I hear ya C-relly.

I actually started doing that Slimmom. I started saying "evil, that food is EVIL!" :rotflmao: and it kind of works. Thanks for the tip. Also I do read the nutritional value but it doesn't always stop me. However, it does make it so I don't mindlessly eat the stuff. I usually only have a little but it's the habit itself I want to break. Great tip about the milk and smoothie, I'm definitely going to try that one.

Well I got back on track yesterday. Did my 30 minutes of cardio and sweated my booty off. I also ate pretty good yesterday.

Breakfast
1 Cup of rice chex 100 cals
1 cup of 1% milk 110 cals
1 fruit cup 70 cals
vitamins
Citrucel

Snack
1/2 donut 90 cals
few crackers 50 cals

Lunch
2 1/2 oz of tuna (packed in water) 75 cals
1 tablespoon of miracle whip 40 cals
2 slices of light wheat bread 80 cals
2 tomato slices 10 cals
lettuce 10 cals
2 6oz cans of V8 juice 60 cals
1 Special K bar 90 cals

Dinner
4 oz of baked porkchop 300 cals
1 baked potato 110 cals
1 cup of cooked brocolli 50 cals
1 tablespoon of butter 100 cals
1 tablespoon of sour lean 40 cals
2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce 30 cals
1 cup of 1% milk 110 cals

Snack
1 special k bar 90 cals

1615 total calories. I am gonna try and keep it to more like 1400-1500 from now on all though 1600 is still pretty good. :)

Did pretty good again yesterday. I worked out for a total of 40 minutes (10 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training) and followed my diet like a good kid.

1 1/2 cups of spaghetti hotdish - 550 cals
1 cup of brocolli - 50 cals

snack
ice cream bar - 150 cals

Total calories, 1405

However, when I got on the scale today it said I was up 3 pounds from last week. I'm not surprised considering how I was eating and the fact that it's PMS time. I'm not changing that ticker til Sunday though so hopefully it'll be back down a bit before then.

Well I did my 30 minutes of cardio and ate good again but man did I crave last night. I didn't give in though. I only had a few baked ritz cracker things (like 5) but the cravings were driving me crazy. I'm PMSing so that's usually what happens. It's always harder to diet this time of the month. Also, I was picking again, however, I incorporated it into my calories so that's good. Also, Im back down 2 pounds from yesterday, yea! I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be down one more but if not, moving my ticker up one pound this week won't be too terribly painful. Considering the way I was eating towards the begining of the week, It could be a lot worse.

1 1/4 cups of leftover hotdish - 450 cals
1 fruit cup - 70 cals
1 6 oz can of V8 - 30 cals

Lunch
1/2 bran muffin - 225 cals

good idea ..I will have to try that. I binged last night, but I stayed on track with the weight. I didn't binge like usual, less so.. I haven't binged for awhile ...
but not going to do it again ..

Today I am having a sandwhich on whole wheat Rye.. seeded Rye is awesome... I don't think that is what we have right now. We might have the mix of rye and pumpernickel ... we get our bread from peppy farm ...

Anyway ..today is going to be an excellent day ....a challenge of a day ...
16-18 mile bike ride. I think I am prepared ... its the only way to know ..its just to go!:jump

Awe thanks and good for you Nataliejo. I know if you put your mind to it, you can make it. Have you started a diary yet? If not, you'd be surprised at how helpful one can be. Not just to help with weight loss, but to find out what your triggers are, keep track of your excersise, ect, and it can really show you what's going wrong and/or what's going right and help you stay on the right track. If you don't have one, it might be something you want to consider.

UGH! Yesterday did not go as planned. I did my weight/strength training, no cardio though and I was craving like a mo fo, especially last night. I didn't binge persay but I did eat more than I should have. That and when I woke up this morning, my hands and feet were swollen like ballons and of course my TOM is still all screwed up. I should have gotten it by now but what do you know, I haven't yet, shocker. Also, I've been about the same weight since mid May when I got sick. I really haven't lost anything since then and now my ticker is back up to 204. I know some of that is water weight but if my period decides not to come this month, I'm gonna be stuck with the extra water and the cravings for who knows how long.

I made a turkey ham yesterday, big mistake. While it's pretty low in fat and calories, the damn sodium in it is enough to replenish the Pacific ocean if it ever runs out of salt. I was really hoping to get away with just watching the fat, calories and portions of my food, now it looks like I'm going to have to watch the sodium too just like everyone else. :doh:

On a better note, something I forgot to mention, when I went shopping last week, I found that I now wear the smallest size shirt Lane Bryant carries and I fit and bought a pair of 16 jeans (I was in an 18) so that's something good.

Now, if I can just remember what I ate yesterday. It's not going to be easy.

Ya know we all get to that maintance point...were we get tired of eating liek we are on a diet and eating to loose weight plus oyu are so close to your mini goal - I knwo when I get close my body and mind just run in the other direction - I should have been in onderland ages ago...

I get tired of eating fruits and veggies all the time - however the so called good things are starting to make me sick...it is a toss off...

Have you ever thought to step up your exercise routine ???

Anyway youw ill get there and like you saod tom is bringing his cravings and bloating - you didnt eat enough to gain two lbs - so suck back that water today...and for th enext couple of days and those 2 lbs will be gone...
 
Thanks C, I know you're right but the fact that I've been the same weight for a month and a half now kind of bums me out. I know I haven't been doing the greatest but has it really been that long? I would think I would have lost a few pounds by now.

I actually have thought about stepping up the excersise and actually did add to my strenght training more reps and a couple more excersises. I haven't uped the cardio though because it's a real challenge just doing what I do now. I sort of hate it.
 
What abt walking ??? That is great exercise :):):) I knwo what oyu mean abt hte weight I was at a stand still for 2 months - Ihad to break myself of the bad habits I had gotten into but didnt realize - I was eating alot more carbs than usual - muffins and bread and such and didnt really realize it b/c it still wasnt bad not like before but worse than my body is use too...
 
Thanks for the suggestion C but unfortunatlly walking goes in to the "I hate" category too. Especially considering how flipping hot it's been.

I just posted asking Steve if he might be able to help me get on the right track because what I've been doing is just not working. I got on the scale yesterday and I was up two more pounds. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the scale but when I went to double check on the other one, it said the same thing.

I'm not even going to bother with trying to lose right now until I can figure out what I really need to be doing.
 
Don't forget that you have lost 24 pounds, Kaika. I would LOVE to have lost 24 pounds. And you're in size 16 jeans! That's great! I know you've been itching for 200 and you will see it - I have absolutely no doubt that you will see it.
 
Thanks slimmom and you're right I did lose 24 pounds but for the last month and a half, nothing. I'll go down a couple only to gain it right back a week later. What I did before and what I'm doing now just is not working anymore. It seems like ever since I had that stomach problem in May, the weight loss thing just isn't going like it should. I admit, I had a few off days, don't get me wrong and I didn't expect to lose like I did before but you would think I would have lost something by now or at least kept off what I did lose. And how I can gain 4 pounds eating at most 2300 calories like 2 days out of the week with the rest of the time eating around 1600 a day while still excersising is beyond me. It's crazy. :confused: I just have to figure out something differnt because like I said, this just is not working any more.
 
I'm going to try this again with a few changes in the mix starting on Sunday. God I hope it works this time.
 
It will. You can do this. I'm frustrated b/c the # I'm seeing on the scale is going up too, but we have got to keep at it.
 
My scale has gone up two pounds today ... icks ... it hurts .... after all the work I did to lose it ..

I have lost twenty pounds ..and now am at the most horrible plateau .. so I totally understand where you are at ..its getting frustrating ..lol

So, I decided to do sort of an experiment this last week. I totally did not watch what I ate, did not do any real excersise (all though I was fairly active a couple of days this week) and let my self have what ever I wanted and then some. I basically wanted to see how easy it would be for me to gain weight and wouldn't you now, I gained six pounds. Now in all fairness, I still haven't gotten my period so some of that is PMS wieght but still. All that work for weeks and nothing on the losing side but one week of screwing up and 6 pounds back on. My body hates me, I'm telling you. On the other hand, I did pick up some heavier weights yesterday. I got 5 pound free weights and 3 pound ankle/wrist straps. Let's see what I can in the next two weeks. If I don't lose anything this time, I might just have to except the fact that maybe my body just isn't meant to be thinner.
 
Hey you - ive been defeated lately myself - however I refuse to believe that I have lost as much weight as I am gonna...I still wqanna go another 40 or 50 - what happened with talking to Steve - i am actualyl in the process of doign that myself - soemthings gotta give - I work my ass off and only go up - time for some changes - dont beleive this is as far as you have come - you can go farther you jsut gotta push yourself :):):) I totally understnad where you are comign from...
 
Hey C-relly. Yeah, I asked Steve for some advice but Lula beat him to it, ha ha. She gave me some really good advice so I took it. Still don't know if it's working yet because I put my scales in the basement and only plan on using them once a week. I also am only going to journal about once a week simply because I was constantly thinking about trying to lose wieght and I don't want to do that. I just want to do what I have to do and forget about it. Thinking about it all the time became too much for me.

Anyway, thanks for checking in, we'll see how it goes. :)
