Great job on the running! Running is awesome, especially when you get into it and start challenging yourself to go longer. I haven't ran for a few days because I am working on getting over a cold. I hate being sick!!! It can totally mess up your routine. Oh well tho, it could have been a lot worse.
Keep up on the good work :)

Austin...You are CRAZY! I absolutely hate running! haha Okay well I don't hate it because it gets me skinnier, but my gooosh it's exhausting.

I always get confused when I read your diary. Especially when I see that you are so close to summer! My summer just ended ! :( Well, like 3 months ago.

Sammy...sorry to here about your running routine. You seem like a "quick to recover" kind of guy though, so I'm sure you'll be able to get back into the swing of things easily!

Tyly...Hiiiiii again! I definitely remember you from before. I've kind of gone and come back a couple of times, too! Glad to hear from you again! Thanks for the compliments, too! I'm going to head to your diary as soon as I enter this reply!

Ooookay...dinner was worth the wait. Green bean casserole! :drool5: Nothing hits the spot like green bean casserole. My mom made a half portion too so I wasn't tempted to eat loads of it.

So today has really been a great day! On top of running, staying within my caloric range, and having one of my favorite meals for dinner...I managed to do ALL of my pre-calc homework! That's very unusual for me! haha

Aye! I forgot one thing though...my car wouldn't start this morning. Well, actually it wouldn't even let me twist the key in the ignition. I generally have to twist the wheel and jiggle the key, but today...nothing. Plus, when I pulled my key out to try again, my steering wheel locked, and I couldn't move it at all! :mad:

Okay well...I think I am going to call my boyfriend now. :) I miss him!
 
Hola...

sooooo I didn't go running today. :( I'm thinking it is going to be an every other day thing.

I have rehearsal for my choir group, and when I get home I'm going to do a leg/butt workout, which looks like....

3 sets of 10 lunges (per leg) with 45 pounds
3 sets of 10 leg curls...not sure what weight, yet. I have to experiment.
3 sets of 10 dead lifts with 60
AND...maybe 3 sets of 10 free squats with 45 pounds.

So basically I think I am going to be sore tomorrow.

Ah, so food today was good. I think overall I got around 1,000 calories in.
 
Omg...this is not a good habit, but I have made a discovery and that is....

light wheat bread with no calorie butter spray. 80 calories for 2 slices...

I could seriously just eat it all day. In fact, I'm thinking that I am going to have 2 slices of that and one yogurt for breakfast tomorrow. Yuuum.

OH MY GOSH! I'm so excited for my boyfriend to come home next Tuesday. I miss him so much. It will have been almost a month since I have seen him! We've kinda been competing. He's been focusing a whole lot on losing weight, too. So I'm excited to seeee him!

He's in college about 3 hours away from me. So yeah, I can't just drive up there whenever I want, and it suuuucks.

I had a terrible night. We fought like crazy, and I ended up going to bed at like 3:30. This morning my eyes are so red and puffy that I could barely even open them. Ergggh.

Toast and yogurt is good, however. :)
 
Ooookay...

I came home from school at 1 and didn't wake up until 5! I needed it though.

I just looked online and saw that I scored a 26 on my ACT! That seriously shocked me because I was expecting a 19 or something. YAY!

Not sure what's going on for dinner. I have to go to a meeting with my mom because the teachers (my mom) are basically protesting against the school board. This could be interesting...

Tonight was kind of cool. I can easily see how people can get involved with protesting. this is what happened...

My mom's a teacher and the school board isn't giving the teachers any benefits (no pay raises, no more free health care, etc.), and so the teachers are fighting against the board. Today they dressed in all black at school, and then later they brought their families to one of the schools, and we all walked to the central office together. We stopped traffic and it just looked so cool. About 100 of us crammed into this little office, and we waited until the superintendent started talking and then just walked out on him. There were windows all around the office, and the rest of the 1,000 teachers were outside waving their cell phones. It looked so awesome.

I guess I was born a rebel. :)

But if things don't get resolved soon, teachers will be sticking to their contract. Arriving at school exactly when they are required, not grading papers at home, not providing any extra help (for example, we have a math lab open all day where students can go and get help from the different math teachers), etc. It will turn into a huge MESS! But that's what it's supposed to do...

Okay so now that you know about the current conditions within my school district...on to the important stuff!

Like....I still love toast and no calorie butter spray. haha

Ate well today, didn't exercise though. I DID get lots of sleep, however! My butt is too sore from last night to do my butt exercises. Shucks...

Alright well I have some homework to tend to. Blah.
 
You are a rebel! :) Teachers put up with so much bs, and don't get paid nearly what they are worth. I don't blame them for striking one bit. I even remember them doing it when I was in highschool. We just had the voting and elections (mayor) last week. One hot topic issue was called Referendum One. It got vetoed luckily but, it was basically trying to get the poor/working class people to pay for the rich people's kids to go to private school by providing vouchers thru tax money. It was so ridiculous. There were all these commercials on TV for it too. Lies lies lies. Glad it didn't happen.

I didn't make it to the gym today. Still trying to get rid of this stupid cold that I am sure I caught at the GYM, lol... I just feel like exercising is going to make it worse, especially when all my body seems to want to do is sleep.

Take it easy, and don't slack on that homework!!! LOL

Crackers and cheese 80

Dinner
Grilled Cheese 200 cals
Tomato Soup 90 cals
Veggie Chips 50 cals

Total = 840 calories

I'm going to workout tonight, even though my frickin butt and hamstrings are soooore. I'll do the lunges, curls, and dead lifts, then I'm going to jump rope for about 20 minutes.
 
Hey Kristi!

Sorry to hear you are still so sore. I have memories of how sore my legs were when I first started working my legs with my pt. He told me to just remember to stretch, stretch, and stretch. He also said to massage them, and it can release some of the lactic acid that is built up in the muscle that is causing it to be so sore. I even bought a rolling pin at his suggestion, to roll over my legs. In my opinion it helped... just an idea

Tomato soup and a grilled cheese sounds so yummy right now. I'm still stuck at work and need to go pick something up for dinner, so that might be what i get :)

I worked with a pt for a little bit, and he had me use a rolling pin. OH MY GOSH! Sooo painful. He'd make me stop on spots that hurt the most, and I felt like I was going to die haha

Oh and the grilled cheese was good, but my mom makes it way better...

change o' plans...I just got done doing one set of lunges and felt like I was going to pull something if I kept going, so hellooooo abs! haha Sammy, I stretched for like 10 minutes straight, but I think it's just too soon. :/ Oh well...

My old ab workout consisted of leg lifts, hip thrusts, traditional crunches, and the bicycle maneuver, so here goes nothing. I'll update in an hour or so!
 
How disappointing...

I didn't do my workout. I guess I just wasn't really into it tonight. It's really going to be hard for me to start working out until I get a gym membership, which may not be until Christmas. Blah...

So I guess I am just going to have to stick to eating healthy. It's gotten me down 3 pounds, so I'm hoping I can continue to lose weight like this until I can start really working out.

Maybe I can walk? But it was like 30 degrees today. I'll have to really layer up if I want to. It's probably worth it, however. We'll see...
 
I understand!

I wanted to go jogging today, but it was too cold out! I am mostly relying on the healthy eating until James and I get our elliptical in. It should be delivered in like 2 weeks, and I can't wait!

Hey Kristi!

I have a membership that I actually dont use lol. I WAY prefer to do exercise thats fun and outdoors! Like running or bike riding or walking. When i go to the gym I feel like i HAVE to do it, but doing outdoors stuff is fun and i like to do it! If you want to do weight training there are lots of things you can do using your own body weight as resistance.
 
I would LOVE to be able to just run outside, especially on a beach, but it's just too cold here.

How does anybody feel about doing yoga for exercise?
