It's not working though Kezzy. :(

I had a really busy day yesterday running around so I didn't stick to my eating plan like I should have. I was out at the drugstore and had forgotten to eat lunch before I went and started to get really shaky so I bought a bag of M&Ms to help boost my blood sugar but I didn't eat the whole bag. I gave half of them away. Later, I had a anti pasto salad for dinner, no bread (I figure I should have a salad to make up for the M&M's) and I didn't finish that either but then a few hours after I got really hungry so I had ONE bowl of cereal. Nothing tragic right? So how is it that when I got on the scale this morning I gained a pound? WTF???? I'm about ready to give up.

No no no no no don't take any notice of those stupid scales!! I threw mine away they were being so s*** to me!!

Okay, got on the scale this morning and gained another pound so, I decided to kick it in to high gear. I am doing my blast off week this week. That mean only 1000 calories a day. I know that's quite low but it's only for this week. Next week, I will go back to my regular 1500-1600 calorie days.

Got up today and worked my ass off. I danced, I jogged, I sweated, and I jogged some more for thirty minutes straight. If I don't lose something this week, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Edited to add I also plan on writing down what I'm eating and my excerise each day so tomorrow I will write down what I did for excercise and how long I did it and what I ate today.

Consistency is what will get you where you want to be. Just be careful this week. Don't deprive your body! If your exercising like crazy your body NEEDS some tasty calories to function!!
 
Thanks Kezzy :) but trust me, I never excersise like crazy. The jogging/dancing thing I did was all in a matter of 30 minutes. Sorry if I made it sound like I was excersising all day. Also, the blast off week is just something I'm using to get myself going again. It's a Richard Simmons, food mover thing which is what I use to help me with my eating. The last time I did the blast off was when I started my diet program way back in Feb. It just kind of helps cleans out your system and helps get your cravings under control and like I said, it's only for one week.

I did 30 minutes of intense cardio yesterday and I stuck to the 1000 calorie plan.

3/4 cup pf special K
3/4 cup of 1% milk
1 fruit cup
Citrucel
Vitamins
Lunch
3/4 C homemade chicken (breast) and mushroom casserole with whole wheat pasta and brocolli
fruit cup
Dinner
4oz BBQ chicken breast on 2 slices of light whole wheat bread
1 cup of cooked brocolli
1/2 can of green beans
1 cup 1% milk
Snack
teaspoon of peanut butter on a celery stick

I know this is a small amount to eat but it's only for one week. Next week I will go back to my 1600ish calories.

It could be sodium or water weight or weight flexuates so much and water plays a big role in it...dont get discouraged this happens to the best of us and if you weight yourself evryday you need to accept that somedays you will be higher due to sodium and water retenition and only believe the number once a week for an offical weight in - I was up 2.2 lbs this am - i know why I had pudding and ate ham and didnt drink nearly wnough water - with proper eatign today and drinking a ton of water I will ahve it of in a day or two :):):)

This really helps for me I use to log everythign into sparks ppl into my diary and my on log book at home - I wrote down everyhtign I ate and the cals and my exercising just so i can see it myself...it is a great way to get going

Your eating looks well regardless plus it makes sence if you think abt it - on only 1000 cals you reallyneed to make smart food choices - it makes you smarten upa nd eat better like more fruit and or veggies b/c they have limited cals in them all the good stuff is loaded...good luck on continuing on with your 1000 cals - I couldnt do it - I cant even do 1200 cals - I need to eat more - however I have a physical job and exercise alot
 
Hey Cinderelly, thanks. :) I forgot to add that I had a cup of milk with my dinner, lol. Anyway, like I said the 1000 calorie thing is only for a week. If I did it long term, it would send my metabolism into sleep mode, don't want to do that. I know that water weight can also be a big factor but I just got over my monthy friend and usually the water weight problem doesn't occur unless it's shortly before. I know that what you eat can effect it too though. I was just really frustrated because Sunday is my weekly weigh in day and there I was up two pounds.

I agree about writing things down. I think that sometimes I forget and don't realize how much I really am consuming. Writing it down should really help me stay on track. :)

Yesterday I did my normal weight training for about 20 minutes and finished off my 30 minutes of excersise with cardio.

Breakfast
2 slices of light, wheat toast
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
1 cup of 1% milk
citrucel
vitamins
Snack
1 pear
Lunch
1 cup of chicken breast casserole with whole wheat egg noodles and brocolli
1/2 can of green beans
Dinner
1 cup of spaghetti noodles
1/4 cup of red sauce
1 meatball
Lettuce salad
2 tablespoons of italian dressing
1 piece of light wheat toast
1 teaspoon of margarine
fruit cup
1 cup of 1% milk
Later
2 triscut crackers because I was hungry

I screwed up on my carb/grains. I had two more than I was suppose to according to the blast off food mover card. It's so not a big deal, just thought I would mention it. Other than that, I did pretty damn good. :)
 
Ha Ha ha - oh well - it isnt like you are binging on bad foods or nothing~!!! Funny thing is I was just thinkin abt you and finding your diary and you posted - I was gonna say I hope your day goes well...are in day time and you post from the day beofre or are youi in night time and post at the end of the day ???

Yesterday I did 30 minutes of good cardio. I can always tell it's good when I sweat my butt off and I sweated.

1/2 cup of mac and cheese made with very little butter
2 oz of lean pork
1 1/2 cups of brocolli
Dinner
1/2 cup of whole wheat penne
1 cup of homemade spaghetti sauce with ground turkey
1 whole cut up cucumber
1 cup of 1% milk
1/2 of a 100 calorie nutter butter pack (Had a bit of a sweet tooth)
Snack
1 slice of light wheat bread
a couple table spoons of the turkey, spaghetti sauce

I was really hungry last night so I had that snack of bread and sauce, which is fine I know but it just dawned on me that I didn't have any fruit (other than the crushed tomatoes I used in the sauce) yesterday. I probably wouldn't have gotten so hungry last night had I had some. Still, I done good. :D

I am in B.C - Greater Vancouver - it is 745am :):):) Your looking good girl :):):) Keep up the good work and I assumed since you were inthe states that it was am ... Ok so on that note have a good day :):):) So are you a single mom or ??? And if you are 40...is your daughter grown up or ??? I had my first at 16 - she is now 12 turning 13 and my youngest is 2 turning 3...

I have two kids, a son and a daughter who are both at the age now where I can pretty much do what I want and yes, I am a single parent too. :)

Did my 20 minutes of weights and 10 minutes of cardio yesterday. :)

By the way, I haven't done any pictures this month because there really isn't a change from the last ones I took. Hopefully next month will be differnet.

snack
1 bowl of Peanut Butter crunch lol (I had to I was dying for something sweet and it was good)
Still, I kept my calories to around 1200-1300. :)
 
:):):) You see youa re doing it you are on track - your doing excellent with your eating and exercising regularly...Im trying to break 200 myself - I weighted int his am at 209 - so we are pretty close weight wise...

Yesterday was kind of a weird day. I was going to do my excersise a bit later in the day but didn't get to it because I got kind of busy. I should have just gotten it done earlier in the day. Oh well, I can always do both my weights and cardio today. Also, dinner was weird yesterday. I know I didn't consume more than 1400-1500 yesterday calories so I'm not worried about it, but I wanted to keep it to around 1000-1200 every day this week, oh well.

Breakfast
3/4 cup of cereal
1 cup of 1% milk
vitamins
citrucel

Snack
1 fruit cup

Lunch
1 slice of turkey bolonga and
1 slice of cheese on
two slices of light wheat bread
garden salad
2 tablespoons of ranch dressing
a sprinkle (like a tablespoon) of cheddar cheese

Snack
1 small handful of mixed nuts

Dinner
1/2 baked pork chop
4 onion rings
1 100 calorie pack of cupcakes
(I told you dinner was wierd)

Snack
1/2 cup of cereal with 1% milk

I did not get enough fruits and vegetables yesterday, I ended up going for the junk instead which as I have learned, is not optimal for weight loss. I won't be doing that again today. As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to grab some fruit right now.

Aaawww your welcome...go get some fruit and veggies :):):) I find my energy lacks when I dont eat fruit nad veggies and I feel like crap and such :):):)

Yeah Cerella, I agree. I bought some V8 juice and some more fruit cups and yesterday, I had some and it seemed to help. :)

Thanks MJB, I'm trying. This week I lost 3 pounds so I'm REALLY hoping to be there by my birthday which is 9 days away. I would love to weigh 198 by then (that would be my 30 pound loss mark) but if I could get that ticker down to 199.9 by then, I'll be happy.

Yesterday I worked my butt off, to the point where I was sore. I didn't get my excersise in on Friday so yesterday I pulled double duty. I did my 20 minutes or so or weight/strength training and then did 30 minutes of cardio to top it off, ooh I was tired after that but I did it. My eating wasn't too bad all though I always have a problem with picking. When ever I cook something good, I pick pick pick at it and God forbid one of the kids leaves a bag of chips or a jar of peanuts on the coffee table, I can't just get up and put them away with out grabbing a little and yesterday was no exception. This people is my major food problem. I'm not one to eat an entire half gallon of ice cream or bag of cookies in one sitting, my problem is the little picks I do, that's what gets me. I don't do it as badly as I used to but it's still a problem for me. I really need to figure something out to curve that, it get's me every time.

Breakfast
1 cup of rice chex
1 cup of 1% milk
1 fruit cup

Snack
1 6oz can of V8
1/2 of a 100 calorie cup cake pack

Lunch
2 oz of tuna packed in water
2 tablespoons of miracle whip
2 slices of light wheat bread
two tomato slices
lettuce
1 6oz can of V8

Dinner
3 oz of chicken chicken breast and
about a 1/2 cup of green pepper and onion (all cooked in 1 tablesppon of extra virgin olive oil)
1 6 inch flour tortilla
2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar

Snack
1/2 cup of fruit cocktail in light syrup
2 tablespoons of cool whip

Later I got quite hungry so I had a small bowl of golden grams plus the 5 or so potato chips I had while putting them a way and the picking I did at the left over fajita mix. :doh: Man, I gotta stop doing that.

I need to get to 206 to be my offical 30 lbs mark and it has been a struggle gettin there - everytime I am close I go in the wrong direction agian this tiem I am determinded to get there and get below 200!!!
 
I know how you feel C, that's what happened to me last month. It's pretty frustrating isn't it?

Yesterday I kind of sort of took a break. I wouldn't call it a cheat day by any means, I just wasn't quite as strict with my eating and I took a day off from excersising, still ate good and healthy though and still probably deficiant. I'll be getting back to a bit more strict regular diet routine today.
 
heh heh heh - kinda did the same thing - went out to eat and had a seafood club house I thought it was a good choice but afterwards Im like wow 3 pieces of bread and I ate all my frenc fries - which I never have and I even had a few servings of chips - bad bad bad - LOL
 
Well, I didn't go that far, lol, I still ate healthy, just a bit more than normal but man, those french fries sound good.

I did 25 minutes of weight/strength training yesterday, I also changed it up a bit. Instead of 2 reps of 15, I do 3 reps of 12 and I also added in another excersise, (wall push ups) so it took me longer than it has been. It was good. :) Eating, did pretty good with that too.

I also decided I'd write down the calories in everything I eat. I figure that will help keep me on track too.

Breakfast
1 cup of rice chex-100 cal
1 cup of 1% milk-110 cal
fruit cup-70 cal
vitamins
citrucel

Lunch
2.5 oz of tuna (packed in water) - 75 cal
2 1/2 tablespoons of miracle whip - 90 cal
2 slices of light wheat bread - 80 cal
2 6oz cans of V8 juice - 30 cal each

Snack
10 whole grain wheat thins - 100 cal

Dinner
1 cup of hambuger helper made with turkey and fresh spinach thrown in - 280 cal
1 cup of blanched brocolli - 40 cal

Snack
1 1/2 cups of peanut butter crunch - 165 cal
1 cup of 1% milk - 110 cal (I was so hungry for something sweet and it was with in my calories so I figured what the hell)

Total calories, 1280. Normally I'd eat a bit more but with my birthday coming (1 week from today) I'm trying to keep things a bit more strict. We'll see what happens when I weigh my self next Tuesday and if it pays off. *prays*
