I am sipping a glass of delicious red wine. It is divine!! I don't usually drink alcohol (special occasions/eating out only) - but i was sooo in the mood today..
My hormones.... ToM is approaching - so you gotta love that:screwing with your dieting plans..I have been on the munch this whole afternoon. I convinced my husband to eat out in a Mexican - only to cancel last minute...uff...I am all over the place haha...well I immediately spent the money (that was intended for the restaurant) on amazon...very smart eh ..NOT.
I am not in the mood for juicing either..i mean if someone made it for me - I d drink it - but I am a bit lazy.. I m not hungry but have cravings - this is weird...
Oh I HAVE BEEN CHOCOLATE FREE FOR 4 WEEKS NOW!! Gosh Lent is long...2,5 more weeks to go!
I am also in a bit of turmoil....about the future - decisions have to be made once we are moving from here (in June)...I dont know where to go...my husband needs to pick a university to go to & I need to be in a place where I can get a job....this is quite a mission...me thinking East coast...but I don't know...way too many things have to come together...I don't really know well this country yet.. so I m doing loads of research - it's kind of tiring.

Food today:
B: Ezekiel toast with jam + latte
S: Banana + nuts
L: Pasta with olives tuna in garlic olive oil
S: Mango & nuts
D: Ezekiel toast with mayo (it's not me, the hormones :willy_nilly: )

Justina - Kept missing you over at my diary, haha. May I suggest the Midwest? :-D Lots of great schools AND tons of healthy food sources if you pick the right spot. Okay, I am a bit partial, and the winters here can be long. But I love it.

I was going to get a bottle of wine today...we think too much alike! Good on you for enjoying it. TOM sucks. I am eager to see if eating better, being more active, and just healthier overall will affect it at all. Hopefully for the better. Every girl deserves a day (or two, or three...) off at that time.

Congrats on being chocolate free! That is amazing (you are braver than I). I gave up diet soda for Lent...going pretty strong!

I still say you juice! You will appreciate all the effort after enjoying it! Oh and you are sooo right about the kale. I can barely taste it in my juices.

Have a great night!

~Camila~

Camilla: Well done on giving up diet soda!! I used to drink it non stop a few years ago...now I dont even miss it. ok i lie...but when I do i just buy zevia (with no artificial sweeteners and still zero kcal) - i wont go as far as it is healthy but a lot healthier than soda with aspartame.
Well my husband is from Michigan - so that could be an obvious choice - but I heard the job market is not that good. & I m desperate for a job. I used to work as a project manager when I lived in the UK.

I think we are twins. I'm not even kidding.

I am a project management intern where I work right now! Also I used to live in Michigan myself. Crazy crazy. Also I have not had diet soda in awhile either...at first the cravings were baddddd. Now I honestly would rather have water, juice, or tea!

P.S. The beet juice has me feeling sort of woozy and lightheaded lol.

I am also approaching ToM. I wondered why my scale was saying higher than I thought it would, and why I felt slightly bloated before I realized ToM was coming. Yuck. Luckily though, I have it real easy that way. No major symptoms. Good job on the no chocolate!

Hey Justina,
Good job on being chocolate free!! That's a major accomplishment...you might consider extending your 'lent' period even after Easter...looks like it's working for you!
Keep up the good choices...ToM's come and go!

Sarah

Unfortunately Justina, I don't know that the job market is particularly great anywhere. Both the United States and the EU are under-employed at the moment.

What's a zevia? Soda is a weakness of mine and I don't do diet stuff. I tend to think the aspartame is more harmful than the sugar. It would be nice to find an alternative.

Camila -- project management - no way!!! what industry? I was in marketing research. Where in MI did you live? & which state do you live now?

Mystic -- yup tom sucks...but i d hate not having it either...hmmmm....i just want the scale to go DOWN!!!

Sarah -- thanks so much!! oh I can't wait for Easter - i miss chocolate a lot. I happen to think that chocolate is good for you in moderation - I usually buy good quality choco with high cacao content! (over 70%) - of course with moderation :D

Cory -- yeah i know job market is terrible now..anywhere really - just trying to find a place where i have slight chance of getting a job - i ve been home for over a year now - it's really not good for me...i just wanna get out and work and socialize.. we'll see.

Tipsy Justina here...haha - well just finishing that bottle of wine I started yesterday. I had a good day food wise. I had a big salad for lunch: I made tuna salad with home made flat bread & home made tzatziki - it was deelish - and it took me 20 mins to do all these:

Also i had two parcels delivered:

!!CHALLENGE ALERT!!
Anybody interested in entering a challenge here on WLF? we are about to finish a 10 week challenge in 3 groups - it's pretty cool & motivating. Check out the thread San started on the Challenges section. & just leave a post that you are interested. It's not all about how much you lose, we have separate challenges every week: e.g. eat 2 fruits you never had OR 30 squats every day - stuff like that.

Hey Justina -

TOM will do that to the scale! It is frustrating but it will go back down afterwards. I have to say I am impressed that you are still eating so healthy during TOM. That is my biggest anxiety since I've started on this new lifestyle change. The week before and the first few days are just horrible and I want to eat everything that has chocolate on it. Ugh. So good on you!

Challenge sounds intriguing! I will go check it out!

Have an awesome weekend!

~Camila~

Camila...I did have wine yesterday - and I was begging my husband to give me pizza too hahaha!! he was showing some tough love...and he told me he'd make me a salad...I was like nooooooooooooooo hahaha.
Eventually I got some dried mango..
I crave chocolate bad - 2 more weeks to go - then I can finally have it!!!

Defo check out the challenge - would be cool to have you on board!

Oh man you are very lucky to have someone like that haha. I always ask my boyfriend to practice that kind of tough love haha. He says no at first then always gives in and lets me have what I want :banghead: Appreciate that!!!

You are right. Initially he was like that too - he gave in - but he knows how important this is for me, so he dares to stand up to me :p
