Kristi's Diary

Hi there! Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I really appreciate you taking the time to post in my journal! It's nice to see someone around here who is similar in age/goals. Good on you for wanting to be health conscious in high school...I know how hard it is. I was up to 145 2 summers ago and lost 15 pounds fairly quickly. Since then I've been hovering around 130...so I understand what it's like to get frustrated. I too was worried about going to college and going bonkers with my weight...thankfully that hasn't happened YET...it's tough though....when all the sweets are just begging for you to eat them.

I used to play soccer too (an interestingly enough sing!) up until my sophomore year in high school. It's interesting...I always weighed more the entire time I played soccer. I played since about third grade...and until I quit I always had extra weight on me. Not that I'm saying soccer is what made me retain the weight, it's just interesting, I think. Once I really started to emphasize the running, the weight came off easily.

By the way...I can't believe you've had a boyfriend for three years! That's incredible...kudos to you for that one. :) Keep up the great work! Seems we're quite similar so I'll look forward to hearing about your progress!

Ugggggh...

Mom found out about me skipping. It's a big mess because I told her that I had been marked absent in one class but was really there (because they just call and leave a universal message saying "your student missed one or more periods of school...") but I told the attendance lady that I had a migraine and stayed home. So my mom called and told her that I had been marked absent by mistake, and the attendance lady said that I was marked absent all day.

So my mom called, yelling about how I made her look stupid and she cant trust me, and why would I jeopardize my chance to get in at Wittenberg.

I shouldnt have done it, I know. But god damnit, I skipped school ONE DAY. One fricking day. She doesnt trust me because I lied to her about skipping one day of school? I could be out partying, drinking, doing drugs, sneaking out....but NO. I don't do that. And when most people are getting in trouble for those kind of things, I get in trouble for skipping a day of school, and my mom all of a sudden doesnt trust me. What a joke.

and in my whole high school career I have probably missed 3 days unexcused. If I don't get into Witt because of that, then I guess more power to my mom. But I guarantee that it will have NOTHING to do with that.

I'm so pissed...

Laney...

During soccer season I gained back like 10 pounds of what I lost. It was after soccer when I had time to go to the gym and do the stairmaster, eliptical, treadmill, etc. when I lost weight. The games are great exercise, but practices aren't enough, and that on top of poor food choices made me gain again. So don't feel like you're the only one...

I have a problem...I can't get motivated to exercise. Period. I just come home and sleep. I'm doing well with food, but I can't get off my butt and do some fitness. I really need a gym...I miss the stairmaster. :( Not really...but you know what I mean. :)

Doing the Holiday Challenge...

I'm hoping this will get me motivated. I certainly feel motivated right now! I'm starting it a little bit late though, so I have to do 1 hour and 15 minutes of exercise tomorrow and Friday in order to make the 3 hours of exercise portion. I had already been keeping a journal, starting on Monday, so I got that covered! The only problem is that my scale sucks! It's so old, and isn't digital, so my weigh-ins will be rough estimates. Oh well...

My goal is to get down to 125. I can do it! :)

I spoke too soon! lol

I didn't sign up in time. So no more Christmas challenge.

However...

I signed up for a November challenge. I need to lose 7 pounds by November 30th!

Oops! Ya got caught skipping eh? I did that a few times in high school, mainly my senior year. Once my friends and I all skipped the same day and drove to Lake Mich and spent the day at the beach. I think we called in for each other, pretending to be our mothers. I don't think one unexcused absence will ruin your chances of getting into Wittenberg. ;) :iagree: your mom should be happy you're not out partying and getting into trouble.

As to the exercise--tell yourself it's not an option--it's mandatory--like homework and going to school. ;)

I'm thinking about doing long distance track :ack2: so that will help make it mandatory...but that isn't until Spring. I have to be my own coach until then I suppose.

AHH!!

I've been working on a project since 3, and I am not even close to finishing!! Oops...I probably shouldn't have put it off for the two months I've had the assignment.

Today was a great food day! haha I had...

Blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese for breakfast
A banana for a snack
LeanCuisine ravioli with pineapple for lunch
Scrambled eggs with 2 slices of turkey bacon, pineapple, and veggie chips for dinner!

Didn't have enough time to go running, however. :/ Oh well...tomorrow. ha

So I am going to my grandmother's assisted living home thing for a veterans supper thing. lol so descriptive...but yeah, Im kind of happy because I haven't seen her in a while, and I'm in a christmasy happy mood for some reason.

I ran yesterday! For almost half an hour. My legs aren't even sore today. I guess that is probably because of soccer. I'm excited to start seeing the results!

Haven't done excellent today. Cookies and such were too tempting at the veterans day celebration. Oh well...

tortellini is for dinner! mmm...

I am going to work so hard this week to lose around 5 pounds. I know that may not be the healthiest thing, but I really wanna look good for my boyfriend's arrival. :)

Muchas gracias!

Okay...I'm going to go out on a limp and outline my ENTIRE WEEK'S worth of meals. Here it goes...

Monday, November 12th
Breakfast-1 cup of rice chex (no milk)
Snack-1 cup of veggie chips
Lunch-Chicken noodle soup
Dinner-1 serving of whatever mom makes :)

Tuesday, November 13th
Breakfast-1 packet of cinnamon roll oatmeal
Snack-an apple
Lunch-3/4 of a lean cuisine pizza
Dinner-same as Monday

Wednesday, November 14th
Breakfast-1 cup of cheerios
Snack-String cheese and 4 crackers
Lunch-peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Dinner-...

Okay....I'm going to stop there because I've just made a decision that I will go shopping soon, and I will have other things to eat to add some variety. 3 days though...woo.

Tony...I was actually considering that as soon as I was done working out. Seeing that I would like to focus on my butt area, I think I am going to start doing some dead lifts, weighted lunges, and possibly even squats if I am really motivated. Could I do this every other day or is that too much?

So you have weights? Depending on the applied stimulus will determine the needed rest. Bodyweight could easily be a 2-1 schedule. 2 on 1 off.

Muchas gracias!

I hope your getting some vegies in there at Dinner! They are generally low cal so you can have a massive amount! I like putting spices on mine, mexican chilli powder is yum on them - maybe thats just me though lol.

Just for you Austin....I had slices of green peppers at lunch! :)

I've stuck to this mostly, except I had to have milk with the cereal this morning. It was killing me. I didn't have the snack though. So I guess I really didn't stay with my plan. I made changes to everything...haha but they weren't terrible changes, so that's all I care about.

My mom has swiss steak in the slow cooker, so I think stew might be for dinner? I dunno...

okaaay mom...I'm getting kiiinda hungry.

I went running! I added an extra 1/2 mile to Saturday's course, and I still ran it in the same time.

Runnings great isn't it! I used to run HEAPS! I'd get back home and be like "whoa I just ran 5km!". Its the best feeling ever isn't it?

Gah I hate it when i have to wait for food, at home, in restaurants, but then again i shouldn't complain cause I never actually have to cook it!

Thats so weird that your having dinner, its only 10am in the morning here!
