Kureransu's Log.

hey everyone! sorry it took so long to post. i have had the reply window open for ever, but i got a couple of deadlines coming up and we had a couple of meetings to make sure everyone knew what needed to be done by who by when...if that makes any sense. then lunch came. now i am back. Anyway. 65 min of elliptical per usual. Today i looked at myself and actually feel like i am getting smaller! its a good feeling to have because i feel i look mostly the same except my clothes are too big. here's to losing weight! I talked to the other guy who hangs around my weight today. i told him not to settle for 250 because he is 6 foot 2. i told him based on your shoulders, you are not a big guy, just a fat guy who is getting smaller fast (don't worry, no offense was taken or implied there) i told him when he hits 250 and doesn't like what he sees, he'll understand. he is small, and right now the fat is just kinda hanging off of him likes its melting. obviously since he lost 100lbs in 4 months he has a ton of loose skin, which is his biggest complaint. I told him the way he lost he has to do it in two steps. one for the lost and the other to tighten skin. i also told him he needs to find a way to work on his legs, because he never does. always chest. i like that he listen to me, because the mroe he loses, the more i feel i have to lose to keep up with him, because he the fat just pours off of him. when i met him he was 11 lbs heabier, and now he is the same weight. he lost 101 in the same time i lost 41, which is amazing. and you can definately see it. i try to ride him to keep him from settling for ok and go for the best. he ahs this assumption that losing weight means being skinny, which is what he doesn't want. i told him to turn some of that excess into muscle and he''ll be fine. i hope he listens. i am glad he started hitting the weights now as he was all cardio with 1000 crunches in between.

anyway, relly, thanks for the post, i love seeing people post on here. gives me a reason to come back. i know a lot of people view, but its nice to hear some feedback every so often. have a great day everyone.

'just a fat guy who is getting smaller' hahaha...i like that!!

thats why i said i want you as my personal trainer!!! you could motivate me but take no BS.........like 'suck it up princess' i need that on a t-shirt!! :)

time for a new car...

well my car overheated and died last night, so its in the shop now, i wasn't able to hit the gym becasue of this. good thing i got some tennis in yesterday to balance it.... so annoyed with that car, i am looking this weekend for a new one. something form the 2000s and such.. sigh.. anyway here i am at work, have no idea how i am getting home yet, but i'll figure it out..

feeling better.

ok i feel better now. turns out the wiring just went bad on the fan. the fix was less than a hundred bucks, it also really got me looking at cars, and i am excitged that i may be getting a newer one this weekend! also, i was going to hit the gym ,but it is too lovely outside, so i am going to play tennis to make up for the missed cardio. i was also given the go ahead to work from home tomorrow so i can have a 3 day weekend! so exciting. always a silver lining i say.

Good Friday indeed.

well, here we are on good friday. I stayed up soooooooooo late because i didn't ahve to go intoday, but i forgot i get up early for gym time not work. so i still got up after about 2 hours of sleep and hit the gym. Today i di circuit with emphasis on legs. i also did 3 circuits instead of two, just to see if i could and because i missed yesterday (even though i played tennis yesterday for 2 hours).
that third circuit kicked my butt. i was moving so slow at theatg point. one of the exercises was the step up, but towards the end of the third set i wasn't getting my feet high enough to make it on the step, it was bad, but felt so good! lol. Tennis was great yesterday, it was perfect, partly cloudy adn 60 degrees, couldn't ask for a better tennis day. well i am off to sleep, and then I did to do somwe work and get it out the way so i can enjoy my weekend. i'll be on all day, so feel free to reply!

Bummer about the car! I am not really into buying a new car like i use to be... mainly just because i dont want a car payment haha.... id like to run this car into the ground!!! lol

anyways, you better start getting more sleep mr!!!!! sleep is essential to weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehe

anyways, is the back feeling good these days? Whats new with ya?

I am certainly looking forward to easter

hi marie! i've been well. It no worry about the car it was an easy fix. i still plan to look for a new one this weekend. i just need to check my funds and make sure i have enough to support it. Hah. I don't want a monthly payment as well with the economy the way it is. the last thing i want to be stuck with is a bill for a car i have no where of real relevance to go in. well besides the gym. Anyway, the bakc i excellent, thanks for asking. i haven't had any problems with it in quite a long time. i actually just woke up since i stayed up sooo late , then went to the gym 4 hours later, went grocery shopping, then put a load in the was and went back to sleep to make up for the 3 hours i got this morning. i just hooked everything up to work form home i got a couple files i need to get out and i want them done before 4 o'clock. talk to you soon!

So how's the easter weekend working out for you? First time since I've started that I've been struggling a bit, but hey, don't want to disapooint the easter bunny!

standing still!

so this wekend i totally induldge in whatever i wanted, i figured it was easter weekend. i would eat a lot because of it so i got all my cravings out the way., brownies, cake, ham the works. i even ordered a bacon burger from the restaurant on sat. i did play tennis on sat and sunday. i tried swimming on sunday, but i did like 4 laps and was done! hit the hot tubs and it felt good. so after that all was said and done. i weight the same as last week. this makes me happy. this week my should lose tons, because of the heavy eating form last week. wish me luck. oh and feenix, weekend was fine, no complaints. how was yours? today i did my circuit in the morning. and tennis this afternoon given it doesn't rain. see you guys later!

damn i wish i had a tennis buddy here in PA.... i LOVE tennis. bummer bummer

well to the gym again tonight.... hopefully i was as lucky and didnt gain any weight eiether hehehe

Tuesday!

i thought i replied to you melissa, but i guess i didn't. anyway i hope your weekend was awesome as well. i realize that on cardio days i may need to bring an extra shirt if i choose to go back home after work. my shirt was soooo soaked today after cardio it looked like i feel in a pool with the exception of my stomach. i mean shoulders sides chest back dripping wet. and i had to go outside like that... nasty... i guess i put in a good workout though, the machine says i burn between 950-975 calories a session, which isn't too bad. anyway that's all i have to report today thus far, i'll check other threads and reply accordingly

One of the reasons I hate exercise. Sweating. I hate sweating so much. Unless it's the type that makes you feel all macho and manly as opposed to smelly and stinky.

Hows the motivation going these days? Few of us feeling the dip after the first week. Impressed with your dedication to working out. Seems that you really really enjoy it.

wednesday!

happy day for me. i got a newer car! its nice to be able to trust your car now!!! anyway. feenix, the motivation is going strong. Its not that i reaaly really enjoy it. its just a job for me. treat it no different than your job and take ti just as seriously, and you will ahev no problem doing it everyday. todays circuit was focused on chest, and it was quite challenging. i and cool with doing the 3 circuits now. anyway. i am going to go on the 3 o'clock hackey sack break here at work. i'll post more later.

ohhhhh clarence... how i have missed you so.

You crack me up. I actually.. ( for once) disagree with you on the "treating it like a job". I guess that only works if you really enjoy going to work. I dont like the thought though of feeling like its a chore or I HAVE to go. When that happens i cut corners on my work outs and dont have a good time.

I do it because i LOVE the feeling after i am done. I do it because it FEEELS good. I do it because ....

lets face it. i wanna be a smoking hot babe and thats the only way to get there!!!!

anyways, jesus... 900 some calories... what resistence and speed etc are you on there???? are for how freakin long!!!!

WHOOOOOOA:svengo:

i may have been dead if that were me

to me a chore is anything that you can not do leisurely without extreme consequence, forcing you to do it a set amount. as far as i'm concerned you do HAVE to go to the gym if you want to tone and lose. we can sugar coat it anyway we want, but i believe that to be truth.

Here is the thing. I think you are looking at it from the wrong way. Loving your job is a bonus. What i was saying. no matter how much you don't feel like going to work, you get up and go. and once you get there, you do your job, and in most cases, especially commission sales, you put on your face and do the best you can to make money for yourself. there will be days where you are out of it and don't do quite as well, but because you need to make money and keep this job, you try to make up for it another day. When it comes to work, even with dream jobs, there are days where you just don't feel like doing it. it happens, but you still get out there. The paycheck is your payoff for all your hard work, and you get to be financially stable (in most cases).

now when it comes to working out, its pretty darn similar. Working out IS a chore to me, because we go out our way to make sure it happens. we push our body to limits unknown to us, to make it stronger. its tough love. its not fun, its HARD WORK. you can call it fun if you want, but going to the gym is never fun for me. its a job. the pay off in this case is how you feel afterwards, and how your body reacts to the "tough love" you gave it. There are days where i (yes me the guy who goes six days a week
) do not feel like getting up and going. I go anyway. i slack off by maybe using lighter weights or so slower on the elliptical. but i try to make up for it either on the tennis court, ddr, or the next day. To me its the same concept.

but in both cases, you can do things to make either more enjoyable, while bearing through, you just need to figure out what works for you.

second part or melissa's post in included in..Thrusday!

OK boys and girls. today's work out was 65 min on the elliptical. but before i get into that, i will say about about 1.25 hours of tennis in last night. its gorgeous the rest of this week in michigan. today is 63 and sunny, while tomorrow and sat are 69 and sunny. we are a humid state, so these temps translate as a bit warmer with humidity included. tennis was good. nice additional workout. that's 3 times already this week. plan on playing tomorrow and sat as well.

ok back to today's workout. I was asked what resistance, speed and how long but one of my dearest, most rabid, fans (she knows who she is) so now a days, i hit it for 65 min (still) a resistance of 10, and today i did 8.6 miles. which burned exactly 975 calories according to the machine. add that to the fact that i am still burning extra from yesterdays 1 hour circuit training (weights) and i'll easily have over 1000 extra calories burned today! whooo! well that seems to be it for me for now. chat you guys laters.
