i know that i will get a straight to the point answer from ya which is exactly what i need.

You're almost there! Keep it up! :)

You're so handsome in that picture!! Definitely looking snappy, you'll be getting all the ladies ;)

And it's great that you have those sort of people at your gym!! I have a couple at mine that are dedicated and bodybuilder types who know what they're on about, but I guess being a girl (I know its not a good excuse!) I'm too shy to talk to them still :p Eventually I will!

Congratz on the 405!! That's AMAZING! Milk it for all it's worth because you EARNED it baby!!

Thanks for stopping by my diary! You're an inspiration, you've done so well and theres no doubt you'll meet all your goals too!!

Awesome, man, simply awesome.

I admit I don't know how you do it. If I did a fraction of your daily workout they'd be taking me to the hospital. :)

It is so cool that you have gone from the 'new guy', all full of questions and pestering the die-hard regulars, to being one of those die-hards yourself.
I could use some people like that where I work out. Tonight I was the only person in there. And I am the only person I have ever seen using the rack and doing squats.

You are doing such a fantastic job at redesigning yourself. It gives me hope that I might do something similar someday.

Kudos, my friend, and keep being an inspiration.

Thursday

Thanks so much for the kind words guys. i do appreciate it. you guys inspire me by showing and working it hard to. its what keeps me going.

Today was chest and back again. i am REALLY sore from legs, and i am sore all over from running. my goal of 15 miles is soooo close, as i ran another 3 miles at the gym today on the dreaded track, butting me at 12 for the week. its crazy how much running works everything. my butt hurts lol. because i always see it in cord's diary i'll post the workout today :) fyi, i was doing supersets, which is i would do a chest exercise, then go straight to a back exercise without rest since i am technically resting the muscles for say my back while i'm doing my chest. it wears you down fast.

pull-ups- 2x10, 1x8, then 1x5 for fun when i was all done.
flat BB bench, 3x10 185
seated rows 3x10 140
incline bb becnch 3x10 165
t-bar rows 3x10 135
decline bench 3x10 205

3 mile run

if didn't know decline is the easier bench, and incline is the hardest, hence the 20 lb difference for each bench.

so how is everyone doing?

Thanks for your encouraging words-yesterday was such a long and trying day that i didn't have the energy or the inclination to update my journal, or get a work out in for that matter. but your post totally cheered me up! thanks for stopping by!
