Keep Trying!

I took ds the the pediatrician yesterday because his fever shot up but he is doing much better today. I've got to get back to I'm not taking him with me until he is completely recovered. Hopefully tonight if ds keeps feeling better when dh gets home I can leave the baby with him and go to the gym for a while.

Sorry to hear about your son being ill. Hope he gets better soon! :hug2:
 
Thank you, he is much better now. He's back to destroying everything in his path, lol. So now I'm back in gear with the gym again and am trying to teach him how to walk before his birthday next week. Our internet and phone lines were down most of the week but the repirman came today and it looks like it is working fine now.:)
 
Today's menu:
Fruit with strawberry, pineapple, kiwi
green tea buckwheat noodles with dipping sauce
We went to panera bread and dh and I split a Chipotle Chicken sandwich half and Fiesta Con Queso soup and a Pumpkin Spice latte. A little naught but I was low on calories today.

For exercise we went on a walk with the baby which was really nice! Tommorow after the gym I want to take him to the park to practice walking because he is almost there!! Is the gym even open tommorow??

With the September and Halloween challenges these next comming weeks will be so fun!
 
It's been a while since I wrote in the diary but I'm not doing bad. I only lost a pound this week because I hadn't been to the gym as much as I'd like. Plus I'm feeling bloated from my period which makes me feel like not going even more.So I came up with a temporary solution which works pretty well.

Yesterday I came to the conclusion the it's a pretty big space between the kitchen and living room. So what I do is I run back and forth as fast as possible till I' exhausted then I pick up the baby, he loves this part, and walk back and forth at a good speed bouncing him. When he gets too heavy I start running again and so on. To up the difficulty yoou can put a box at the halfway point to jump over, lol. It's not a bad work out and my son loves it.:)

Today was a bit busy because I had to get things ready for when we go on vacation this Sunday but I ate pretty well and managed to fit in some exercise.

-Yogurt in the morning (blueberry)
-Rice
-A banana
-Rice w/furikake
-A handful of dark choco m&m's (naughty I know!)
-Special K protein cereal w/lowfat milk
-For dinner I'm making brocoli, carrots, and some yellow peppers

The bowls of rice were pretty small so it's a bit low on calories which was the bad point of today's menu. Other than that I had a little of everything which wasn't bad. For exercise this may sound so retarded but I did the Wii boxing for half an hour which is a really good work out!:boxing:

I'm a little worried about staying at Disney because the food there is pretty bad but the hotel has a gym so whatever. Taking pictures for ds's birthday will keep me from overindulging when I see how fat I am in them!!
 
I'm sure you'll do fine at Disney, you don't seem to have a very large appetite. Plus it may do you good to get a little more calories in a for a few days. I'm all about calorie cycling. Anyway, hope you have a wonderful time on your trip :).

Ha ha, I was last at Disney in 1978, when I was 10 years old. I'll probably be going next year with the baby and my nephews though :).

We actually came back the day before yesterday but went again yesterday to check out the new Haunted Mansion (which is amazing!!) and dh wanted to eat there so he had the fish and chips at the Columbia House and I had the vegan chili which sounds healthy but really who knows. I gained of course and am back at 172 but I'm optimistic and know I can get rid of the weight pretty fast. I feel bad for my halloween team though so I'm going to work extra hard this week to make it up!

On the way to Disney yesterday we stop by a Japanese market in that area and picked up the oolong tea I love and some things to cook with for this week like karashi mentai and tarako pasta sauce. It's a shame it's next to tourist hell or we would go there more often.

Blancita if you are coming to WDW next year let us know if you need any help planing your trip. We are about 30 minutes away and go often so we know the parks and area pretty well.

Glad to hear you had a good trip. Are you sure you're at 172?? I find it hard to believe you gained 30lbs in one week!! haha. That must be a typo. MMmm...your Japanese food sounds yummy. I love Asian cuisine.:beating:

Lol! You are right definately not 172! I meant to write 142, 141.2 this morning. My mother in law sent some adorable clothes in a care package with ds's birthday presents which I'm dying to wear! I also told dh that since he ordered my birthday present last night I would get down to 135 before it gets here at the end of September as a super thank you because it was something I really wanted. (the new pink Sony Vaio:beating:)

I've been kinda stuck at 141 and it's all my fault which makes me feel better than if it was a plateu or something. I know I can pass this hurtle by just using effort so let's see what happens. I gotta catch up now if I'm going o reach my goals.

Then there is the no weighing yourself challenge for the halloween groups and it just has me wondering what the damage is... It's harder than I thought it would be not weighing yourself. It's kind of surprising how dependent I've become on that scale. It's seriously an addiction!:p

I hear ya with the scale thing! But the way I"ve been eating the last two days, I don't want to know what I weigh!! I'm sure it's gone up. At least I've been exercising. I think if you just get back to your eating and exercise like you were doing, you'll be happy with the number on the scale come Saturday.
 
Oh yeah, that would be really hard to stay away from the scale. I can only do it when I'm on vacation. I weigh here at my mom's house but I'm not sure if our scales our synchronized (I sure hope not :rolleyes:).

Thank you for dropping in BB and Blancita! I have a really good feeling about this week. I hadn't been really keeping at it like before for 2 weeks so for sure my weight should go down this week. I'm hoping it will be 139 or lower by Friday but we'll see. I could be setting myself up for disapointment but even if I only lose a little I'll be happy.

I hope so! I am getting desperate to reach that little milestone now and not being able to weight myself is killing me. I'm going to start writing down what I'm eating again to make myself accountable and make sure that I eat enough calories. I did really good 2 days ago and made to 1500 calorie range but yesterday between housework and taking care of ds I didn't realize the time and it was 3:15 before I had had my first meal of the day so my calories were around 900. For exercise I'm back to at least an hour at the gym everyday and I do feel slimmer but I need to see the numbers! I'm about to just forget about the bonus points and just weight myself but it's just two more days to go.

My father in law is coming in November and I do not want to be fat when he is here. I have to be at least 125 bt the time he comes or I will be super embarrassed. I mean the baby is already a year old so its not baby fat any more just fat ykwim?

im so jealous thst you went to disney, though. i love it there. im seriously like a 4 yr old at heart.

I'm sorry about your breakup hope your vacation is a nice one though. It is tough on vacation but enjoy yourself and even if your weight goes up a little it will come down again. My vacation weight came back down fairly quickly. I'll definately pop in your iary and say hi!

As for Disney we are like totally Disney freaks. Dh used to work at Tokyo Disney Sea! If you get the chance to come down to WDW they redid the Haunted Mansion and it looks fantastic!
