Total = 565

That's so low, I know, but I'm just not hungry today. I miss my boyfriend, and there's always a couple of days after he leaves when I am just blah and don't really want to eat.

So I think it's time for an update on my life because it has been a while. I got a job working at the Macaroni Grill as a hostess. I really like it because it keeps me on my feet, and especially on busy nights I am always moving around. The food is great, which isn't great, but I think I'll be able to hold off. My only real problem is the pop. Since we get it free, I have been drinking Dr. Pepper like it's my job. I got water today though!

Also, I got into Wittenberg with a 10,000 yearly academic scholarship. My mom cried. haha so I am so happy about that, and I can't wait until next year. :)

I want to there to be a visible difference in my body when I go to Toledo to visit Eric over Martin Luther King weekend. Probably not a realistic goal, but that would be awesome. I have 9 days.

Did well today.

I bought a Gaiam Cardio Balance Ball video, so I can start working out now! The video got great reviews on amazon...

hmm...that's it I think.

Thanks, the picture was rather HUGE lol. Dr Pepper is the best, it must be the 13 flavors. Diet Dr Pepper is just as good, but most places dont carry that. Usually when I go out to eat I get a DP to drink. Plus the carbonation helps me eat more.

Congrats on getting into school and a nice scholarship. What is the tuition? What are you pursuing?

The place that I used to work had Diet DP, and it I became addicted to it. It seriously does taste just like regular.

As for college...tuition plus room and board is around 40. That's why it was very important that I get a scholarship. As of right now I want to major in marketing and minor in political science.

I know, seriously...but they give you a lot of money with grants and scholarships.

I'm kinda tired tonight. Maybe I'll go to bed early tonight.

Hiiii Sam! Im glad to be back, too! :)

So I made a REALLY good smoothie today. I used strawberries, raspberries, and a banana with one container of yogurt, 3 scoops of ice cream, and a cup of ice. Oh my gosh it tasted so delicious. I'm down to approximately 135, but I cannot tell any difference in my body. I think I may be losing muscle and not fat because I'm not eating enough. But I'm not eating enough because I don't know where, how, or when to do my cardio to burn off some calories. Hmm?

Good news is that I just recieved my Gaiam Cardio Balance Ball video, and I watched it and attempted to workout. It was haaaaard, and I gave up pretty quickly, but I'm going to keep doing it after school and do as much as I can.

Mom's making hot chicken salad, so I will be having some of that and some slices of peppers with ranch. Yum.

I'm not getting my suggested 1500 calories in because I am not doing any cardio to burn some of them off. I keep thinking well I usually burn around 500 when I work out, so I am only eating around 1000, sometimes lower.

I literally just got done ordering the below bathing suit from Victoria's Secret...

I loooove the back design, and I am so ready to look good in it by summer. :)

So time to start working out, I suppose...

Havent you been here long enough to know that this type of dieting isnt great? Did you know that your body probably burns about 1200 calories per day doing nothing. Add in to that walking around, standing/sitting/standing, and even thinking and you're even higher. How do you keep yourself sane eating so little?

Its very possible that any weight you lose while dieting this way will come back quickly once you feel you have reached your goal and start eating again. Create a diet that can last a liftetime, not a short time. :smash:

Whats wrong with the black suit in your pic?

Tony...healthy weight loss starts tomorrow :)

I'm going to start planning my meals the day before like I did last year. That worked well for me. Actually, I am going to plan out my whole day.

So.....

Tuesday, January 15

Breakfast
1 cup of cheerios with 1/2 cup of 1% milk
...................150 calories

Snack
1 cup of cheerios
...................100 calories

Lunch
Thick and Creamy yogurt
Side salad with Italian dressing
Turkey, Cheese sandwich on wheat with mayonnaise
...................400 calories

Snack
1 banana
...................80 calories

Dinner
????

Total (not including dinner) = 730 calories

This may seem a bit low, but it's about 50 times better than the past couple of weeks. I haven't been revealing the whole truth about the past couple of weeks, but I'm not sure I really want to say what's been going on. I just want to do this in a healthy manner, and I need to take small steps to build-up to the kind of weight-loss that I achieved last February.

Okay, so on to other things....

I will try my hardest to do approximately 50 minutes of cardio with my new video. 30 minutes is the absolute minimum that I want to do.

I work at 6:00 tomorrow night, so I will be on my feet for at least 2 hours.

I will drink one medium sized glass of water with each meal I eat.

I will take a multi-vitamin with my breakfast.

I absolutely will not weigh myself right after I have eaten dinner.

So that's my day...I'm excited. I still would love to have a gym membership, but hopefully I can gut it out until spring.

Soooo, I bet you're all wondering how my day went. :)

Well, it went pretty healthily.

I followed through with...
1) My meal plan
2) Drinking lots of water
2) Taking a vitamin

Buuuut...my plan was to workout before work because I will be too embarrassed to do it in front of my mom. I just came down (after my nap) all ready to go, only to find out that it is now 5:00, and I work at 6. I still have to take a shower, so I don't really have time. AHHH! I really want to do it today, so I'll try to send my mom off to the store or something tonight after work.

I am currently at 133, and I have eaten everything except dinner...

which by the way...I will not be ordering a pizza from the Macaroni Grill tonight. This statement is more for myself, I just wanted to add it on to my wills and will nots.

Off to the showers...

I'm baaaack...

I'm having a hard time staying committed. This is my what? 50th attempt.

This is just warm-up for the incredibly good-health-filled post that will be coming later today. I'm feeling very optimistic right now, despite the fact that nearly everything in my life has been going wrong. I guess it's time for a change, then?

I leave you with this quote that may have nothing to do with weight-loss, but has everything to do with my life, currently. :)

“Thoughts become Actions, Actions create Habits, and Habits build Character”

There are plenty of things going on in my life right now...the biggest thing has been causing me a lot of stress and just a lot of bad things. I'm not sure that I want to post up here what's going on, as it is shameful to me, but maybe once its over and the dust has settled I can talk about it.

Good things though are that I am officially going to Wittenberg (made a deposit), I only have 68 days left of school, my mom and I have been sitting down at the table for home made meals every night, and I still like my job at Macaroni Grill.

I also made the decision today that I NEED to get exercise. I have been eating healthy for about 5 days and haven't lost a pound. Usually I have lost about 2 by now. Boo...

So I am going to do my old-school stair routine. This consists of running up and down my stairs MANY times. I do it in a reverse pyramid style. First I go up and down 10 times (up-down 1, up-down 2, up-down 3, etc.), then 9,8,7 etc. and then once I am done I am going to consistently walk up and down the stairs until I reach 30 minutes.

Does this sound okay?

Here's what I ate today...

BREAKFAST

Bowl of corn pops
1/2 cup of 1% milk
= approx. 200 calories

SNACK
Organic Fruit Bar
= 140 calories

LUNCH
Leftover veggie pizza
Pretzel Slims w/sesame seeds
= 400 calories

DINNER
Chicken and rice
Blueberries
Cucumber slices topped with low-fat Italian dressing
= 500 calories

SNACK
3 slices of wheat bread (to kick my craving)
= 120 calories

TOTAL = 1,360 calories

My goal is 1500 a day, so yay Kristi. I just used estimates though.

Today at work I tried to be a food runner, which means that I tried to be one of the people that carries food out to tables on really busy nights. I suuuucked. Terribly. I couldn't even carry a tray that had 4 plates on it. I ended up just carrying out plates to tables with only 2 people. lol I think I'm just going to stick to curbside-to-go and hosting. :)
